- A year before this video, our neighbor had to take her dog to live in another state while she traveled and my son stood in her yard and cried as they drove away. We didn't think the dog would be gone for so long but my son prayed for his beloved canine friend every single night while he was gone. This was the day we got the wonderful surprise that Bogart was back. They were both equally surprised to see each other. I was able to get some video, you can tell they love each other. đŠđđ¶đ
p.s. For those of you wondering, my son does have a dog of his own, but that doesn't diminish his deep enduring love for Bogart. Also, Bogart is an German Shepherd Husky mix.
p.p.s. This video going viral has provided conversation opportunities with my son about how there are always going to be trolls in the CZcams comments. So those of you who are cynical and callous enough to post on my personal video that you think my son is "retarded" or "autistic" or "gay", thanks for giving me the motivation to teach my child to be better than that. And although he is not any of those things, I would still love him just as much if he were.

This is too precious! I don't think most children would have this intense and sweet reaction when they haven't seen their neighbors dog in a year. It speaks volumes to the special bond they share. You can definitely tell that Bogart missed Lennox as much as Lennox missed him.

A special needs child (5 years old) just moved in next door to me last month.
He instantly fell in love with my dog. My dog now goes out and wait at the fence for him to come out and they run along the fence together for hours lol
I let them give her treats and all that.
He doesn't have many friends and he has a really tough speech impediment.
Warms my heart to see him having such a relationship with my pup.

It is instinct, PM, much more than parenting. Most boys probably have it but parenting and puberty have a way of draining it out of boys as they become more independent and more macho.
I canât believe people would be so heartless as to talk about a little boy and how he feels about his neighbors dog. Your son is absolutely adorable, the way he shows how much he cares. So many adults could learn from this video on how to treat our animal friends.

I'm nearly 30 years old. I have been to funerals, i've lost a grandmother, 4 family members, still didnt cry. I watched this, tears ran down my face. I dont know why, but watching animal reunite with familys is very emotional for me. I'm a very cold blooded guy that dont cry at all, but this literally made me tear up. I'm so happy for both of you

When I was pregnant with my son, I had to give my 2 year old pup to another home. She had the best owner ever (besides me)and when I saw her 10 years later she was just like this and I-as a 30 year old woman-was just like your son! I find this particularly touching as I was in hospital for 6 months following a road accident and I remember being united with my dog. That was 50 years ago when I was about the same age as this boy.
I have watched this video countless times. I am nearly 49. My best buddy Astro just passed 2 months ago. He was a Husky Wolf hybrid and looked nearly identical to this beautiful guy and the way we were was as close and heart felt as I can see in this video. I cry with a smile every single viewing! I have a sad memory about my dog. I was about six years old when my dad died, but before he died he had bought me and my sister a boxer puppy. Kids bond with animals instinctively and my sister and I loved that dog, we even slept in the dog bed with her (we had anxiety problems after dad died). Later, I was about 12 years old my mom told me to take her to the boarding Kennels because we were going on holiday. The kennels were about three miles away and although I didn't want to I walked there with her, she thought we were going on another of our adventure. I handed her over to the staff, I still remember how she struggled and looked back at me as the staff took her down the path. I walked back home dejectedly, I didn't really like the idea of going holiday without her.
A few weeks later when I got home I got the news that she had a heart attack during her stay in the Kennels, she died and never got to see her again. Whilst she was living I had that connection with my dad and I really felt it when she was gone. I still miss that dog and hate the thought of her pining away in those boarding kennels. I loved seeing this video though. Sometimes we have to carry these memories through life, I am 60 now and I still remember.

Well, we used to have neighbors who had 2 dogs, and one of them was a hyperactive (and very friendly, she loved giving "kisses" to anyone who was close enough) little thing but even though she wasn't our dog, we'd still look after her when her owners had to be away for a while and as a result she basically became part of our own family (and this also helped us in another way, as it helped our healing process since at the time we had pretty recently lost the last of our two dogs, so her presence helped to lessen the blow a bit). Sadly, her owners had to move away somewhat recently and so she had to go with them.
We are now looking into getting a new dog or two if we can find any that are fairly close by, though we'll need to repair/replace the fence in our back yard first, as the one we have now is old and falling apart, so if it's going to be used again it will need to have some significant repair work done or we'll need to have an entirely new fence put in.
I love how the dog wants to jump for joy but stops snd realizes the best thing to do is lay there and let his boy pour it all out. Dogs!! â„ïž

Man I tell ya. Most people that would look at me being a 260lb bodybuilder and not looking the most friendly would not get emotional over something like this. But god damn this brought me to tears. My son got his dog when 6 and our dog lived 16 years - it was like the film
My dog skip. When he died my son mourned him and then after a few days was ok.
A bout a week after this were heard the tags that had a distinct clicking sound when he use
to run about. The sound came right into the kitchen when we had dinner when my son was home
from college. It was like a final farewell and we never heard it again. I think it was our dogs way
of saying goodbye. It made us all feel very happy.

