I am able to extract a mileage of 15.5(heavy traffic) to 17(light traffic) in the city and upto 21 on the highway while my i20 is only 1 month old (according to the MID display), using light foot technique (running is with AC on 26° all the time). Car is super smooth. The car needs some getting used to on the highway curves, it does feel a bit vague (i drive a EECO without powersteering for long hauls for reference). Also in this car you cannot be lazy with gear shifts, especially on overtakes, so rev matching is a very useful technique to learn.
The features included in this car are definetly useful and i use all of them.

💯 I have been driving elite i20 diesel asta since its first launch of 2014. I have driven over 80k kms till now, and even today, car drives like a new car. I cannot point out a single rattle which this car emits. Non Hyundai people when ride with me, still often get surprised that the car is diesel.
The only thing which failed was my ac condenser, which as per all mechanics and service centre guys, does fail after about 5-6 years. Elite i20 indeed is a premium hatchback even today and has great build quality.

Driving i20 asta diesel since a year almost completed 40k running. I became diehard fan of hyundai. Smoothness and fitting of car is awesome. After this much running my car dnt make any fitting noise. My driving is only in highway so it deliver me 20 kmpl average too.😘😘😘

I lost my remote key of my brand new i20 sports +.
My query is how to get original remote key again? Do we need to change whole sensor connectivity? Or just reprogramming would work?
This is my 1st car so no experience of showroom things really. I’m just worried if would get duplicate key.

Hi Gagan- thanks for such a detailed review and for diesel engine this time. Agree with you alloys design was better in previous model. Rear seat armrest should be given in lower variants too. The biggest plus point is this car looks best in its segment. But now after Venue launch lot of confusion.
Hello Gagan, Thanks for the detailed info as always.Can you advise if you face or have heard any issues with the power/pick-up issue in 2nd gear i20 Asta Option Diesel variant?? I am actually facing the same, and the car ia yet to go for 1st service in a week or so..Can I expect any improvement in the pickup?? Pickup is just ok around or more 2000 rpm...Please can you advise.

I have i20 Asta optional Diesel march 2018 facelift model.... I have done around 25000kms.... only once I encountered the braking issue at around only 1200kms....the road was kind of uneven had some gravel on it... in that situation when you apply brakes .......the brake calipers make a cluttering noise that can be heard in the cabin and the car won't stop. Told the company service centre.... they told me it was ABS. Since then no problems. I love this car.... if going for a diesel hatchback.. IT IS THE BEST in segment. The refinement will wow anyone... .......the premium quality standouts from the others that i have seen.
If this issue comes in tata, then people make big debats on tata quality. People mentality. lol.

Hi Gagan, i do have i20 petrol variant and i am a new driver with my 1st ever car. Just wanted a clarification if the car controls like Brakes/Accelerator/Clutch gets heavier if the car is having low fuel?
I believe it happened with me. After i refuel, the controls became too easy and light.

Hi @gagan i am confused which car should I purchase between i20 and amaze.
In terms of money Elite i20 is 70000rs cheaper for me (as per dealer )..
What I want to tell you is that I am purchasing first car for my family. There are 3 members. Usually i will be driving the car for city purpose. So you can expect 11000-14000 kms of yearly usage..
The features that I am looking specifically in car are it's mileage, build quality, comfort, less maintenance.

I did chip tune of Diesel i20 with the help of tune o tronics.it is now diesel rocker. Turbo spool at 1200 now.

Gagan bhai......breaking problem also exists in baleno. But usually you won't notice it...but sometimes it sounds terrific while breaking. I have complaint many times to service center but they were not able to resolve it. But recently i wrote down to maruti and then the service center did a complete breaks check up and finally found and resolve the issue. Maruti already informed all the service centers regarding breaking issue in baleno through a circular but not one pays attention towards that circular.

Brakes will not work on rough roads...especially while descending...padal will be jam...you can try your I20 with this manner....I also have I20 and faced such brake problem many times.

Bhai because of you I brought Petrol i20 Asto(o) in 2017 ,( You rewied with your own car ) I feel it is underpowered and Mileage is very low......you could have said that also in that video...I would have gone for Diesel. You said power delivery is linear, super silent, Design is awesome and all the positive ones but didn't tell the negatives. I am a middle class fellow so still driving it which I can't sell or change the car in a very short period. Also I have brought for Loan, So far 60,000 KLM done.:( But I agree on Design, Quality, Comfort, smoothness and owner pride is there for sure.
How about Nexon diesel in place of i20 diesel? I know you are going to say that it is different segment but I am asking overall like reliability, milage, handling, stability, long term usability and safety.

If I speak about handling, I have i20 sportz diesal, I don't feel confidence over 110, it feels really scary even on small jumps.. Compare to swift diesal which I own since four year.. Also second thing, I feel the turbo jerk is very less compare to swift...

Hi Gagan, your videos are helpful, I watch them and also subscribed your channel. Actually your elaboration in very nice. BUT I found that your videos lack some very important factor of cars related to engine. Which engine car is using, is it a new release or old, have turbo or not, performance at low rpm, best rpm performance, handling at curves, pick up at low rpms, suspension at different terrain, turbo lag, success of the engine model, ground clearance benefits or negatives depending on suspension. I hope you understand my point. Those who love driving majorly looks for these factors. It would be great if I get this info also in your upcoming videos.👍
