(Cue flashback of Vinny beating the crap out of his Wii)
Which stream was that?
It just couldn't accept the disc in the previous Shovelware Showcase.
+TheSonicWarrior 9th Shovelware showcase
He just lost all of his games
Or did he move?

0:00 - Heroes by David Bowie
If I remember correctly, Mike did say something about being good at dodgeball... as the ball.
Way to make an entire sequel off a random quote in the very end of the movie.
Shovelware is my favorite series from Vinny.
Same
this and gettin weird with it
plug and plague, shovelware showcase, corruption stockpile, and getting weird with it

I downright fucking loved Scream Arena as a kid. I beaten the game on GameCube with everything unlocked without a memory card.
That's pretty impressive
ah good old times when you had no memory card space on it
That’s one thing I don’t miss from the GameCube days, trying to manage save space on memory cards was a pain. Especially with large games like animal crossing, they took up almost a whole memory card.
@@Tekape me too
I like how the only picture Vinny has on his Wii, is a bee
that's the default picture, lol
It's hip to fuck em.
Copulation.
With beesq.
The bee's fucking a flower
He's beginning to become one with the shitposts and I'm not sure if I like it
Can we have a stream of Vinny taking his old Wii into the forest and shoot it, preferably while crying and whispering "good Wii" ?
Look at the rabbits
We gotta put him down Coral, don't want him to turn into a walker Coral.
Good Wii Hunting
Unfortunately you aren't allowed to own guns in New York, so this cannot happen
@@TheChiperSdre34 he can just go south and do it
I was so mad at my dad for not letting me get zapper because he said it wasn't any good. I thank him for that now
well....Zapper is 15 old game and its actually pretty good games. No idea why its on shovelware showcase
It's quite a good game, but it's begging to be emulated simply because arrow keys are the best for grid games.
"Let's keep it concise"
*Goes for over two hours.*
Best.
I've always wanted to see Guy Fieri chug down 15 lbs of gravy.
I gotta wonder if there was a Baskin Robbin's game that ran at a solid 31 FPS.
and costs 70 bucks

@@xox945this fucking comment right here reminds me of the state of this industry that this would happen nowadays
Fun Fact: Infogrames (who published the Zapper game) used to own Sid Meier's Civilization and other big titles. They sold Civ to Take-Two Interactive and the rest of their products to other developers. They did that to save their asses from going bankrupt. They then bought Atari, but right after the purchase, the Infogrames founder left after 24 years. The company is now known as the Atari Group.
OK LET ME TELL YOU A THING ABOUT ZAPPER.
Back when I was in elementary school taking part in summer camp (camp... camp... camp...) we had Zapper installed on one of the old PCs they had at the YMCA. I enjoyed that game, a lot of us did. AND FOR THE PAST DECADE OR SO I HAVE TRIED TO FIND THE NAME OF THIS GAME BECAUSE I COULDNT FOR THE LIFE OF ME REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS CALLED. So thank you Vinny. Thank you for playing this forgotten game so I can finally sleep soundly knowing what this fucking game's name was.
You said there wasn't a dominoes game on the NES but there was "Yo noid"
also McKids is a game about McDonalds
also on SNES there were games like Cool Spot and Cheetos. So Vinyard was wrong, the licensed crap has invaded us since the start.
Hol up there was an SNES Cheetos game? What?
Proffessional Rambler
Too Cool to Fool, it was called.
Guess he wasn't cool enough.
@@powdgaze And Wild Wild Quest
AGDQ Anyone? The underwear that never really caught on.
my grandma bought me movie games when I was young I thought that's all game devs can do with consoles like Wii... I was wrong, when I got smash bros I thought that the game dev spent ages on the game then I learned about way better games that weren't shit xD
Literally any Nintendo game is better than all of the games in shovelware showcase.
Sounds sad... one of my (many) aunts sometimes brought me shitty games and most of the others shitty stuff like nail polish, shampoos and shit despite my parents telling them that I prefered games and comics. Happily after some convincing did they start giving me money instead ^^.
Somebody send him Bakugan Battle Brawlers.
That game was hella decent though.
I have 3 copies of that game... 2 on the DS and one on the Wii
it had 4 seasons mostly in Japan and continued until 2012/2013.
