@Gavin Collazo-williams you did not get the joke idiot
My fav part was the doors closing with different beeps
Can’t believe someone actually went and recorded all these 😂, well done. Glenfield represent 👍
It was a great day out. Thanks for your comment mate!
@ZJonski d-r
I think the same.
In this type of vid I see 1 comment saying. Are you enjoy watching the train door closing a lots of min (depending in vids)
Me:Yes
If anyone is wondering what the first one was it was a Cityrail Tangara
Edit: Thx for 15 likes and the Quiz was also a s set
Correct, that was actually the quiz question!
But the actual train wasn’t a cityrail tangara 😂
Brisbane trains also use the same doors closing announcement line but voiced by Ross Newth who is a voice over artist and also does narration for 9 News' promos.
I remember the guards used to announce it but do it in different accents on purpose 🤣🤣
Thanks for sharing!
I think they blew a whistle and yelled ‘stand clear!’?
Yeah, quite often it would come out as, "Stanklia doorsaclosa."
I Think it was before 2008 or something right?
Reminds me of the time I spent in the beautiful city of Sydney. 😊
Thanks for sharing
Never thought anyone could collect all these! Impressive..
Just to mention, the first one 00:00 is originally from the Tangara trains
Good job, that was actually the quiz question :)
It was also on S, K, C and V Set trains
@@eiypo It's was the Tangara announcement, BUT it visual was actually an M Set, you can tell by the seats on the bottom deck
@@eiypo you guys are so clever

train fan moment
even if I came back from Australia but still this makes me miss the life of Sydney
Thanks for that comment
I think that if the BART trains here in San Francisco had this friendly of a voice announcing the closing of the doors - people would really mellow out while on board.
🐹why am I watching this? And why was it in my recommendations?
Waratah A set: 0:16
Waratah B set: 0:06
Tulloch C, K set: 1:07
Oscar H set: 0:26
Millennium M set: 0:36
Tangara T set: 0:49
Intercity V set: 1:00
Lol u left out the S set which is what the one in the video was
tulloch? they are goninan
thanks 😊
Thanks for the compilation.
You are welcome!
At the risk of sounding old, I remember the days when the doors don't close properly for the post-rat rattlers and pre-Tangara sets, and people would wedge the door open to let the breeze in to the carriage. Was still a relatively common occurrence 30 years ago.
my favourite sound is the tangara cuz it sounded the the same as the Melbourne double deck tangara when it ran back in the 90's...... sure miss it
Thanks for sharing!
I used to love riding this train
Wait a minute did you mean the 4D?
@@AdamsCarWashVids yes I used to love riding this train
When It says "Doors Closing, Please stand clear." Do it! I got news that a young lady a bit ago got her hand caught in A T set and nearly got pulled away (It was underground) Luckily the guard saw her. Her arm was too small and sensors did not pick up her arm.
"Doors closing, please stand clear." 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥
Thanks everyone for the 10K views! What do you want to see next about Sydney Trains?
Hey! Remember me? And nice job for surpassing 10K views!
Thanks mate. I am very bad with names, sorry :)
Yes please
I hope your channel gets more views
One little thing, good video but could you do a amended video on the hunter rail car if possible
I like the Tangara sound
It is indeed very unique!
I loved the sound of it through those tinny speakers. It’s the sound of my chkdhoodv
I love the Tangara sound
Thanks for the like, Ralifan!
I really think it’s the Australian accent that makes it so unique
This is what an expat looks at from overseas whilst feeling nostalgic
And I honestly love the sound from the first clip from the beginning
Awesome, isn't it? Do you know who's voice that is?
No I don't but it's quite charming
Grant Goldman
I'm not gonna lie I been on one those trains that had his voice in the past before
That’s actually Rob Brough doing the first announcement.
Great video. Historical record. Well done.
the first voice is the most authoritative.
Thank you!
Hey mate, appreciate this comp! Would you be able to make a compilation of all doors opening?
my favorite part was the waratah tangara and OSCar trains said ``Doors closing please stand clear``
Thanks for sharing!
Tangara and silver sets will always be my fav traind
The V set and the K set doors was smooth
Awesome vid 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I still think the Grant Goldman one remains as the best one.
That’s actually Rob Brough doing the original “Doors Closing” announcement from the 90’s.
@@K.J.S.est1994 Is that one the one from the very first announcement on the video?
It is also the voice in the announcement at the end of the video at 1:18 that says "Smoking is not allowed at this station...". This was also the old CityRail announcement voice.
@@AdamsCarWashVids yep that’s the first announcement.
Amen to that...the stuff of childhood and authority
Being from Melbourne, I found the designs of the trains so cool. I wish they could bring double decker trains back (there was only ever 1 which ran in the 90s)
Thanks for sharing!
I used to love riding this train
Doors closing, please stand here.
@PSY cho yea autocorrect is being stupid lol
I like it in the old train so old
It’s weird to see how far we’ve come..
My friend u just won a new sub
Needs these announcements on trains in the UK to stop people from jumping onto trains when the doors are closing.
Thanks mate!
@@railfanworld No problem :)
Nah mate, they're too busy minding the gap.

