  • This is a review of the superbright Imalent MS06 flashlight. The MS06 is the brightest flashlight I have tested so far and is capable of a maximum light output of 25,000 lumens. Imalent are known for their superbright flashlights and the MS06 is no exception. There are very few compact handheld flashlights can can compete with the 25000 lumen MS06 from Imalent.

    Product Sourcing:
When it comes to sourcing a product for review, I will usually either purchase an item personally or reach out to a supplier requesting a sample for review. Most suppliers, after seeing the channel, are supportive if they are confident in their product, appreciating the value of greater exposure.
I am sometimes asked to review a product by a supplier which I will only agree to if the product fits the channel and I believe will be of interest to you, my audience. Also the product needs to be worthy of a review. It is not in my interest to review inferior or poor quality products and therefore as you might expect many requests are politely declined.
Any sponsored videos (paid for reviews) are clearly stated as such so there can be no misunderstanding. Even with sponsored reviews I will only agree to a sponsorship on products and services which I believe will be of genuine interest to viewers.
I will always make reference in the video to products which have been provided for review by a supplier and I always make it clear to the supplier that they cannot influence or be involved in the review in any way if they choose to supply a product.
Sometimes a supplier will provide a link to the product or the supplier which I am happy to include in the description. Sometimes I will be provided with an affiliate link so I can earn a commission on sales and this helps to support channel costs but never at the expense of an honest review.
If a product I have reviewed is available from Amazon I will often include an Amazon link in the description. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you purchase a product or service with the links that I provide I may receive a small commission. There is no additional charge to you.
Thank you for supporting the channel so I can continue to provide you with regular reviews, thoughts and ideas and (hopefully) inspiration! Please consider subscribing to keep up to date with new video releases.

My first thought was that it would be a great coastguard backup torch, lots of options for night searches.; basically for anyone who has reason to be searching at night/in dark places, rescue being the obvious one,. I remember yachting once and practicing the Man overboard drill, surely a great option to pinpoint someone in the water in the dark with turbo and then track then on high till the boat can manoeuvre for rescue

Amazing content as always, it's good to introduce lesser known brands as well. Some channels are more of a snobs in terms of only working with like 3-4 big brand names and that's it.

Great review again Jon, what a piece of kit! I agree about the size and weight - I rarely use a similar sized torch because it gets really heavy after a while. 4000 lumens that fits it my jeans pocket is enough for me. Honestly 400 lumens on my headlamp is more than enough for 99% of my needs, but it's fun to have more.

Another great review Jon. I remember my first LED torch a LED Lenser P7 bought 11 years ago and that was 200 lumen. Interesting to see the technology evolve so rapidly. Imalent do a 100000 lumen torch but it's over £500 which is a little out of my price range for a flashlight this looks more reasonable for the money.

I work security and there is no better defence/offence than a strong flashlight. You don't even have to do it "on purpose." Sometimes when I'm having a heated discussion with a difficult individual (usually drunk) I will casually sweep my 1,200 lumen light past their face, usually at night, and they settle down quickly.

The turbo mode can be super useful as a self defense tool at night without the need for a pepper spray or similar. If someone attacks you, quickly turning on turbo will blind them for a few seconds giving at opportunity to get away. If that doesn’t work you can use it as a brick 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@brertt8350 Like I said, many choices on the market today. I make purchase decisions based on value to me and fulfilling my needs. For example, I own rechargeable lights and am well prepared to recharge them, but I expressly chose a AA light over a rechargeable for travel and outdoors, because I may not have the recharging options available and replacing batteries takes seconds, not hours. I’ve been satisfied with the value, reliability and functionality of the Nitecore, and Surefire, products I’ve purchased. Some have long ago been supplanted by other products, but continue to serve me well in every day use.

@@javedali-te2xc both makers are good so you can't go far wrong - specs on Nitecore are better 2000lm vs 1500lm and 1000m range vs 925m range. I will be testing P30i soon - I have it here now and it looks great - but have not seen the Fenix. Nitecore has USB-c charging socket built in - Fenix includes filters. Both compact. Hope that helps a little.

Very cool! As already posted my main concerns would be the longevity of the charging cable connection and the battery. I paid $125 for a CR-123 powered 500 lumen two-level handheld “defender” flashlight last year (with a crenellated impact bezel and tail cap switch) so this price isn’t out of line. I really like that 4-press lockout feature; never seen that feature before. Thanks for the great review. 👍

Hi Jon, after watching your review of this flood lite I ordered one on Nov 24th. I did so directly from the imalent store as opposed thru Amazon bcuz it was significantly cheaper!$! That being said I still havnt recieved it 3 weeks later. I did get a text update last Thursday Dec 9th that my order had shipped. Is that normal for it to take so long to receive a purchase from this store? I realize that you said they maybe located in China. Thanks

Nice they include the belt sheath, of course it's probably illegal to carry a beefy flashlight like that in the UK. I mean, you could make someone really uncomfortable with that being so bright!

Actually, there could be a use case for photography as well. Specifically for outdoors portraits, in bright sunlight. If there were a Kelvin setting and a way to screw it onto a lightstand...

Don't you have a Kelvin setting on your camera and a pipe collar or a hose clamp?

My issue has always been the over sensitivity of the switch on these types. I have a "thrower" for security work 4200 lm, and am constantly switching on unintentional y.

      @JonGadget  Před 2 lety +2

yes, this one is too sensitive too - tail switch better option in the main

Had one from another brand and they get hot. Also the batteries had no current limiting to them so they did not last long. This is probably a lot more advanced.

Hi. I've not reviewed the R60C but reflector profile provides greater reported range of over 1KM. So depends if you want range or flood I think.

The cord would double as a belt for the case and you should be able to plat it up when using it as a lanyard on your wrist.
