  • The device used in this video is called the SKIROAD made by an Italian company www.skiroad.it and the model used is the "carbon gold 5". I got many questions in the last video so just hope this helps.
I think this is a great tool for keeping in the ski mindset over summer and through the autumn to get ready for skiing. These are some great variations you can practice to improve your short turns.

Wow! I do that all the time as well on rollerblades and I was always wondering if that wouldn't be a great exercise for skiing! Great Video!

I would be interested to how different these would be to using standard rollerblades for the same purpose. Thankyou for the great demo.

Just depends on how your orientate your hip. Obviously any moves can be bad for anything.

  • @languagetruthandlogic3556

Great balance and technique! The technique on rollerblades is very different to Harb carvers. Any rotary action trips you up straight away. They are not as versatile as rollerblades but I do like the tipping /untipping action to carve turns. Do the skiroad devices operate similar to rollerblades? Looking forward to your next on snow video. Keep safe.

These to operate similar to roller blades. The skiroad have a model that does carving only like the harb carvers. I just tried them yesterday for the first time and they are quite different to these, You need a lot more speed and it can be intimidating on a road surface with no protective gear. I think i need to buy some to get more practice in otherwise it could be quite dangerous. Also you need a bigger wider road.

Ciao Reilly, sei il mio IDOLO!!! Grande!!!
Ti scrivo in italiano perche so che vivi in italia.
Questi esercizi sono veramente propedeutici allo sci. Andrebbero fatti sempre.
Fai corsi privati di sci? Sarebbe possibile fare uno o più giorni con te come Istruttore?
    Grazie mille... buona giornata

    This is very interesting.
A question.....do the rules of "weight on outside ski/pressure" apply to training with these roller blades? In other words, do you unweight the inside roller blade and then re-weight when transitioning to next turn?

Looks like the closest you can get to skiing without skis. When do you think you will be able to hit the snow again?

  • @ProphetOP3

can you show some long turn ?

    • @ReillyMcGlashan
      @ReillyMcGlashan  Před 2 lety

not on these skates, the carving model from skiroad you can only do long turns on. It is a little scary though as you need a lot more speed and on the road it can be quite intimidating to go that fast.
