Features
[Overview of Neptune 3 Pro]
225*225*280mm printing size can meet the needs of most users. With an STM32 motherboard, all axes of ELEGOO Neptune 3 Pro are driven by silent stepper motors for quieter and more precise movement during printing, which reduces the noise as low as 47-48dB. The easy-to-setup printer comes with the main components pre-assembled, as well as a complete tool kit for quick installation.
[Dual-Gear Direct Extruder]
The new dual-gear direct drive extruder is made of SUS303 high-quality stainless steel with a 3:1 reduction ratio and stronger extrusion force for smoother filament feeding and more stable & accurate printing, which greatly reduces nozzle clogging and under-extrusion issues, printing effect is better than Bowden extruder. Compatible with multiple filaments such as PLA, TPU, PETG, and ABS.
[Nozzle Kit for Better Printing Effect]
The nozzle kit contains a TC4 titanium alloy throat pipe, an aluminum alloy flat heat sink structure, and a brass nozzle. The widened aluminum heat sink paired with the front close-fitting efficient cooling fan for a better heat dissipation effect and lower the temperature of the throat pipe, thereby reducing the possibility of nozzle clogging. Fans on both sides of the print head ensure omnidirectional and rapid cooling of printed layers to improve the model details and overhang printing effect.
[Smarter Printing Experience] Auto mesh bed leveling adopts a non-contact high precision sensor to automatically scan 36 (6x6) points of the hotbed and collect data in real-time, and then adjust the Z-axis height to compensate for any irregularities and unevenness of the printing platform. (Only applicable to metal printing platforms) Intelligent fan control: after printing, all fans will automatically stop working below 50℃ to extend fan lifespan, reduce noise, and save power. Smart resume printing: the printer will auto-pause when the filament runs out or breaks, and you can resume printing after a power outage.
[More Stable Printing]
The Z-axis with dual synchronized lead screws and dual-motor drive for more stable movement of the print head and higher printing accuracy, avoiding the printing deviation driven by a single Z-axis lead screw motor. The 4-wheel V-guide rail pulley is made of POM with more stable movement, low noise, wear resistance, and longer service life.
[Ease of Use]
PEI magnetic platform with a special coating and spring steel sheet for good adhesion and anti-warping, so that prints can be easily released or popped off by bending the print steel sheet. The 4.3-inch removable capacitive touch screen can be operated by hand-held or fixed on the base. Built-in print model preview function to preview the model image before printing and observe the printing progress. The 250W high-power hotbed can quickly heat up to 100ºC and start printing. The integrated LED light bar on the gantry can be operated by pressing the buttons on the screen to conveniently observe the model printing in a poor light environment.

I've been looking for an affordable and relatively noob-friendly 3D printer to prototype some ideas for products I would like to bring to market. This Neptune looks like the one.

Did you get it?
@@jesseburson I hope so! Was shipped a month ago 😉
I've been researching a custom case for an electronic project, and I just realized 3D printing is the simplest way to avoid frustration, and much simpler than cutting and gluing plastic. I read the reviews and Neptune 3 seems a great option. Thank you very much for taking the time to do this review.
I have been really looking forward to getting into 3d printing. Watching your review of the Elegoo Neptune 3 has me even more excited for the possibilities of owning my first one.
Happy thanksgiving! been keeping a close eye on this one so thank you for the overview. Neptune has been putting out some good printers would love to one day own one of these.
Love the video, been on the fence about what to get as my first 3d printer. The Neptune 3 Pro has been at the top of the list. I can imagine all the things I could print for my son and in the garage.
Thank you for the video. I have been doing research and this Neptune 3 pro is now at the top of my list!
Nice overview and thank you!
Been looking at this Neptune 3 Pro and the Ender 3 S1 Pro. Can't decide whether to start with really low initial price and make an easy exit, or wait and spend more on the first one.
The print quality of the N3P looks really nice and clean.
Also looks like most countries have this one on backorder currently.
Thank you again for the nifty overview!
Hello, I really enjoyed watching your video of the NEPTUNE 3D printer. Your instructions were very easy to follow, especially for a novice like myself. We have been looking at 3D printers in hopes of getting one for our 2 Grandson, ages 12 & 13, for Christmas. So far this looks like a great option. Thank You. 🙂
Awesome review. My friend just got an Elegoo Neptune 3D printer and your video popped up when I did a search for it. He is printing gifts for the Holidays and that is a great idea. I want to get a good 3D printer, but it’s not in my budget right now being this close to Christmas. Thanks for the review.
