    One concern with most mining operations is environmental pollution, which also applies to lithium. However, this isn't mining. This is extraction from brines, so I would hope there is little or no environmental impacts from this. Can anyone confirm how much or how little environmental waste is involved in these processes?

      It uses a ton of water which is fine if you have desalination but not fine when people in Chile have none cause the mining companies bought it all😅

      It's perfect bro and even if you are just like me and are wondering where is the hype over renewable resources we'll this is the beginning and the world will be woken up when our 50 years worth of natural gas and oil leaves them paying 10-15-20 at the pump here very. Very soon. 😇

    @14:25 the sentence "Exon made a big resource acquisition of lithium"...
    The oil companies have bought battery technology patents for decades just to shelve them.
    That has postponed electric vehicle adoption.
    Now they're allowed to buy a large amount of lithium reserves?
    Sounds like they're still trying to sandbag battery creation.
    They shouldn't be allowed to continue their monopoly.

    • @PlanetEarth3141
      @PlanetEarth3141 Před 4 měsíci +5

      I agree of course, but it won't matter in the long run. If you go out of business by penalizing better competition then lithium will not save you. I call it kharma.

      I don't think they're sandbagging battery production, but rather looking to get as big a piece of the battery making pie as possible.
      In other words, I see it as a vote of confidence that lithium batteries are the way forward.

    Hey, I have a question. I really want to invest in EnergyX but last I heard, Tesla was building their own lithium refinery, so is EnergyX directly competing with Tesla there?
    The need for lithium will be so large that I’m sure it won’t matter for a while anyway. However, I might be misunderstanding what Tesla is doing with their refinery. Thoughts?

    • @terrysullivan1992
      @terrysullivan1992 Před 4 měsíci +10

      Tesla is building a modest size hard rock spodumene concentrate refining plant in Corpus Christi. Energy X is developing a new technology for concentrating lithium from brine.

    Does the forecasted demand take into account alternative chemistries for big applications?
    I totally agree that the first wave of batteries will all include lithium, but once the prices get high, wouldn't alternatives start to chip away at the demand?

    There is something really wrong with the cost, it is impossible 50.000 USD for 8 M3 (8 IBC's) of brine from any salt flat from CHILE, BOLIVIA or ARGENTINA to US. Is it an ocean or air freight cost??.
    Bolivia opened a 2nd call for companies interested in develop DLE projects, after the ENERGYX´s silly delay of 10 minutes in the last call with Bolivia lithium company (YLB) and all the efforts to install a pilot plant in Bolivia, I thought EnergyX would participate however seems like they are lowering their arms now, not even try to send offers to YLB. Does anyone really know what happened in Bolivia? I am not talking about the "russian/chinesse conspiracy theory" they told to justify the 10 minute delay because 7 companies submitted on time, including LILAC from USA. At least they should fire whoever makes these mistakes. I know the man who screwed up the operation in Bolivia and he still was promoted to EnergyX SouthAmerica Operation Manager, WTF???

After you stop drinking water from plastic bottles for awhile you realize just how disgusting it and wasteful it is. All I can taste now is the plastic. I would rather go thirsty than accept a plastic water bottle.

    I look at the clothes, and listen to the surfer bro slang, and know that I would never invest one nickel with this guy. I think that while this guy is worrying about what pair of ripped designer jeans go with which hat, his competitors who have been mining for decades are rolling up their very generic sleeves and figuring out how to scale up in the most efficient way.
