“I can’t breathe. My tummy hurts.” One of the greatest QI moments.
That final "They say of the Acropolis where the Parthenon is..." segment is my #1 All-Time favourite QI segment. It's just so ludicrous and good-natured and it truly broke Stephen like no other segment. I love it!
I love how wholesome it is!!! 💛
The child buffing workshop is the other hilarious one, although wholesome may not be the correct word to describe it.
My favorite part is that he couldn't give the line straight, seems appropriate lol

@@tyfaknee No... they convert nectar to Honey and eat the Honey, they can eat Nectar as well as anything else that contains sugars but they do so whilst on the move, but their main meal is Honey or a converted Jelly. They also store honey for when they get out of hibernation, the excess from this reserve is the Honey that bee keepers take.
One mistake in the Bee debate is a struggling bee may be dehydrated... so to cover both grounds in helping out a struggling Bee is to give it sugar water :)

The tortoise bit just took the lead over the Acropolis segment as my all time favorite. The sailors just deciding to eat the last one and go back for more...lmao

Its funnier when you know Stephen read the audio book for audible and was the narrator for the newest film!

Having no context for that guillotine made me very nervous even though I knew Daniel Radcliffe did not die on an episode of QI.
I still don't quite get how they did it. Within the same shot that his "head" comes off, at the very beginning of it it still looks very real, like his head's moving just a tad as it would naturally be.

And Sean Locke and Stephen Fry...I don't watch it without Stephen, the chemistry just isn't the same..too many unfunny women now ( and I'm a woman) .

Compression hose are actually up to the knee, prevent DVT.
It doesn't matter how many times I see the Parthenon episode it too makes it difficult to breath so spontaneously funny.
I think out of all the many wonderful years of Q.I. the giant tortoise one was by far the best and funny ever!
I have never laughed that much. It was just brilliant
And all of us law abiding citizens will never get to taste just how good Giant Tortoise is!

it's gut-wrenching isn't it, the only time this erudite, comical and usually thoroughly enjoyable programme has made me feel so ashamed; what a horrible bit of knowledge I gained this evening.
Other than being difficult to discern at certain parts, it's amazing.

Call me what you will, but I actually feel the Acropolis moment is a bit overrated. “Madeira pince-nez” is a lot funnier, in my opinion.
Watching asimo in a time where robots can run parkour and do front flips is kind of cute

Asimo's movement it sure is impressive even now, all of those parkour jumping robots do not talk nor are "humanoid" looking.

@@hammer_ttk I agree about those feature to be not hard to add,I also think that it's uniqueness is how cute he moves (kawaii japanese factor)about this Asimo that makes it some how less creepy than other robots when he moves and I kinda like that.

Feel like his comedy style has fallen out of favour with the UK. Don't see him anywhere anymore
Watching this three months after posting from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and I am struck by the level of international cooperation it took to create Asimo.
The Americans and British (primarily) developed the technology, the Japanese and Koreans collected and interwove it, the Chinese and several African countries provided the rare minerals required for the circuitry and power supply, and a Canadian taught Asimo how to dance.
Brilliant!

There are currently no known ambient temperature superconductors, they all require cryogenic temperatures to function, for now at least.
Two people you shouldn't try to interrupt, or join in with, when they're in full flow: David Mitchell and Dara O'Briain. Just sit back and enjoy until you're sure they're done.
Dunno about Dara, he mostly needs someone to play off, "joke-surfing" as Sarah Pascoe called it. Sean Lock or Johnny Vegas would much better fit the bill, for me. I love the devestating silences that follow most of Johnny Vegas's outbursts as hundreds of minds try and work out what just happened.
@@andrewcarson5850 I would advise that if you are looking to sara pascoe for comedy information, you shouldn't pass judgement on dara, particularly when most comedians hold him up as one of the modern greats
@@molsy1768 I doubt most comedians hold him very highly as a comedian. If you have data on that then I would love to see it. You would do well to check out the This Morning With Richard Not Judy section where Stewart Lee breaks down the lazy tricks comedians use instead of strong material. O'Briain's "Eeeeh" is brutalised, the technique, that is, since O'Briain was unheard of back then.

I must say I love sandi and the show now. But I noticed alot of the guest that Stephen had who were regulars are none existent in the show now and not only that but the sheer chaos here and fun is lacking of the new version. Like Stephen was the cool free spirited teacher. I trully miss him. I fell in love with Qi because of him at the age of 14/15 7years ago. From Tunisia with love to all 🇹🇳💖

The beer goggles bit is one of the best moments. Phil loves to make Stephen squirm.
It's such a famous concept at least one brewery used it for advertising .
I ended up getting some long winter socks from my mom, they literally go up to my knees, longer than Rob's. And let me tell you...he's right. They feel great. Kinda just makes you feel ready for anything lol

The balls in the thigh area make it quite difficult for that to be the case... I mean no matter how small that child is from the waist down it just stops working as a regular old suit... you'd be better off stuffing a monkey in it or just making it a big old puppet...

Very disappointed no-one called Asimo Ussain Bot after the running.
The one where they all say their age, alan doesn't answer but he is 42 in this scene, which is crazy he looks so much younger! Especially with dara only being 37 and looking at least 10 years older.
I'm 42 and I feel as though I'm younger now than they all were in that clip. But aparently not.... 😭😭😭😭😭😭

When bees don't make it back to the nest at night they can take a while to warm up in the morning. In those cases where it's still early and brisk outside the bees can be warmed up by you breathing on them. Once they warm up they'll take off and continue to live their bee life. Of course they'll usually warm up on their own and fly off eventually.
The first two minutes of this video are BRILLIANT 😂😂😂😂 the whole socks situation 😂

Isn't that often the way though? Once you get that big breakthrough, the improvements start coming quicker.
@@christopherdean1326 while that’s true, advancements have been happening faster in the past few decades than ever before. It’s like if the Wright Brothers unveiled their first flying machine and then five years later we had the Boeing 747. The rate of advancement is neck-braking
The difference is Asimo wasn't made with the ultimate goal of killing anything. That is all that Boston Dynamics is about. 🤷♂️