Been spending quite a bit of time doing due diligence looking at 3D printers. For my first printer, I’m looking for something that is well put together and has nice features. Want to get a good feel for things without having to do upgrades and mods until I’m really comfortable and confident with a machine. Watching your review of the Elegoo Neptune 3 has leaning towards this machine. Appreciate the effort in presenting it.
I've been looking to get into 3D printing to introduce my kids to a new hobby. These Neptune 3 pro's look pretty stellar from all the research I've been doing. Thanks for the review!
As a 3D artist I'm dying to see some of my models printed out in all their plastic glory! I have been doing research lately on a printer and the Neptune keeps coming up as the leader of the mid range budget class. Thanks for the helpful video!
I have been researching 3d printers for the past couple of weeks. This is going to be my first 3d printer and I think the Neptune 3 Pro would make a great first printer. Thanks for the review.
My wife is always ordering 3d prints from Etsy for her crafting hobbies and would love to get into 3d printing and be able to print them for her using this Neptune Pro 3 printer!
Love the review of the Neptune, I have been looking at gettingitno 3D printing for a while now and as you know there is a stack to chose from. I was considering the Ender 3 V2 but after seeing your review of the Neptune I think this is the way to go, thank you NEPTUNE
Neptune
I have been wanting to get into 3d printing and found your review of the neptune 3 pro after searching for budget 3d printers. This looks like a great start off point to learn and start making some great prints.
Thanks for vid
I recently got into riding EUCs ie. electric unicycles & have been wanting to print my own power/jump pads & other accessories. Just this aspect alone will pay for the cost of the Neptune printer. Being a noob at this 3d printing, I believe this Neptune 3 Pro will be perfect for me. Easy to set up, easy to use & very good prints & more important, the direct extruder will be great for TPU. Thanks again for taking me on a ride to Neptune
Such a great review. I’ve been going back and forth between several brands and this looks like the one to get. Thank you. Neptune.
Thanks for this review. I discovered a lot of very cool 3d model of comic book character. Would love to try printing them with the Neptune
Great review, was going with creality until I saw the print quality of your Neptune , looking to print some rococos pieces for my son.. still learning about the 3d world but this looks like a winner .
Considering adding a Neptune 3D printer to work alongside a cnc I have in the shop. Currently do not own one but have been researching the Neptune 3 Pro which led me here. Awesome video. Thanks.
I have been very interested in learning 3d modeling for 3d printing. This Neptune looks like an awesome entry point for bringing my creations to life.
Great video! My son and I are looking to get into 3D printing and working on projects together. This Neptune review was awesome and looks like it would be a great for us to start out.
Thanks for your review. I´m currently looking for my first 3D Printer and the Neptune 3 Pro looks promising for a beginner out of the box experience 🙂
Great overview! Looks like the Neptune 3 pro hits the sweet price to performance. Looking to get a 3D printer for my kids for Christmas. Never owned one before… but it seems like they are much more approachable these days.
That NEPTUNE printer is really clean looking. Hardly any wires showing. And the list of options for money is fantastic.
Doing a course on 3d drawing and printing right now and this new neptune 3 really caught my attention a real good review.
This Neptune looks amazing! I wanted to start 3D printing years ago, I already started taking an online course, this could be the perfect occasion to start!
I have been looking at 3d printers to make parts for my metal detectors and build some custom battery boxes for other tools I need more power for longer use - so far this Neptune looks to have the best prints so far - thank you for showing it - I just looked and they are sold out for me in the US -
I'm glad I found your excellent review of the Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro. I've been looking at this printer pretty hard lately, and I've been hinting very strongly to my wife I'd like to get one for Christmas. :). I purchased a Tevo Tarantula kit about 5 years ago, and was just never able to get it running with any consistency. Plus, my wiring job was so sketchy that it would randomly shut down in the middle of a print. So I retired it in the interest of not burning the house down. I've been itching to get really get into 3D printing lately, with a reliable machine that won't catch fire, and this one has a lot of great upgraded features that make it a heck of a deal. It's crazy how far the beginner models have come in just a few years.
I've been looking at getting a 3d printer for over a year now. I've been going back an forth between resin or fdm and an Ender or a Neptune! Analysis paralysis always gets me. I've been looking into getting a printer to print and paint minis and terrain for d&d. I've always been interested in maker products but just never had the time or money to get into them.
Nice review TriPod, happy to see that your going to give the printer away to a newbie!
I love the concept of thinking of an idea and taking it to completion. It seems like magic to me just foreign but we are here in that time and I don’t want to miss out maybe I’ll create the next big thing on my new NEPTUNE. Anyway thank you for the opportunity!