Bakugan was cool...dub wasn't all that great TBH
The console version was meh. DS version was good.
Send him the Wii version is what I'm trying to say.
And here I was thinking that this would be a boring day
That wasn't part of the flight plan.
I'm tired of these motherfucking memes on this motherfucking plane.
For you...
*Cold Stone Creamery*
Where the cream comes from the stones.
"You didn't see games like [Coldstone Creamery] on the NES or SNES."
Yeah, I guess so. Anyway, has anyone ever played that McDonalds game on the NES? I saw a video from this funny guy called the Irate Interactive Entertainment Geek (AKA Jamie Rolife) where he played it.
Jokes aside, it's as weird a concept now as it ever was. Just failed attempts at marketing products to the "hip youths" that play video games. Reality is it'd only be bought by grandmothers as gifts to their grandkids whose hobbies they don't understand.
the first level of zapper is super nostalgic to me, but its too bad he never died to the sword statutes. Seeing his guts was always cool.
minor epilepsy warning for the monster truck game at 56:42
I have a cabnet full of gamecube games with scratches beyond repair, my siblings would treat the discs terribly, one of their favorite games to play was 'mini frisbee'. Ever since then ive punched every child ive ever seen square in the jugular.
Lysergic SubjugantDominion one time I bought my little brother Fallout New Vegas for his Xbox. The day after I found the cd randomly on the floor and it was covered in scratches.
Last time I ever bought him anything
"There was no Dominos game on the NES" YEAH THE NOID MIGHT HAVE A THING OR TWO TO SAY ABOUT THAT
plus there was Cool Spot, for 7Up.
David Burch the Othello clone?
Aww, damn it, Radical, you made so many good games, like... uh... The Simpsons Hit and Run... and that's about it.
They also developed Mario is Missing, absurdly enough.
It gave us Weegee.
And the remaining crash games.
Prototype was pretty cool but the sequel was kinda a let down.
I thought Prototype was published by Bethesda?
then again i never played it lol
Playing Prototype at the moment and I kind of think it sucks. Love the air glide and movement (feels kind of batman-y) but the story is just really, really bad so far. I like the memory concept and the consuming. Also love the disguise function and the option to flee or fight almost anywhere. The main dialog and main characters just ruin the immersion. The city also feels really empty and meaningless and because you can run on walls from the start you don't really get motivated to explore ground level. Basically, dig the gameplay, hate the story and environment. (But that's just my humble opinion)
phew, glad that's off my chest
+Wolfdiggly Omen in terms of story, oh yeah. the gameplay got improved, and that's the only thing thatmatter for prototype, because that story sure isn't getting praise.
Vinny: Zapper plays so similar to Frogger.
Well Zapper is made by the same developers who made Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge so...
Coincidence? I THINK NOT!!!!
Why do people send in stuff like Zapper for Shovelware Showcase? I mean, even if you don't like the game, it's obviously not shovelware. It's competently made, everything works, the graphics are good, there's effort to give the game its own style and identity, it's really not a cheap cash-grab shat out in a couple weeks to rip off grandmas. Hell, I've never even played that game and even I can tell you it's not even close to being shovelware.
I have played the game; it looks like Frogger because Blitz, who designed Glover and Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge originally designed it as a Frogger game, but Konami turned it down and made Frogger: The Great Quest.
@@diobrando2845 And we all know which game was better thanks to Nitro Rad.
Like, I can see why it didn't get any sequels or anything, but compare it to the sell-out tie-ins and Data Design diarrhea we usually get on this show and you can see someone at least made a sincere attempt with Zapper, and I'm pretty sure that's the line between a shovelware title and a game that just didn't make it.
Alright, it's five years later, but I finally got around to watching this VOD again. A year or two back, I got my hands on a Cold Stone Creamery: Scoop it Up "disc" "and an American Wii" *_COUGH_* and I can honestly say I love the game.
It's a bit of a struggle to bind the right motions to a keyboard, but I managed to get to a point where the only boring part of it was how easy it got once I bought all the upgrades. I figured out the refilling minigames pretty quickly once I found which motion simulation matched the motion it asked for, and I often ended up making more money than I would ever need - though it did get to a point where I was struggling to meet the level goal, though I never failed.
