@@bsherf934 Yeah they usually go for the "newly rich" that don't really know what to do with the money, how to invest, how to minimize taxes etc. and they basically just overcharge them for that information. Literally just get an accountant, they'll set things up for you, do your taxes and everything while being qualified to actually do so, and for a lot less money.

even with the Equal Pay Act, there's still a discrepancy between what men and women make overall, and that shouldn't be just ignored as a minor difference or because of job choice because that ignores the issue entirely to call it a non-issue

@Abigail you know that the whole "women get paid less then men" was a statistic that basically took all the women's wages and all the men's wages and averaged them out. There is also another statistic that shows that men typically go for higher-paying jobs (not to mention sports like the NBA and WNBA) so yes on average the male earns more but its because on average the male also has a better job that pays more.

Thats why a lot of people would prefer it the government rents out all buildings. IF you have a functioning government they wont really care mainly about profits and care more about everybody being able to afford housing. If you have only landlords this wont happen. Landlords are rich people who rent out buildings to poor people and then make it so expensive that poor people keep being poor.

Although 80k is a lot I don’t think it is as much as x thinks it is today. With inflation since 2017. $80,000 right now was around $60,000 back in 2017. It’s still good money but it is not ballin out anymore cause interest rate and the cost of everything is higher.
Depending on the city it's very good.
If you're working completely remote, and make 80k, you're easily going to have 5k of disposable income per month.
Partner up with a husband or wife, and even if they only contribute 4,5k, that's a balling household.
It's still well above average and especially the median. Around 85% people earn less. While yes, it's not as powerful as it used to be, it doesn't change the fact that you're doing A LOT better relative to most people.
if you’re talking about medians and averages nationwide, you’re already losing touch with reality. in some places, 80k is decent, and in other places, its terrible. its not useful to compare across a nation with such different costs of living by state
@@gianni50725 I don't know how much salaries have changed within 3 years, but in 2019 there wasn't a single city that had 80K salary on **average**, highest being San Fransisco with 75-77K.
Generally speaking, in the US, 80K is good. Of course in some rich suburb it's gonna be sh1t but you're not going to be there with that salary anyway, surely.

Bro why are people saying 80k is near poverty lmao. 80k usd a year is middle-class in most US states and at most lower-middle class in some of the more expensive ones. It's 80K for a SINGLE person, not 80K for his entire family. From a quick Google: Household income includes the total income by everyone over age 15 who is a part of that household, all added together. An income of $70,000 surpasses both the median incomes for individuals and for households. By that standard, $70,000 is a good salary. If $70K for an entire household is good, 70K for a single person is ballin.
For real, you can honestly live a pretty damn comfortable life making 80k a year with even a family of 3 or 4 in a lot of states. You aren't going to be driving a Lamborghini but damn you can at least have a decent house, car, and take the occasional vacation. It honestly just shows how bad people's perception of money is and how terrible most people are with money management and budgeting that they think making 80k a year makes you poor.

You have to realize that you have to manage expectations on what you are going to get with the money you make. Plus, chances are if you are good enough at what you do to be making 80k a year, that likely isn't the ceiling for your career or the field you work in.

welp I thought the guy who was on zero actually was going to be someone who earned a fair amount but I was very wrong... bruh I feel shame for not having a super high paying role despite spending like 18-22 in further education to get a maths degree and then covid has kinda messed things up too because I was 21 when it started and I'm 25 in a bit over three months. I legit get depressed or lost when I don't have work to do after like 2 or 3 days of not making anything so idk how that guy is 38 and cool. He must get a lot of support lol. Back when I was at uni I'd get £3k over the course of the year to cover travel and food and educational expenses etc and that was much more than I'd get otherwise lol. I thought I could continue living off that much at first lol but now I realise nope. Plus maybe we all go through that lesson of not spending all your money as soon as you get it as you begin to earn more

They seriously don’t need that, and, I don’t know what kind of church they are a pastor for but I’m assuming Christian, but the whole point of the offerings is basically to cover the base needs of the church and then reinvest the rest of the money into the community. It’s not meant to be a lucrative career, it’s something done out of a love for the God you serve and compassion for those around you.
