Her mother's job is to be there to support her daughter's choices for the wedding, not take over. It was a good thing she took her out of the wedding. I am glad at the end she realized what she did was wrong and made up for it. This was a great lesson. Dhar, you did a great job with this.
I wish my mother knew that. I didn’t get a say in anything except my cake. But when the cake came, I was upset and disappointed. It wasn’t what I asked for. My mom changed everything. Behind my back. I hate roses, I talked to our florist about Lillie’s. The florist came and there was buckets of roses. My mom didn’t get the wedding of her dreams, she definitely used my wedding to get what she always wanted. I divorced a few short years later, and I married my 2nd husband that I met while we were both working on a small cruise ship in Alaska.