I thought that for Scream Arena they couldn't get Billy Crystal to voice Wazowski, but it apparently IS him.
The fact Vinny hasn't seen movies like The Incredibles or Monster Inc proves he's a fuccboi
I remember seeing Frank Zapper everywhere as a kid. I never knew what the hell it was but I always just kind of assumed it was another Ty/Tak style early 2000s collectathon.
Hey It’s Claw Daddy. Didn’t expect you here
Vinny the reason why the ice cream guy was blinking so many times is because he's communicating via Morse code. He's blinking out "I'm being tortured please help me. The game has trapped me here."
My god. The "good job" voice in the coldstone game sounds exactly like my senior year math teacher.
Nostalgia goggles game too strong this stream.
I can't... I can't tell if he's baiting me. That's how bad this game is and how much faith i have in the stupidity of mankind.
@@AtomiskZabaleta Put _Zapper_ next to something from Data Design Interactive.
The former would be at the bottom of the barrel by a normal player's standard.
The latter would be at the bottom of the abandoned oil derrick drilling beside said barrel.
I think that bee picture is just there by default. I don't think Miyamoto released the Wii with that picture to annoy Vinny with a meme that didn't exist yet, but I could be wrong.
I was just listening to "Heroes" and the video opened with it. What a cosmic coincidence.
1:23:30 that sounds A LOT like the jump sound from Paper Mario.
Data Design; the "LJN" of the Nintendo Wii.
The music in scream arena is fantastic
so classy
yo zapper is actually good
lol I love your videos
I found monster trux arena in my garage last week and I'm very proud
That cold stone game looks like something you'd see on one of those shitty plug and plays.
“Monsters inc. Scream-“
HOLY SHIT, IT’S
“-Arena”
... oh...
Thanks for that CZcams-exclusive few minutes where you went AFK game, such good game, wow. :o
1:27:50 here, have the most godly noises known on this plane of reality
5 years out and that wasnt claimed im surprised
I still like Zapper, I'm glad Vinny went easy on it.
Vinny's laugh gives me life.
Every time I hear Heroes I just hear a slowed down version of I'm Waiting For The Man.
there was yo noid but atleast that wasn't about making pizza
So Zapper was a real game after all, huh?
Knew I couldn't have imagined that.
ARRIVE WITHOUT TRAVELING
Have you ever played, or even heard of, Geist, Vinny? For the Gamecube? Such a phenomenal, underrated game.
The problem with his Wii is the exact thing that happened to mine. When I was dealing with it, I read from their support that apparently a lot of of the first runs of Wii are very susceptible to this exact problem after enough years.
The only solution is to go out and get a newer model, really.
It really bothers me how Mike's victory quotes are taken out of context.
Little bit o' bowie right at the start is always appreciated.
Interesting how the Wii Photo Channel has a picture of a bee at 1:30
HOLD THE PHONE! is that the WCW Nitro logo on the side of FLAME?! how does that slip by unnoticed?
There were two Frogger Games done in the style of Zapper, Frogger Ancient Shadow and Frogger's Adventures: The Rescue. Only one I played was the latter but based off some gameplay I found they seem to have the same sort of gameplay.
If you're REALLY interested in seeing a proper revival for him then give those a try. Otherwise it's just an okay puzzle/action game
zapper's art style kind of reminds me of scaler for the ps2. i wonder if anyone will send that to vinny now...i mean i guess this comment isn't that relevant idk i decided to put it here because. things that are like zapper. semi relevant maybe??
Why does it skip from Zapper to Avermedia out of nowhere?
Stream death.
Zapper is my childhood !
I still have it right near me in it's CD case.
Pretty simple and straightforward game, but still super comfy and fun.
vinny gets confused about how disks get scratched so much - @throws cake game against wall
Wait? The ultimate NES guidebook? Did someone give him Pat's NES book? Awesome, indirect youtuber crossover :D
+Hamsterman I believe he's referring to Pat the NES Punk, who is a good friend of AVGN. I used to watch him, but he's just all podcasts these days, kinda boring.
