7:06 She really does!!! She came to me and prayed for me! And it healed a deep wound that made me feel completely unlovable as a being.

I remember casting protection circles (mother mary’s was red/pinkish) and calling her first because i felt calm next to a feminine face and presence. I was a little girl and I didn’t know what i was doing, and now I’m crying thinking about it. And my mother was a nun…lol, the religious trauma + my 8th house (cancer) Stellium (moon, jupiter, saturn) lmaooo, i was SEEING things. This patreon month is going to shake me…and it’s my birthday month, it will be perfect I’m so excited.

What a beautiful introduction to this practice. Although I do not plan to take this journey with you all, I feel like the things you said about ego-less devotion and surrender is so applicable to what I’ve been thinking about lately. Thank you!

Your videos are such gifts, Ruby, thank you, much appreciated. I especially find your views on esoteric Christianity and Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene very useful.

I have thought several times about working with Mother Mary but my religious trauma won't let me and I don't intend to venerate Jesus Christ or God again in my life.

That passage you read us was lovely. Does the book list the specific verse that comes from?
Thanks as always! Very interested in the new dimension this could bring the work into! Have a blessed day :]

Is it true that Mother Mary is Aphrodite? I've seen some people saying this

I think it would be a disservice to try and syncretize Mother Mary with Aphrodite. They really do not share the same attributes and to be quite honest I think it's a knee jerk reaction of people with religious trauma who still want to work with Mother Mary to try and associate her with different Goddesses in an attempt to not trigger that trauma. Which is understandable but ultimately (IMO) unhelpful, since as I said their attributes and energies are quite different and will likely just lead to the practitioner becoming confused and abandoning the practice.

Many of the titles and some of the symbols associated with Mother Mary in the Catholic church come from older Mediterranean Goddess cults such as Diana, Aphrodite and especially Isis. "Stella Maris", (Star of the Sea), "Theotokos" (Mother of God), Queen of Heaven, for instance were all titles used for the Goddess Isis in her Greco Roman mystery religion. It has been said (though not sure 100% if this is true) that some old statues of Isis nurturing the baby Horus were re-dedicated to Mary and the Christ child. I see Mother Mary as a very powerful and valid face the Goddess took so that She could remain present in the new Christian world. So many ancient Goddesses are a part of her lineage.

@rodriguezmystic Yes, I am aware. But Mary has much more in common with Isis than any other. I never said syncretism is bad, I was just trying to say Aprodite is not the best choice and is coming from people who, for whatever reason, want to turn Mary into something she's not because of their own religious issues and traumas.

@@daughter_of_the_magdalene hi, sorry I didn't actually read your comment, I was replying to the original poster @love25147 I agree with you that Mary has more Isis attributes than Aphrodite and also agree that Mary (and any goddess or being) should be looked at as an individual in their own right
as well, for sure! I don't see Mary as replacing Isis or just being Isis really, I would still see Mary as very much her own entity as well even though I appreciate the links she has to other goddesses.
