You are such an inspiration! I have always struggled with wanting to be a doctor, I adore the thought of it but the schooling stops me especially since I’m almost 30 now. It is really nice to see someone that has had roadblocks and isn’t the “perfect influencer” doctor. Thank you!

Anyone who has been on meds for bipolar, what was it like? Did it help? And did you experience any side effects? My psychiatrist thinks that is the best route for me to take and I would love yo be as educated as possible. Thanks❤️

Hello, I'm wrapping up my bachelors in Psychology and am at odds on how I want to go forward between mental health counselor, Pysch Pa, and Psychiatrist. Do you spend a decent amount of time doing psychotherapy or is it mostly treating the mental illnesses with medications? What would you say are the big differences in scope the a Psych PA can't do compared to a psychiatrist. I understand that they're working under an attending's license. I know I want to help people in this field but am not sure what would be the best path for me, would you be able to shine some light on the question?

one thing I really want to ask, because it is my dream---do you feel someone considered to have treatment resistant schizophrenia can become a psychiatrist? my country is Canada so it may differ logistically. i disagree with my diagnosis but i have had a really rough 10 years, and now I am 29 years old, so it feels almost too late. I say this while being stuck in a psychiatric hospital because i cant follow my CTO because it doesnt apply to me, the way i see it. that info aside, do you feel it is possible? it is my dream to be a psychiatrist, even if my reasons for doing so are considered delusional etc. your story just inspires me even more when it felt impossible, but still sort of feels that way.
