  • If you have only ever driven a car you are going to notice a difference in the handling of a van over your car. Some things are not much different some things are a lot different. This video will touch on some of the differences and what to expect.
    With the different crazes of #van #vanlife #tinyhome #buslife #offgrid and so many other alternate housing ideas I thought I would do some videos dispelling some of the myths. So many people jump into these lifestyles only to get out months later and loosing thousands of dollars in the process as they don't get the right information. The problem is that many of those that are promoting these lifestyles only do so to make money. They push a product as the only way but it is only because they are the ones selling it. I will hopefully save you some pain and money in your journey!
    I have been involved in camping and the outdoors for all my life and have a lot of experience in surviving in the elements! Come with me as I apply my experience to this alternate housing craze!

    I THOUGHT there was a difference when driving a larger vehical. When I was flying model planes with my papa he said "the large planes aren't that much of a issue to fly" but I was too scared bc I thought it was like you need more caution with larger vehicles than smaller ones but it turns out I was right! Thanks a lot as iv always wanted to drive large vehicles I just didn't know if you needed more caution when compared to driving a smaller one!

    • @whiteturtleadventuresandphoto
      @whiteturtleadventuresandphoto  Před rokem +3

      Backing up is not that hard. Take your time and use your side mirrors.
      Adjust your mirrors so they are showing more of the ground and more of the area beside the van. Many people have mirrors pointed to the sky and showing more of the side of the van and this does not help.
      ALSO try in a empty parking lot a couple times before getting in a busy area. I also pick a target in front of the van to line the van up to.
      You will do GREAT!!!

    • @whiteturtleadventuresandphoto
      @whiteturtleadventuresandphoto  Před 2 lety +3

      A Sienna is not that large for you to switch to. Just remember that you will have a longer stopping distance, less power (more weight) then the Prius and some more wind push on the side. Take it slow for the first few months and you will get it.