Nice video, I’ve only used resin printers and just purchased a Saturn 8K a couple weeks ago. I’m really interested in a filament printer for some larger projects that don’t seem to fit a resin printer like flat thin objects and tool holders, drawer dividers and the like. The Neptune really caught my eye when I bought the Saturn and almost wished I had purchased it. Thanks again for such a informative video covering the setup.
Great job on the video! This Neptune printer looks like exactly what I need to get started.
Great neptune review. Very interested in getting into 3d printing to bring some of my projects to life.
I appreciate your review of this 3D printer. I keep coming back to this printer as a good choice for me. I have never owned one before. What has me wanting to buy one is that we recently got a XTool D1 laser. It has my creative mind on overdrive. Think it would be cool to print my own RC Airplanes.
Thank You for the Neptune review again. It helps me with my decisions..
Ian
I've been looking into this printer as a beginner/intro to 3d printing, the Neptune 3 has tons of features for the price point. I definitely would've entered, you've got a new subscriber! Thanks for the information!
I have so many things that could need fixing around the house that a printer would be helpful for. This Neptune printer would be a great start!
I never have had a 3D printer but each day I saw videos and interesting things made on 3D printers. I think I will probably buy one but if it win this contest, sure I will be very glad to receive this Neptune 3 pro
I love the idea of printing almost anything out of seemingly thin air there is something magical about it and would love to have a go but could never afford it. Neptune.
WOW. This would be excellent for my son to start out with as he is young and the fiddly nature of more basic printers will cause him more frustration than anything else.
Neptune
My son turned 18 and I'm fascinated with a 3d printer. I want to get him one for Christmas. He is into anime and horror and I love horror and just things that are different. I would love to get one of these printers. Been doing alot of research Neptune
I'd love to start 3D printing with this Neptune to print cases for my Arduino projects. Thanks!
Thanks for this informative video about Neptune, I am looking into 3D printing as I am a visual Artist and I made some 3 models of art toys that I wish I can 3D print and paint them.
I really hope to get into 3d printing, and I can't stop researching which one to get. I'm thinking of getting the Neptune 3 Pro because of the amazing price.
I would love to get into 3D printing with this NEPTUNE as I have some ideas to PC case modding which I want to try and it would be handy for some repairs at home which would make my wife happy :-) thank you for the review, the video was really interesting!
Neptune, I have always loved the process of being able to take a idea, make it a 3d model and then being able to make it in real life. That’s why I want to get into 3d printing
I would love to get into detailed 3d printing so I can start designing my own models and hopefully articulated action figures sometime in the future! This NEPTUNE would be a great printer to get started on that journey!
Great review! I been looking for my first best bang for your buck FDM printer. Trying to narrow it down. I am into star wars and would like to print accessories like lightsaber stands and other figures. Also would like to print comic helmets. Go Neptune!
I’ve been looking to get into 3D printing to be able to make replacement parts for some of the old plastic parts on my truck and to make mods to some of the tools in my shop. The Neptune looks like the way I want to dive in. 🙂
Nice of you doing a giveaway as I wanted to order Neptune 3 pro but it is already sold out wanted it for great performance with TPU.
Good video. I'm currently looking for my first 3D printer and this Neptune 3 Pro has been at the top of my shortlist. I think even if I don't win it I'll probably still buy one; I'm into RC planes and this looks like it'll cover everything I'm likely to want to do. 👍
I've wanted a 3d printer for a long time now, to make parts for my hobbies. Magnet motors, wind turbines. Battery cells, and for parts around the house. I saw this printer recently and think its perfect for a beginner and many of my odd little projects. NEPTUNE 🙏
I'm about to jump into 3d printing train. I've been looking into this printer for past few days comparing all the options but now it's sold out in Europe :) Go Neptune!
I’ve been looking to get a new hobby and I’m very interested in 3d printing, I’ve been looking for printers and this one hits all my checkmarks for sure
Neptune!
Very nice of you to give one away, good luck to everyone🎉
Great little printer right there... another brilliant review John :)
Newbie getting into printing here. I've been researching both this printer, and the Sovol SV06. Would love to start tinkering to build things for around the house... A stand for my echo show, board game inserts, drawers, you name. Neptune
I've seen a lot of STLs out there for 3d blood bowl stadiums, this Neptune would be great for something like that! Amazing how nice an FDM can get these days.
Holy Neptune Batman, that is a great printer. I do a lot of radio work for my hobby, and
some times the knobs are missing. It would be nice to be able to print my own.
