I'd love to see more detail on adjusting the cams for length and let off on that sync cam. I just got my epic x2 yesterday. I had it set up at the shop buti may need a pinch more length. Did not understand the ÷ - reference for let off.
So far i am liking the bow!
Part 2: setting nock point and rest.
Part 3: peep sight and sights.
Hey Joshua, I have been setting up my new bow and trying to tune a bow for the first time. I cannot get my cam timing (cable stops) perfect. The bottom cam cable stop is about 1/8-1/4" away when the top one is perfect. If I add a half twist to the top cam cable loop (for bottom yoke) then the gap flips to the top cam. Any ideas to rectify this?
That sounds tricky, if the strings are new I’d say to shoot them in a ton and see if it stretches to the point where you can use a twist to time it. If not, they sell little timing pegs that you can put in the bottom cable to essentially shorten it and speed up the timing, but you can also just use small sections of Dloop that are cut and burnt and put those in your cable strands so you don’t have to buy the pegs!
Let me know what you try and if it works!
@@joshuadouglasarchery thank you for the reply. Those are great ideas. I have an extra bowmar peep tuner I could put there to test also. I'll give that a shot this weekend and see if it corrects the timing. The D loop material is a great idea too!!
