Vlog 1765 Glenfield During A Severe Storm A Wild Tangara Appears #railway #railroad #trains Check out my other channel: @AbandonedOZ Filmed on: 31/10/2020
Wow, trains can still accelerate at full speed in this kind of rain, awesome. (brakes not so much lol) Some cool shots in this video with the ultra-wide camera and track switching.
How Australia runs their trains during heavy rain and thunderstorms. Than the UK that have their trains cancelled or delayed. I’m surprised that there isn’t no signalling problems. Some dramatic weather in Australia.
We do have some dramatic storms and signal problems do happen. I have been on the top deck during a severe hail storm and the sound was quite loud and dramatic. Services can be cancelled when equipment such as transformers are struck by lightning and the power fails. I have been on a train when the power failed during a hot summers day and I can tell you it was very unpleasant.
This year they carried out technology testing on the t sets & you would noticed that the tangara desto would ve worked fine for the first time.but because they haven't worked for a long time.now they just doing more technology testing on their t sets a lot more.and you ll see them working properly in the future.they become like the waratah & millenium kind tangara.
@@SydneyMetroVlogs I think maybe it was still work in progress for the timebeing & testing on the t sets with the destos & everything is slow work. & probably their trying to testing everything out & may take more longer with this to work.
Oh my God don’t tell me you were at the other end of the platform I was on at the same time T122 arrived! I actually took a photo of this same train and posted it to the NSW Railways past and present fb page just as I got on it to head to Wolli Creek! Apparently this run will have T on it most weekends until further notice.
When was the last time a tangara was running on the t8 line? Also why are they only running tangaras on only some lines and yet their not that old I don't understand could someone tell me?
Ive caught a tangara from edmondson park to glenfiel while going to work, when i first saw it, i had so many memories come back from when i lived in the shire and was acustomed to t4
Today T13+T103 were on it, and last weekend operated by T90+T93, I think it might become a permanent edition to the weekend roster, or maybe because A59 has been out of service for a while, or they could be testing out T Sets for future sector 2 operation?
The long term plan for the Tangaras is for all of them to be moved to the T4. Sector 3 will become entirely Waratahs, with Sector 2 being run by M, H and Waratahs.
You know I recon it's time for Tangaras to start operating on Sector 2 full time again. Especially once the Oscars start doing suburban services following the NIF's takeover of Intercity services. I feel like the Oscars would replace at least half of the Tangara fleet on T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra line. Tangaras on Sector 2 are my childhood memories just like old silver sets on Sector 3.
Sector one will always be serviced by one type of rolling stock as its more efficient, so unless they can replace the entire Tangara fleet on the T4, it'll stay Tangara only

7:08 I hopped of the far train and got on B13, didn’t see Phil though... Nice vid as well

9:23 series 1: lets go train bro! series two: hey wait for me!!!
I was on P23 at Central on Saturday, next minute I see a Tangara. I said to myself, a Tangara on T8?!?!? Lol
lol nice 'wild' Tangara STV
They haven't been on the south west lines for ages
Took a wrong turn at wolli creek
they are the best for tagging ‼️
@@3smokzotb745 yeah I use to play tag with them when I was younger there really fast and have long arms
@@rhys3089 yes indeed lol
@@rhys3089 What?? Tag with trains??
Very nice video! Liked)))
The wild Tangara is usual on the T2 and T8 lines on any day of the week
“A wild Tangara appears” that sounds like a ‘Pokémon’ reference except it’s either a parody or play on words.
fun that transit can explore too.
WOW ONE HUGE STORM
Tangara? I still miss the old ‘Red Rattlers’. (And sitting on the floor with the doors open. Ah, the ‘good old days’.)

Nice one Phil!
You are the best person Phil
I liked this video
_Wild Tangara used Desto!_
_It wasn't very effective..._

@@nicholetheotter1957 I agree.
I love yellow and blue Australian trains love from Indonesia ❤️
nice
It's not a wild tangara, it's a new roster that is taking place every weekend
enjoyed this one mate, im surprised that they still even allow trains to run with storms and hail like that.

The train on the first one be like *im out and to be foggent
8:01 wait… didn’t that get damaged at Richmond? Also Phil I saw it yesterday!
Here is a question, how stormproof are trains? Are they built to withstand a certain amount of bad weather or do they suffer damage from hail?
Are you at Wolli creek earlier today?
I love how you called it a “Wild tangara” Phil 😂

It's been a thing for a few weeks now, an unusual Tangara roster on the Sector 2 lines on weekends.

Yes but the tangara is t set but a g set
It would be good if you went back to Brisbane🙏🙏🙏🙏
I want to come back asap :)
Yo dont judge but if i went just for a joyride like from Macarthur to central I'd do it in a tangara on the top deck anyday
Same
So they let a tangara run but no m sets. Huh
On weekends M sets are mainly confined to the Cumberland Line.
@@nicholetheotter1957 not good enough still 33 unused m sets sitting in the yard

They exist. They’ll be delivered to Australia down the track.
They are prototype sets sitting in Sth Korea