Thanks for a great video, been thinking about getting a 3d printer to make toys and carparts for awhile now. Tho with 4 kids its not a possible thing to do right now, prio the food 😂 But you sir just earned yourself a new subscriber! Oh and yeah, Neptune 😊
I have caught on 3d printing through a couple of school mates and now im looking for my own one. The Neptune 3 Pro would be a perfect starter printer for me and i think the user friendliness would help me out a lot! 😁
Ive been wanting to get into the 3d printing hobby. To both give me a hobby and to potentially make some money on the side from designing prints and what not. Ive been looking at the Neptune line of printers, and ive heard nothing but good things from the Neptune 3 and Neptune 3 pro. But, its such an investment to get into the hobby. This would truly be an amazing opportunity. Love the video!
I really want to be able to create controller holders and things I need around my house. Neptune with its features seems like it could help me with that.
This Neptune would be perfect as my first 3D printer, it looks it has every feature I was looking for on a new 3D printer
I dunno if I'd qualify as I have an Elegoo resin printer but I've been humming and hawing about getting the Neptune 3 Pro. Thanks for the review and giveaway!
I think this Neptune 3 Pro would be a great starter printer for someone just starting out. Great review,.
I'm in Canada and have been looking at getting one of the NEPTUNE 3 pro printers.
Unfortunately, they aren't going to be available here until around mid January. So if I won it....hurray! I'm into scale model building and would love to be able to create my own builds. Thanks for the opportunity!
Well im looking to get back into 3D printing since I have been making stuff lately, just gutted a broken hoverboard for its motors, so I have been looking at printers for printing mounts and crank shafts (to cast in alluminum). Working on making a scroll saw but mounting the motor has been a pain in the butt so far using wood, having the Neptune would be nice.
Great video! I’m excited about the possibility of getting into 3D printing so I can make some toys for daughters and the students we serve. We work with under-privileged youth and the Neptune would help us encourage students to think creatively. Thanks for a great review
Looking into buying my first 3d printer and found this video because elegoo neptune 3 pro is one of my top contenders. Hoping this is a quick plug-n-play printer to start making prints quick.
Great review - I want to get a printer to get my kids involved and custom fix some odds and ends around the house. Neptune
I'd love a 3D Printer to make terrain. Perhaps I'll start printing NEPTUNE for some space games.
I would love to finally be able to bring my 3d models to life and prototipe my projects and robots on the fly, Neptune !
I've been eyeballing this printer for the last month! I had the Neptune 3 for a few weeks but I guess the PSU was faulty because it just up & quit running mid-print so I've been without since then. Just to throw my hat in the ring, Neptune!
Wanted to buy this neptune 3 pro printer, but was sold out already. Have been watching you and Jim of edge of tech for awhile. This would be my first printer.
I've been looking at this Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro and the Sovol SV06. I want to be able to print some small projects for around the house and shop.
great video
just ordered
delivery after 12/15/2022
I hope it keeps what it promises
the neptune 3 pro looks good never had a 3d printer but i did had a design class that made 3d stuff years ago
This Neptune 3D printer looks fantastic to get started into mini wargaming terrain. Couple this with a small resin printer and the world would be your oyster! Packed with features.
I'm a mechanical engineering student, I've always been interested by 3D printers but never got one. I'm now doing an internship in a aerospace company where I'm designing CAD models for metal additive manufacturing in the research and development section. This activity made my interest for 3d printing skyrocket ( the pun was intended). That's why I Ended on your video because I'm looking a all the available printers. The Neptune 3 pro really looks awesome with all of those features. That would be great to Tinker with and do some projects.
Thanks anyway and best of luck
Neptune, I genuinely thing 3d printing is the Future of consumer shopping. That's why I have gotten into it I would love to be able have a printer like this that seems like it doesn't need much time invested in maintenance with the auto bed leveling, and I'm able to leave it be and trust because of the filament runn out sensor. This Neptune looks amazing
Neptune. I'm not sure if im too late. But this something i always wanted to dip my toe in. Im a digital artist mostly 2d. I haven't done 3d in a while. but this would really help me get into 3dsculpting again. i would love to create some 3d printed sculpts and then try for some figures later. thanks for the great video.
Neptune! I have been 3D designing many designs and always had to wait for some time on a shared printer at uni. Now for quick prototypes / ideas that you want to test, you are very limited. Would be amazing to get one! Thanks for the opportunity.
That giveaway is a really cool way to get someone new into the hobby! Looks like a neat little printer, too!
