@gulrajbains966 damn, how much was the fine? Also epa is way more strict in Canada? Like California? I have deleted friends, I deleted my truck, never had a problem.

How many connectors total are there to unplug under the hood? I’m trying to find info to make sure I don’t miss something. Going to leave everything on

Maintenance on a 3500 is expensive. 2 batteries, 6 tires $320 each, somehow my tunes went bad so I had to order new tunes, now my trans is giving out, so I am gonna order a new billet valve body. Shits expensive. I do all I can myself. Shop wants an arm and a leg
I have a 2012 and thinking about about doing this. After you did this did it help your fuel mileage. I'm getting crappy mileage. Also what tuner did you use.
I am using an ezlynk, that just a tool, you have to actually get someone's tunes to use the tool. My mpg was like 3 to 5 mog better. I really depends on who tunes your truck some of my tunes are race tunes and they get worse mpg but the turbo spool faster and the truck driver like a muscle car. But the 68rfe doesn't like hard acceleration.
Also I'll add this advice for those watching . The stand pipe o-ring fitting in the head that you're supposed to swap for a barb . If you can't get a wrench on it or a 6 point socket use a 12 point the walls are thinner at it will slide right on im pretty sure it was 1"
Hey I got a delete in my truck with efi live selector switch tuner, I have a straight pipe but on the engine I still have those components, my truck drives way better than stock but my question is do I need to take those components off and will it drive better.??
No you don't have to take them off, and there isn't too much of a benefit to remove it if you already have the delete tunes. It's juts a preference and minimal performance
@tigervxii so if I'm not interested in drastic performance gains, but just getting my truck running due to failed DPF components, there's no issue with simply unplugging the EGR. Accurate?
the egr valve gasket is a graphite gasket . its not anti-seize lol . otherwise the video was entertaining . also the gaskets can be reused for the block off plates just a heads up to anybody watching
@Emilio-wg5vt I used a device called ezlynk. Ezlynk is just a device, it doesn't have tunes. You have to get a tuner to send you files or purchase an ezlynk device from a tuner.

@Emilio-wg5vt what'd the name of the tuning device there are many. Mm3, ezlynk, efilive, edge, etc. The ezlynk device is $500 and tune are usually $500. What I got is ezlynk $500, 5 tunes $700, and a shift on the fly switch for the 5 tunes so I can change tunes $125. All you gotta do is plug it in and upload the files. I can make a video later if you want
@Kaywonlee here in TX we still get tested for emissions cars older than 25 year are exempt. But as long as you know a guy you will get the pass. And for the most part cops don't care about emissions. Maybe the DOT guys on the interstates. But I never ran into one.

If you take that loose from the engine and the hose clamp it makes it really easy to take the throttle body loose.

It’s not anti seize on the gasket it’s a Graphite gasket. The droplets of water is most likely condensation in the EGR cross over tube

I got them with a retractable 1/2 wratchet

Whats the benefit of removing the EGR vs just unplugging the power to it when truck is tuned?
Very negligible alexhaust flow gains, and air intake.

@corey same things, except mine was $60 and most of them didn't specify for which year they are for.
No rtv needed on the exhaust block off plates. It had a gasket already there. Just put on the plates and snug it up. I’d say that will melt.

Yes, you will. Once you unplug the egr stuff, the engine will throw codes and go into limp mode.

I think states don’t required emission should make trucks deleted egr out of their factories
Some states are more strict than others.

How tf you get to the 15s?
60 to 70mph flat road 1000 to 1200 rpm. You will be getting 15mpg sometimes more. Also I have 37" tires 4.10 rear gear ratio
