on road? I don't think so. My sportz optional goes around 8. I was told Asta is 9. Or maybe because it's Mumbai

Hyundai is improving thier styling and features as time goes by, this car looks like the next gen hatchback with decent enough "usable" features. I am from mumbai, and not having a cruise control option doesn't bother me ( due to our unpredictable traffic conditions ) this car seems to be good in looks and fuel efficiency as well. And the DRL feature suits luxurious cars such as the mercs audis and bmws to be honest. They've also given good legroom space for passengers on the back seat. Thanks renuka for giving an early and 1st review for the elite i20. Good job as usual.

Hi AutoCar India, I am planning to buy a car with in couple of months. driving is weekend trips and budget can reach with in 7-8lk on road. Interior cabin quality & instrument cluster is best in class . No wonder that Audi team was involved in the design of the European hatch model.
Overall look is premium inside
Engine is nice and powerful
Milage as expected a bit less due to the power of engine

Top speed of petrol engine please?
which is better i20 or brezza?
I am planning to buy i20 elite petrol Asta model. But had few doubts.
1. Read in somebody's review that even the top model of i20 elite (asta) does not show information like car mileage and kms to run in fuel.?
2. No automatic car locking as the car achieves speed?
Not that these 2 features will make a huge difference, but all the cars in the same segment like swift and even below its segment like celerio have both the above 2.
It would be really helpful if somebody clarifies my doubts?

Hyundai diesels are really silent. I can't even hear my fluidic verna crdi at cruising speeds.

+sahib hora theres just 1 secnd diffrnce in 0-100kmph in diesel and petrol 1 second is not much difffrnce in day to day life .. unless if you want to race in a car like this
If compare grandi10 with elite i20 which one is good to go?I am bit confused between two of this..
Go for i20 Elite. Smooth ride and very less engine noise than grandi10. Moreover grandi10 is a 3 cylinder car whereas elite has 4 cylinder.

1) My height is almost 6 feet & if I am on the back seats, will my head touch to the roof?
2) How accurate is the navigation system?
Yes.. Even my height is 5"11.You'll have more than enough head room and legroom remaining.. after getting seated.
And Navigation system works good on State and National highways. It really fails if you are near to sea.

I booked my I20 Elite Sports(o) Diesel , I heard that I20 will plan to rolled out I20 with touchscreen Infotainment system, Also i read on the web there schedule date to rolled out new I20 on 8 July 2015, I also contacted my dealer for the same and he's don't have information about it. I am confused should i wait for it or not....
Ashish Sood I booked on 31st. The dealers are creeps never give out information about the upcoming changes. Will hamper their sales. I guess will have to settle for the Current Asta Model. Excited none the less

Though good looks but Punto is an Italian Charm it's stunning in terms of looks
With a fluent design n fun to drive
But bad in city traffic due to short gearing

i20 petrol doesnt have gud pick up
its actual mileage is not so good as compared to claimed mileage which is 18.6
handling and suspension is not so gud as compared to competition
if u wnt above mentioned things thn u shld purchase swift petrol go and take test drive

if u want best space

best look
best quality material
best cabin feeling dnt thnk abt oder car go for elite

after doing lot of research and comparing all the cars, i thought i20 sportz was the best pick

i am college student so my 1 priority was looks, so ford figo was not even an option in my list. i personally like figo aspire more than figo. and 2 priority is mileage. my list was having maruti suzuki ciaz(petrol, vdioption), wrv(petrol base variant), baleno( delta petrol), ecosport( 1.5 trend), i20( sportz), vitara breeza(ldi option).
1. ciaz was actually a nice car but it was little long for my building parking, so i removed it from the list.
2. wrv was recently launched so their was a long waiting, and also that its 1.5 lakh costlier than i20 with same mileage so i removed it from the list.
3 ecosport . its mileage was less and it lacked features also and if go up in the models then it would be out of budget so it was also removed from the list.
4. brezza. it was having 22 weaks of waiting so removed.
5 now last baleno vs i20. i personally don't like the looks the baleno. its chrome trail in the front bumper make it such a girlish looking car, i mean its trail extend till the headlamps and the projector and whole that lok likes the eye of a girl and its headlamps led ohh god it hate them. i thunk they just wamted to attach the led so they put it their without thinking how ugly the car will look.
so i bought i20 sportz and also the sportz had 40k rs cut off because in 2017 model few features were removed which didn't bothered me at all so for me i20 was the best pick.
if u would ask 2 then it would be ciaz or breeza depends on your liking

I Test drove elite i20 asta petrol version..The cons in this car is 1)Even if you adjust seat height to max extent left corners are hardly visible, where as in older i20 left corners visibility is very good. 2) Front side design of this car is not that good compared to old i20. 3)Dashboard is not that stylish as in old i20..old i20's dashboard is the best..!!

Yes, you are right. Black color, Honey comb design Front Grill looks like a big hole in the face of the car when viewing at a distance. Also door opening handle is little big and doesn't match with the door. It would be better if the Car Door Guards are chrome color. But the performance is far better than old i20. (Tested diesel Asta)

Polo's looks are classy and typical European type..
Elite i20 looks more sporty and aggressive..
So POLO PUNTO and Elite i20 are currently best looking hatches..
But remember i20 is nowhere near to the sheer performance and drivability of the German motor..
Oh no! Ajith Nayak.... We actually went for a test drive for both the cars and the drive quality of the polo is bad!!(petrol)...but the i20...Sheer driving pleasure
I must admit that the polo's built quality is any day better!
It doesn't make sense when safety is compromised . Indian govt should make airbags mandatory and rest all is secondary !!!.It's not worth the deal !!!! Rather I would prefer a German or Japanese manufacturer !!!!!

Engine is a disaster (petrol),does'n pull in second gear on straight road.And with diesel you really need to wait a long time for turbo to wake up,no driving pleasure just a sporty looking car.

Looks terrific?/ You can't conclude that for yourself! I find the front to be weird and dull! The current i20 looks much better than this CD slot like grille. Disappointed by Hyundai!
The rear bumper also doesn't suit the overall rear design.
Cabin looks like a mix of some BMWs and the Grand i10. Also too much beige on dash-top.
Equipment levels seems to be good, but for 9.5 lacs on road, there are lots of other, more practical bigger cars.

Not for everyone! and you can't claim this as the"Best hatchback"!! Costliest in it's segment.
In pictures and in videos it didn't look that good to me. But when I saw it in a showroom I was quite impressed by its looks. IMO it looks best in its class. And Polo comes as close second.
It looks like a blown up grand i10 to me with a bit more equipment and an bad face surgery. The grand is much more gorgeous. Hyundai has spoilt it.
