The weekend revolves around a discussion of strategy. Nearly 25 years ago, Professor Hans-Hermann Hoppe delivered his famous "What Must Be Done" speech on the pressing topic of how-and whether-to engage the state. Today his prescription for a bottom-up ideological revolution beginning at the local level rings more true than ever. With Hoppe's admonitions in mind, all of our speakers and panels will consider three vital questions: Where are we? How Bad is it? And what should we do now?

And like a teenager, you say "no" and they just stall out and become even more useless, often times.
We need to fight woke, not just complaining about it

I’m convinced that it should be taught In primary and secondary schools. Make it mandatory.
Perhaps a few, with the voice, can do better than the masses, who only yell.
It is not the "villain", it is the "victim", who is to blame. It is "we" ourselves, who give our power away, "just say no".
I only clicked here to get some practical tools for fighting this woke problem, i already know there is a problem.

Your video is titled: A Strategy Against Woke . I did NOT see or hear any strategy AT ALL.
Thomas exposed the lies of the historians/people with specialties and gave many examples. But there was no solution proposed at all.
So, it was a waste of time to watch this video. Unless you are planning to make a follow-up video (in continuation for this one) for his strategy.
It’s soothing and refreshing to call things for all they are.
Theory and History is, in my opinion, Mises' greatest work. Everyone should read it 👍

Thank you for sharing. I look forward to reading it. Have had difficulty reading Mises in comparison to Hayek. Mises is a bit more dry in my opinion, but still very informative with so much knowledge to process. Thanks again for the suggestion.

@@patrickfrise1204really? Hayek prose is so long winded. You can tell Mises was highly educated and trained 19th century scholar at the height of European society. I find Mises’s works methodical. His arguments as air tight as it gets. His prose like God himself is speaking lol.

Deja Vu! I came across a thin book in a friend's library (newly printed, so he hadn't had it long). Reading it, was astonishing because it described what has now come to pass-----The Author's Name was Hayek. Thank you, Prof. DiLorenzo, for bringing those words from the past into the minds of today.
Read Human Action and Socialism by Mises, and this quote stood out to me because I realized it's very common; "Marx and Ingles never tried to refute their opponents with argument. They insulted, ridiculed, devoted, slandered, and traduced them, and in their use of these methods, their followers are no less expert". Mises in Socialism

While hating and refusing marxism, I appreciated Engels's book on the condition of the working class in England (1845), that was spot-on and mostly based on direct observations.

In overall it basically confirms what I've been thinking about the US Civil War since always - putting aside which side was more morally right and who owned more slaves, it was a war for/against a federal power grab, not for/against slavery.

Misleading title. It's just another venue for DiLorenzo to attack Lincoln. He sure seems infatuated with the Old South.
Lincoln was absolutely corrupt. He is the prototype for today's scum bag politician. The man was very intelligent, shrewd, but unfortunately used those skills on behalf of evil and lies, rather than truth and decency. Like it or lump it, Lincoln is not who you believe him to be, nor his motivations. Try harder and look deeper.

I think the term "woke" is being overused and misused often to just dismiss ideologies that maybe should have further examination. There is a lack of real justice so people get social justice instead. BLM exists because police brutality exists and some are racist too so society should recognize policing problems. Metoo exists because there are many sexual predators and their victims are ignored so society should recognize that too. What else is "woke" the LGBTQ people well gay pride parades have gone on in America for fifty years so why now is it a problem for people to just not go? Free country free speech but not for "woke" causes? Sounds fascist.
If we are forced at gunpoint to fund public institutions and even turn our children over to them, we have a legitimate say in what they are paid to promote, particularly to minors. That is not an assault on free speech.
Fascism is a left wing, big government system in which a tyrannical state colludes with a selected number of big businesses and controlled institutions to rob and oppress all others, determining even what shall be accepted as fact. The modern Democrat party, which owns and is owned by tech, academia, and media, is fascist. Trying to jail and bankrupt political opponents using invented law, the malicious and capricious use of law, jailing of peaceful protestors, gross corruption, disarming citizens while increasing politicians' security, using language to warp rather than describe reality, and contemptuously dismissing the concerns of the people, is all classic totalitarian behavior.
Having official victim groups in order to look virtuous is another standard trait. If the country is being robbed and destroyed, who cares, as long as the homos/trans/illegals are happy. Breeders should just shut up and obey.
In nice lefty Canada the government is pushing a bill that would allow life imprisonment for speech, and arrests of people who might, based on others' assumptions, someday say something unapproved, like criticizing islamic terrorism or pedophilia. Pre-crime.