Thanks for sharing!
they are cool but they have so many problems…
Didn’t read the title properly and was confused when he didnt sound british 😂😂😂😂😂 my favourite part is when he said “doors closing please stand clear”
Thanks for your comment, mate!
RIP Grant Goldman (1950-2020) :(
LiamF27 Except that first voice isn't him. It's Rob Brough.
@@nicholetheotter1957 how do u know
The millennium M set has the old waratah DWD
My favorite part was the scene of the train door closing
That's my favourite part too!
Can you please do a Brisbane version of this?
Obviously you have not traveled on Sydney trains much.
At the beginning of the guard's shift it is "Please stand clear I am closing the doors."
At the end of the shift it is "Get out of the road you bastards I'm closing the bloody doors."
I feel like the voice for the doors closing announcement for Waratah trains is Mark Ferguson
Where do you mostly find millenniums (what line eg. T8)
Nice
Thanks mate!
doors closing PLEASE stand NEAR
Good one!
0:18 that guy teleported 0.0
It seems that was a glitch in the Matrix
Door closing please stand clear has super funny voices lol
I have heard these Grant Goldman announcements at international airport in Dubai. and also, strangely enough, on a metro station in Paris. Both in June / July 1913

1913.... that seems a bit early, no?! haha :)
Entertaining
Thanks mate!
Does the m sets announcements really sound that muffled or is it just the audio quality
In WA, Perth trains say Doors closing, without the Please stand clear
Interesting. Thanks, mate!
I have been to perth
Doors Closing please stand clear
Oooh
The best
1:01 Why close very weird
They don't open automatically, you have to slide them open yourself. That's why if they close automatically, you have this "weird" closing!
yes, they're also like the same age as S Sets but I think older.
railfan_be hah I’ve never been in a purple train yet
FilmThemesAndScenes I’ve seen them a few times at central and the seats look so soft and comfy.
When you find out D sets are replacing V sets
Locations of the Trains Doors closing annoucement B set:Glenfield A set:Strathfield H set:Central T set:???? V set:Central K,C and S set:Redfern and M set:???
The given locations are correct, good job. I will give you some extra time to find the locations of the T and M set. I am sure you will find them eventually...
This should be a compilation
Isn't that already the case? What do you mean exactly?
Don't the T sets close similar to the Dutch DDZ and DD-AR?
R.I.P K set
I hered all the Sydney trains guys
😊
I miss go to sydney
Whats the difference with the A and B set?
Does anyone know who does the voice on theses trains?
Fun fact: The very first train (he don’t say wich) has the original doors closing please stand clear
Great video. Just one question though. Why do the Tangara sets and the older sets make so much noise when the doors shut? What makes that hissing sound?
Good question! I have also noticed that...
The 4th gen trains (A/B/M/H/J sets) use electric motors, while all the older generations used air operated doors. The sound you hear is simply the air pushing the door shut. I don't think any K sets have it any more, but some K set doors used to be particularly loud, because it was set up for the air compressor to clean itself whenever the doors were operated.
@@sunnyyan1080 oh ok, thank you so much!
I miss K, S an C set trains... I still remember theirs smell, theirs seats and design. Literally travel to the deep cold war era.
What will happen if someone enters while gate is closing?
Hey mate it’s funny how different the sound is but same words
True that!
I prefer the old Grant Goldman voice (heard in the beginning). I found it on S123, V48, and V16.
As I said in an earlier comment two years ago, the voice provided in the beginning was actually current Seven Local News(Regional Queensland) newsreader Rob Brough. Brough also hosted “Family Feud” from 1990 to 1995.
Only one problem I found is that the Waratah series 2 (b) sets have the same as the Waratah series 1 (a) sets.
Aussie person To be fair, they are basically a continuation of the A Sets. B Sets still have some differences of their own, such as an extra screen in the vestibule area, a digital display on the information screens instead of the LED display that A Sets have, and a different livery on the outside. B Sets have orange on the front with the Sydney Trains logo, and black vinyl on the side of the carriages. Set number B2 also has the Waratah flower livery on the two driving trailer cars (D1102, D1202).
0:03 Waratah Series 2 (B Set)
0:13 Waratah (A Set)
0:23 Oscar (H Set)
0:35 Millennium (M Set)
0:46 Tangara (T/G Sets)
0:57 Camshaft/Chopper (V Set)
1:05 Chopper (C Set) Goninan (K Set) Comeng/Goninan (S Set)
the train is departing please stand clear
Was it Mark Ferguson who voiced “doors closing please stand clear”?
I get an eargasm everytime it says "doors closing, please stand clear".
I came.. again..
Excuse me, where the J set and Endevor?
You forgot the j set train but I guess the h set is pretty much the same
Everybody gangster until the doors are closing, please stand clear
Can you find the announcement which advises passengers how “to avoid congestion in the vestibule area”? I have always wondered what non-English speakers make of that. Vestibule, ffs.
STAND CLEAR OF THE closing doors please
I still prefer the older announcements since I used to catch the S,K,C and T sets since my childhood from the 2000’s
The last time I was in tangara it was like 7:30 off break
I’m a bit confused with the very first train 0:00 what train is that?? Tangara s don’t have that window or seating
the Tangara train in the video is an upgraded version of the old Tangara trains, in 2010 Sydney Trains started refurbishing all the old Tangara trains with new upgrades, new seats, new windows, new doors and better technology upgrades etc, they made alot of improves to the Tangara trains. Now all the Tangara trains that are still being used in Sydney have the upgrades.
Maybe I missed it, but what train was the very first message you have taken from (0:00)?
That's the question of the quiz! See below if you want to find out....
Its from a Tangara.
W. Cooksy That version of the voice pops up on a few Tangara sets, but has also seen occasional use on S, K, C and V sets.
In india there is an announcement in the local train ( don't peek out side of the running train)
Interesting. Thanks for sharing!
@@railfanworld hahaha thanks for the reply brother 🤗🤗
I Respect Your opinion
Oh I miss Australia
I wonder who's the voice behind all of this lol
Your trains are so much better then ours in Poland
