I love this car. I wish I could have got mine in that color. As for the back hatch if you are lowering it with the remote you will have to hold the button down when closing it. It’s a safety precaution to make sure it’s safe to close all the way. If you press the button on the on the lift gate when done it will then close all the way. But using the remote it needs to be held down to assure clearance.

Undoubtedly beautiful, I was interested in leasing one, but my experience with kia dealers made me give up since they put many stupid charges on it, and in the end the value is 8-9k above the msrp value (from $33k it went up to 41k) , the monthly payments for 36 months with a down of $4000 were more than $600 per month. For that value I think it is cheaper to rent a luxury brand. It is a pity that Kia dealers try to take advantage of this unfair way.
this was my experience as well. It was supposedly a $35k car but the payments were equal to a $50k car. We then ask about the Telluride. They never gave me numbers but paid them a visit and saw a $42k base model Telluride S was marked up to $58k on the window sticker. They were next level scum compared to other dealers. Of course I thought their $35k car was out of my price range. Would have been good to know it was really $45k. Swore off Kia for life
Wow…that’s terrible! What a bummer. I also had a bad experience with KIA sales when I got my 2021 Seltos. Their sales department gets more negative comments than any other manufacturer it seems. I think part of it is that they know they have the hottest cars on the market and are hard to come by. If you don’t buy it, someone else will in 5 minutes.
I’m currently testing the waters to possibly turn in my lease early and get a Tucson. I love the Sportage but they already said I would have to order it, and I am sure they would be asking a fortune.
Love this video. I’ve looked at so many videos of the sportage but this stood out to me so much. I already liked your vibe and info from the beginning but I didn’t really know why. Kia has very good cars great design and a lot of options One of my favorites is the Telluride. Great Video. It's my first time on this channel but in the end you talked about a passage from the bible I hadn't seen that on any vehicle channel
My faith is the biggest part of my life, and to not share about Christ would be doing Him a disservice!

You should place the camera on the roof behind you so it shows you and the road.
I really have to recommend ponying up the extra couple thou or so for the hybrid version. Just a much better drivetrain, although long term reliability remains to be seen.

@@hectorsanchez5818 yeah in the US apparently the HEV EX model is available with the grey and blue interior, which I would have loved. Having said that, it's still pretty nice with the black interior (and grey roof liner - I really don't care for the interiors with the black roof liner).
Couple of questions after watching this again...are the 19-inch tires considered low profile? Not a fan of low-profile tires. And is the red interior an orangish red or red, red? I also read somewhere that the Wolf Gray matte finish color is hand wash only, That wouldn't work in very cold & snowy winters with road salt. I surely wouldn't be dragging a hose out for a car wash in winter...lol.
I couldn't say if they're low profile tires or not since this was such a long time ago. Though It's more of a red red interior. Also this grey is glossy, so it would be fine to wash normally, if it was a matte it would need to be hand washed.

@@denishlego6144 Ok. That's a hand wash only car w/proper care of exterior paint. That won't work where there are harsh winters w/salt. I'm not handwashing my cars in winter...lol.
@@barbs1298I know this is an old comment, but You're thinking of Shadow Matte Gray, which is the only paint job that is matte in the US. Wolf Gray is a gloss paint, standard care applies.
You can make the climate control as a default on the panel.
Sure can. Found that out on another video that went into extensive detail on using the entire screen & different phone set ups. It was excellent.
Better yet you can make the radio the default as well....

This is pure evidence that Kia has come a long way within the last few years. Back in the 90s and 2000s they were the laughing stock of vehicles. Now they're one of the most recommended cars out there. They have become a more premium brand like you said. The fact that at $35000 you get BMW or Mercedes-Benz level of luxury and tech for half the price is astounding. The appeal is evident judging by how many new Kias are on the road. Every day I see new Sportages, Sorentos, Tellurides, Souls, and K5s everywhere. And since Earth-tone colors are very popular right now, I particularly see them in this very color, Wolf Grey, except on the Soul since it's not available in this color. It makes the car look even more premium and sporty. A good friend of mine who's a salesman at a Kia dealer temporarily had a new black Sportage in the SX trim and was a wonderful car to drive and be chauffeured in. It was very comfortable, roomy, practical, good-looking, and a good value.

We love our Sportage, but please don't mislead people into thinking they can get a SX Prestige for $36k in the current market.
I only go off of what the MSRP is. And Kia claims you can order it from the factory for that price.

You can, cause I have one arriving mid-April for 1k under MSRP. Just gotta find the right dealer in the right area. Granted, new car market has cooled off slightly since your original post.