Hmm.. It's been already two weeks since this video is published, so I maybe too late, but here I am. You can't say I didn't try. I've been trying to building some custom tool sets and I was literally hacking away with some hand tools, but I couldn't make it to the precision I wanted. Which led me to the 3D printer for the first time. But I realize there are so many options out there, specially between 'FDM' (whatever it means) and 'Resin'. I fell into a rabbit hole of resin world, away from FDM due to too much plastic wastes(?), but resin is also messy and its shyness to sunlight and love for ventilation add few logistic complications. So I gave up on 3D printing and fell into another rabbit hole of CNC machines and routers in the wonderful world of woodworking. Although woodworking is one of my top five bucket list, I simply don't have a dedicated space for it. Which led me back to "more" 3D printing youtube videos, defeated. I finally started to eye on Elegoo Neptune 3 (Pro) which led me to this video and I'm almost certain I will get it when it's available in few weeks. My last hurdle is to convince my wife why I spent $240+ without her approval. Can a generous gift save me from the wrath of the furious wife? And can I print many practical tools instead of toys?
I’m an action figure collector and would like to start doing dio stuff and maybe some vehicles. I’ve been paying attention to the 3D printer game but have never made the jump. There’s a community of GI Joe folks on Facebook that have really made me want to do this. This seems like the ideal printer to start with. Neptune!
Wow. I’ve been weighing so many intro printers as my first and I have been leaning towards Neptune printers. The 3 Pro seemed out of my price range. I already have a list of prints I’m designing in Fusion360 to learn the software.
Neptune I really want to have a printer like this one. I'm just learning all about the art of 3D printing and can hardly wait to get one so I can print gaming stands and one of a kind for my 4 grandkids. Neptune, this is a great looking machine!
I've got a Neptune 2 and this looks like an INSANE upgrade. I think it's worth the eventual $300 but for the early bird $230 that's what I paid for my N2!
Hi there, just came by your channel benchmarking 3D printers, like always lol! Love the content, just subd!👏 Neptune, I've been looking forward to owning a 3D printer for 3 years now. I'm a student that has spent countless hours on CAD programs to create some stuff like a 3D printable CNC machine. I always love creating and crafting, so having a 3D printer would take my creations to the next level!!🙏💫 This would be massive! Thank you for the opportunity!
I recently started looking I to getting a 3d printer and was about to pull the trigger on an ender. I stumbled upon this elegoo 3 pro and it looks like a better printer for the price. It has been sold out every time I've looked it up. I want to make some coustom tool and battery holders for my power tools. The elegoo printer would be great to prototype parts or anything I can think of.
Great review thank you!!
Last year I bought a 3d printer sadly one morning they broke into my house and stole o a lot of things among then it was my ender 3 😔. Neptune 3 pro !!
Looks like a nice budget printer. I have recently started rebuilding vintage computers and programming them. I also am a large and medium format film photographer. I often need to replace plastic parts that have crumbled on both computers and cameras. This NEPTUNE printer would help me do that. NEPTUNE
Neptune? More Yep-tuned. Because just like planet, any signs of ring-ing isn’t perceivable to the human eye…
Ha.Ha. Sounds like it would be a great option for my 3D printer, which is how I found your channel when looking for SV01 Pro reviews. Glad I waited for Black Friday sales, because Elegoo really knocked it out of the park with the Neptune 3 Pro. From what I can tell, this is probably the single most plug and play printer under $1000. Quality budget machines like this are what will bring in newbies to the hobby, like me.
Congrats Elegoo and great review Tripod Garage!
I am a game dev and I have been thinking of getting into 3D printing so I can finally be able to physically touch my 3D models . Based on my research so far, the Neptune seems to be the best choice for beginners. :)
I've been wanting a 3D printer for a while now but never went for it, I've finally decided that I'm going to get one (I have professional CAD experience and some limited machine building and programming experience) and the Neptune 3 or 3 pro was my first choice but they're pretty much impossible to get in Canada right now without overpaying. Also, neptune is a pretty cool planet
Neptune, I have always wanted to give 3D printing a go but never really knew where to start. Well i guess the start would be building one or buying one. Always seemed like an interesting hobby.
I have been looking to get a 3d printer to make the Twisting blades of a Ugrinsky turbine for a windmill that I want to construct. New to making windmills and never used a 3d printer. The learning curve for this Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro seems to be lower than other 3D printers that I have looked at, witch is good for me because building windmills is new to me as well. Witch is grate! So I can focus on my project instead.😀
Neptune I would love to get into 3d printing just for the crafting aspect alone not to mention the ability to create repair parts at home. I just love the thought of being able to prototype ideas any time I need. Thank you for the opportunity! Neptune
