- Hey ya'll! Follow along with me as I make a Kitsch style cake! This would be a cute birthday cake or wedding cake. I love this style of cake, it uses all the classic buttercream piping styles I learned when I started cake decorating. Who doesn't love an all buttercream cake! In this video I teach you how to pipe a ruffle garland, pearl swags, shell, ribbon border, braided border, and cupcake swirls.
Download my 2 page piping helper. Helps you practice piping garland and borders, just place a piece of parchment paper on top and keep practicing until you can do it without the guide.

It’s just so romantic and beautiful, and unique. A work of art! Would much rather have this cake for a wedding than fondant.
I just saw this video. It was breath taking. I think this cake in white would definitely be thing a thing of beauty.
Que excelente vídeo. No começo o bolo girando, escuro e encantador ao fundo, lembrou-me o filme da Coraline. Você é muito talentosa.
I just love how romantic it looks! I also loved that light coral colored buttercream you used. Absolutely beautiful 🌺
Gorgeous!!! I love it!!! That buttercream looks so velvety!😊

Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I am trying to teach myself vintage piping and this is so helpful. Will you do more of these cakes?
Fantastic 🎉🎉
That is one of THE most gorgeous cakes I’ve ever seen but I also adore how you presented it with the setting you made
Thank you!
God bless your hands ❤ love it…
Quedó hermoso.
Phenomenal job and great step by step instructions
Thanks!
Nice work
Omg this would be perfect for my wedding 🥺 not sure I’ll be able to make it though 😂😂😂
❤❤❤
Stunning. My courses were always with royal. I am so glad to see the techniques transfer to buttercream. Does it matter what kind of butter cream it is? The temp of butter cream is always a concern of mine when piping.
Awesome
Thank you
Which buttercream do you use? So pretty ✨❤️
I just found you beautiful cakes
Hey! I love the piping, it’s beautiful! What type of buttercream did you use for this cake? Italian meringue?
An easy Swiss meringue. Pipes beautifully.
I just tried to find your practice sheets and not available anymore. Would you have a pdf available?
HI! This is SO gorgeous! Do you still have those practice sheets? The link no longer works =[
The link for the turntable isn’t working for me. What brand turntable do you use? I have three and don’t love any of them
What's the best recipe for a chocolate sponge? Because that's what I'm struggling with right now. Seems to be harder to get a chocolate sponge perfect than any other sponge, in my experience anyway. Any tips would be appreciated.
I use a pretty basic chocolate recipe. My best tips are, use a a little espresso powder or instant coffee to deepen the flavor. I use a tablespoon. Use high quality cocoa powder.
Would you recommend using only buttercream for this style of cake? Not cream cheese frosting?
It depends on the type of cream cheese frosting. Most are a little too mushy but I've seen some pipeable recipes out there.
@10:16 which piping tip is that ?