+DarknessViper99 He has an episode once in a while, but it's very hard to tell, among the infinite podcasts.
Many hours of my childhood was spent playing Zapper. I didn't mind it back then but no way I could tolerate it now. Always really liked the music from the wood mill level.
For the Monsters Inc. game, it would've made more sense for that sort of game to be made later on when Monsters University was out in theaters
Woo David Bowie yay
YOU HAVE EXCELLENT TASTE
I can't believe the cold stone game only consists of that. I am pretty sure it took them about a week to make that.
"YEA GUD GAME"
There's a speed run on Athena.
1:28:02 Vinny breaks out his duck form but game fails him anyway.
The first game made me remember that Disneyland is closing down the Tower of Terror.
Oh man that Monsters Inc. game looked lame. Monsters Inc. Scream Team is where it's at. Legitimately good game.
Oh yeah, I remember playing the hell out of it
was that on the ps2? because i remember renting a ps2 monsters inc game when i was a kid
I have it on PS1 and I don't think it was released on PS2 as well. May have to check.
it was. PS1 and PS2.

Wicked
Memesters, Inc.: Meme Arena
How awful do you think it would be to have piss and shit that smelled like nothing but gravy for the next two to three months?
oh hello satan, i didnt know that you take the time to post youtube comments nowadays
That wouldn't be awful at all. I like gravy :0
id piss and eat my piss again and again
tripdefect87 it would make it even tastier
1:02 wtf just when i was getting into the song lol
my Wii is almost 10 years old, it no longer reads Wii games but GC games work just fine for some reason and now thanks to magic it can read anything short of a ps2 game
zapper was the shit dood, i love that game
I'm not sure if vinny reads these comments but if he has shovelware wii games, he could just use the wii-u due to backwards compatibilit.
Yeah, but it can't play gamecube games.
Needed: a monsters movie where it turns out laughter didn't produce more energy - there was an energy flux from something else that caused a power spike coincidental with making kids laugh, and they have to go back to making kids scream.
Oh SHIT yes! Shovelware
at first i didnt even notice this was a new stream but YAY i missed this series
51:23 The underwear that never really caught on.
Zapper is an amazing game!
I loved Zapper as a kid!
So much nostalgia! 😄
I loved Scream Arena as a kid.
I played Scream Arena when I was like 16 for the first time. My best friend had it, and I always wanted to try it. I loved every second I played of it, and he even let me keep it.
This monster force fed his wii garbage, and when it finally tried to fight back, he beat it into submission. That wii decided that suicide was the only way out. And now he begins the cycle anew with this wii.
1:50:49 Since I'm just here binge watching this and It's Febuary 6th, might as well say "Happy Birthday, Mewtwo" SourPls
SCOOP THE 'BURBS.
Being a wrestling fan, it's very hard for me to say Cold Stone Creamery without first saying Stone Cold Creamery.
So, what exactly was going on immediately before this stream, that Vinny was talking about at the start?
The monster trucks feel like their RC trucks size wise.
I was the one who sent Summer Sports Paradise Island
No Dominos Game? What about Yo,Noid?
Alternatively, was he just being sarcastic and there's a pizza hut game that I'm unaware of?
Uhh..there's a pizza hut demo disk. Maybe he was referring to that.
I'm glad to hear Vinny say good things about Zapper. It's by no means a great game, but I played it a lot during my childhood and loved it, plus it has some really cool music and settings. After recently getting another copy and replaying it, I was surprised when I found myself still enjoying it. I thought I would hate it in my adulthood, honestly. It's a real shame that it's so short, though. I definitely wouldn't recommend paying 60 or 50 dollars for it. It's not near long enough to justify that price, although the copy I managed to get only cost me about 15 bucks.
Do you ever think the musicians for data design were tortured and left to rot in the concentration camps after their time was up?
You reskin Ninjabread Man until your fingers fall off and then get thrown in the bin with the others.
Oh my god, Scream Arena brings me waaaaaay back.
Oh yeah. I remember getting it at Blockbuster
Vinny Is The Booger Lover LOL
Zapper was pretty good, some of his death animations used to freak me out though
Ol Bones This was a bit gory honestly. The sword statues opened zapper in half. Guts were visible.