I swear I was emotionally traumatized when the couple passed away and my family wouldn't let me keep Lass. Asian parents sigh.

I had a similar emotional meltdown when reunited with my dogs Coco and Ruff, after I returned from another country.. After reading your video description... It confirms more to me, that half of everyone who lives will go to hell. Personally I am no weak individual. I am a strong individual, grew up in a farm and served in the Security Forces after high school, and had a career in undercover law enforcement. .I remember when I was young having a close bond with a neighbours little dog,he was a Pomeranian cross and so intelligent,I adored him,I knew him from when he was just a tiny pup.At one stage he was given to the owners niece and I broke my heart,till one day I heard a familiar bark and knew it was him,his name was Dinky and Ive never forgotten him.I ran out into our adjoining garden and he ran over to me like we'd never been apart.Is a memory I'll always have so I can totally understand the way this boy and the dog felt.Anyone who is cynical about this lovely story,or passes judgement in any negative way,clearly hasn't experienced the bond that we can have with our animals.It's a special thing,and by the way,at the time our family dog was a German Shepherd and I would walk them together,so it wasnt that I didnt have a dog of my own ,I obviously did,just like this little boy did.I think he's going to be a compassionate and caring human being,unlike the ones who negatively commented xx

WOW, I am a grown man and seeing this brought me back to when I was a young boy and had so much young boy for our pets, the love is so real. I love all animals and just lost my 8 yr old cat to cancer, she was my baby girl who I cared for til she passed in my arms, 8 months ago and yes, I cried like a baby because, Gracie was my sweet baby. Later I was adopted by a sweet boy cat named Theo, he just turned 11 last week and he is now Daddy's boy,.I love him as much as Gracie because he is my special boy. as I type this Theo is sleeping on his side of the sofa, loved, fed and taken care.

Trolls are exactly what they are, mean spirited, evil little entities who lack any human compassion, love, empathy, etc. They have none of the things that make humans, human.
They are ONLY tough as long as they can hide behind their computer screens in their parents' basement or guest rooms. They are THE MOST emotionally, spiritually and intellectually stunted of all species on this planet.
I'm glad you were able to use these sub-humans as a learning tool for your son as to what NOT aspire to be! They are the shining example of what not to do in order to be better people than they are. My old dog Willow was kind of the mascot for me and my group of friends in our early to mid twenties, she was a great dog and I could take her anywhere so she went over to my friends' houses with us a lot and out to events and even restaurants if they had outdoor seating, etc, everyone in our friend group loved her. I have so many pictures of her being goofy or sweet with our friends and they have pictures of her they tag me in too. When she died, a friend I'd had a falling out with reached back out to me and started crying when he mentioned Willow dying. Losing her was like losing a child, and they were all like her aunts and uncles. They were her pack too even if they didn't live with her just like your son is in Bogart's pack even if they didn't live together. This is just like if he was best friends with the neighbor's kid and they didn't get to see one another for a year. People who want to shame a boy showing emotion need to go to therapy

I'm 63 and if my dog was lost and I found it again after a year I'd react the same way.
I love his happy tears. Iam 60 I fell in love with my upstairs neighbors dog. She was little and weird looking but so sweet and living. He moved and I always asked about my girl . She passed away. And I broke down in frount of her owner. He said he never realized that any one else could love her other than him!! So not true.
So much for a young boy to learn and tuck away and remember for the rest of his life.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is how deep a relationship between a dog and a boy can be. I still haven't gotten over the fact that we had to put down our 15 year old dog whom I had such a bond with. That being said, don't send any sympathy messages because to put it simply, all they could do is show that someone cares. I don't talk about that dog much anymore, but I still remember him.
This video shows just how deep a dog and a boy's relationship can develop, and the tears are joyous tears from seeing the dog they haven't seen in years. A boy's mind develops much closer with canines than girls or other boys. Dogs are a godsend and they are so unimaginably important, and they improve life so much, this is just ONE example.
I'm guessing that the trolls have never experienced love that's just about the bond between 2 best friends. It's sad for them, but they can't see it so they mock and deride others. I'm surmising.....
