An interesting thing about this episode is that people were wondering why he destroyed a whole part of the city and didn't understand why cuz the reason itself lies in the Japanese used by Zenon.
What Zenon said when he used the word "Awakened" is Kaku-Sei-Sha with the written form of 覚醒者 but because Japanese has a lot of words that sound the same but are written differently and have different meanings, what Shadow heard was completely different from what Zenon meant, and it insulted Shadow to the core. What he heard was Kaku-Sei-Sha, with the written form of 核性者 which means "One who is Atomic". So basically, Shadow thought that the mf in front of him declared to be THE one who is atomic and decided to show Zenon who really is Atomic.
5:24 this has hidden meaning. You see, Cid learned all martial arts of his world, including fencing. He also learned Bushido of this world. And combined everything into his unique, beatiful and incredibly powerful sword style.
But in this fight with Zenon he deliberately uses "Ordinary" technique. Only to show Alexia how good it can be if you train with it. Remember when he said to Alexia that he likes her sword style? It was not because he does, but because he admires her deducation as not a talented person to perfect her skills. Just like he, not being talented, perfected martial arts himself through sheer effort.
So he took it personally, when Alexia said she doesnt like her style. Which means she doesnt appreciate the effort going into becoming stronger. And he inspired her to continue training with her ordinary style. And to become stronger herself.
Simply because Cid doesnt value borrowed strength, so he spreads his teaching of "become stronger yourself. Dont rely on borrowed power" whenever he can
Beautifully put. We touch on this towards the end of the video, when Alexia is newly appreciating her own style after Cid went nuclear. A really nice touch for her character.

"My man literally just generated a whole nuclear explosion... when did he learn to do that?!" - You know, I've read like the first 100 chapters of the webnovel for this anime. This was one of the moments where it looked far cooler then I imagined it in my head reading it xD. Some things were cut out of the anime (There are also some parts in the novel that just work better then it did in the anime). But I'm glad they did this part great justice. Great reaction!

The guy who directs this is using the "explain as we go" ticket. So they decided to use fast pacing in the first two episodes to cut to the action first and then dump lore from time to time as the anime progresses. So we will get the backstory of all the seven shades members and more explanation of Shadow's power later.

They were hint regarding how he get "I AM ATOMIC" is given little by little before episode 5:
A) Through his cure (Experimentation) with Alpha when she was a blob he learn a lot about magic and 'possession' which is cause by a magic overload that mutate the body, he find the cure and would also develop the potential of this cure for himself and use it for his very own end. those who are cured of possession turn them into a magic powerhouse as seen with Alpha who oneshot the possessed Emilia.
B) Episode 2 also shows the prototype of 'I AM ATOMIC' when he was fighting Grease. It is named (In the Manga and Gacha) as Magic Overdrive.

In the light novel, Cid actually said "no way in hell" and flipped her off at the end. That would've been funnier to see animated, i believe.

Don't know if anyone else mentioned this and don't know if you guys have already figured this out but, when Cid went "Atomic", he actually put up a barrier so he was reducing the scale of the explosion and he only used a small percentage of his power....which still left a giant ass hole in the middle of the city. Think about that.
Totally forgot about that. But now that you mention it, I do remember! Very badass.
