I'm always amazed by his quick response. It's one thing to write something funny and to lead a conversation, but it's the little comments that really make me lol.
I think the main issue was no details, punchline or any build up to the story either, with the right wording and timing you can make a lot of things sound funny.
Women can definitely be funny, but not under pressure. That's why most female comedians are not funny, because at least from what it seems to me as a feminist, they mostly became a comedian due to their snarkiness and wanting to prove that a woman can be funny. You should make jokes a few genuinely like making jokes and making people laugh, which they sure do, but no attribute of it should be to prove yourself to anybody. This is where your skill gets misconvoluted, it gets destroyed and it's execution, which it can be revitalized, but when you're doing something just to prove something, it's not going to be as worthwhile or going to be as impactful. Most men are comedians just because they are funny and they enjoy making jokes, while female comedians are some of that plus trying to prove that a woman can be funny. That should not be one's motivator, especially when being a comedian. You have to genuinely like your craft, and for goodness sake stay away from sarcasm, it's too unfunny.

Most random people on the street aren't gonna be able to pull out a comedy routine when they find themselves put on the spot suddenly by a guy with a mic. The only lesson from this is if a dude approaches you on the street with an uncomfortable question, just politely refuse and walk on by, just so not worth possibly being publicly humiliated for his content. If you're gonna do this you could at least target people that deserve it or bring it upon themselves?
