This is super helpful because though not for me, I have a friend who is absolutely in LOVE with Sea turtles so this would be perfect for her!! She doesn't wear much makeup but I think it would be a nice Mother's day gift as she's going to be a mommy in April!! 😊🐢💓

Chantecaille needs to do more to their products. I'm a huge fan since my 20's. Now, they have nothing new but new packing with low quality than they used to have.

I so appreciate all the comparisons you do!! I suppose you don’t have Prairie Smoke from fall 2022 to compare to Starflower. I think it looks a little less nude and more plummy pink but they sort of look close!

I have to admit I’m in love with the packaging. Like you, I think the Starflower Lip Chic is my favorite item in the whole collection. In fact, I was thinking that right before you said it! lol But I also like the eyeshadow trios, maybe leaning towards the cool palette, but I love the olive shade in the warm palette. I just checked the Chantecaille website, and this collection isn’t on there yet. Do you know when it’s supposed to launch here?

Thank you so much for a great review 😊 Unfortunately, considering Chantecaille’s ethos I find it pretty unforgivable that their special release packaging is not able to be refilled with other products they produce. Once we’ve used up the eyeshadows, we can’t do much except throw away the components, and they should be striving to produce packaging that we want to keep and reuse.
I completely agree and put in my two cents to their company about that as well.

Thank you for the video. It was fun to watch. I never seem to like any spring makeup collections except sometimes the Chanel launches. I really liked the Chanel pink blush and baume essentiel stick highlighters from last spring's Le Blanc release. I can't remember the names of them right now but I love the pieces that I bought.
Last year's Chanel was lovely! That blush really was a great purchase imo.
Thanks Lexi. C Lip Chic shades are always beautiful. I have quite a few old ones. They are all still ok. The eye shadows are a no from me. After your Prada video, I ordered the palette with the blue shade. One of the ones you don't have. I am anxiously awaiting your demo of the upcoming Chanel palette which has a pretty light blue shade. Any idea when that's being released? PS I keep all my makeup in the 'fridge so that's probably why my Lip Chics are still good. I live in the tropics.
No idea yet on the Chanel but i keep asking! I am so tempted to get the other two prada palettes so please lmk how you like the blue one!

I’m conflicted. Since you find the eyeshadow formula just “okay” I’d like to pass on it and normally that would be an easy decision…but the sea turtle compact! Maybe I should just get one? But it’s stupid to have a compact in a drawer because you love to see sea turtles on it if you never use it. Gah! I’d definitely get one if it was refillable and I could use it forever with their singles. Oh I don’t know!
Now the Lip Chics are easier! I’m getting one in each color packaging. Starflower and Ginger Lily I think.
I think I’m skipping the shadows😱 (but I might change my mind!)
Maybe put a beautiful sea turtle sticker on a different compact? Lol. Or wait to see if it goes on sale…

You are really working so hard to get these collections out. I, for one. Appreciate it. I can’t get these. It’s too pricey for whet you get. The lipsticks are pretty twist my arm 😂😂😂

Thank you for the wonderful review, Lexi! I'm glad you like the release. For Chantecaille's price point, I want more than "adequate." I'd rather explore Addiction Tokyo's line than continue investing in a company that isn't giving us anything new.

Hi Lexi. Would you be willing to post a swatch comparison of the purple shadow in the cool toned pallet compared to the Pangolin luminescent eye shades?
Sure I will try to get to that tomorrow and put it on the community tab. IIRC there are more reddish/pink hues in pangolin.
That taupe shade would have coordinated better than the golden bronze, I agree. I love that lavender shade but bronzes don't suit me. It definitely looks cooler online so thanks for that! Are the turtle pans removable like the elephant? I know you said the gram sizes are different but the shapes look interchangeable? Sorry if I missed that.

Hi Lexi, you're the first I've seen review this collection so thank you for your constant efforts. The packaging is probably what's catching most people's attention but I agree that there is really nothing out of the ordinary with the shades and offerings. It's nice but if you're watching your budget or already have a lot of their releases perhaps one doesn't necessarily need it. Appreciate the review greatly and all the effort you put in on a daily basis. ❤️🪄✨💫🥰

I’m very disappointed that the Chantecaille holiday collection didn’t come in Australia. The eyeshadows from this spring collection are not wow at all and is a pass for me. The lipsticks are nice and I might pick up the Ginger Lily if the collection will be available here.
I am waiting for a review for Chanel spring collection. Many influencers bought (I saw on instagram) it but for some reason they don’t want to review yet.

Hi Lexi! Wow! You got this Chantecaille spring collection super fast! (Before I forget, what is the nail polish brand/shade you are wearing? I did not find it in the description box.) Both trios are very pretty - but the pigmentation is lacking somewhat - I never liked the formula for their single refillable single eyeshadows, so they’re a pass for me. I am glad I still have the Polaire palette. The Lippies are pretty and neutral, and though the shades are similar to prior years’ shades, I will get the new ones because I know for sure they’re fresh. Thank you for another great video.
It is Starrily Wizard Duel Chrome. It has a lot of color shifts! I missed the polaire palette and that was always one i regretted!
So helpful and great comparisons. Nice but agree nothing new. I have the Elephant palette but did what you did and swapped the shades. Not my favourite formula.

Thanks for highlighting the latest Chantecaille makeup release. Not sure these are for me. More excited to try some of the new releases from Chanel, Cle’de Peau, Dior, and others. As you said, nothing particularly special. I love the Lip Chic lipsticks but these colors are not terribly new. I have a collection from last year. Stay warm today! It’s freezing in our neck of the woods 🥶

Lexi, what's the diff between Lip Chic and Lip Veil? Which lasts longer? xxx
The lip chic has more of that translucent shine to it and it is a thicker formula with a vanilla fragrance. The lip veil is a thin layer of pigment and it isn't as moisturizing but it is fragrance free. They last about the same amount of time. It really depends more on the shade. The deeper shades of the lip veils last longer than the deeper shades of the lip chics though in my experience. The create a stronger stain.

You look really pretty in all of this. I especially like that Starflower lip color on you. Here's the thing: these products are a terrible value IMO. There are so many other eye palettes in this price range that offer more interesting, versatile looks. There isn't that much anyone can do with only 3 shades. I love the way you have the colors layered and I'm really into the water color, pastel eye look for Spring, but there are several palettes in other brands that can provide that type of look or even better. And they'd do it for a little less. So this will be a pass for me. Thanks for the video.💚

@@LexiJong Or $23 less and get one by SUQQU. Heck, don't tell Chanel, but I can get one of their quads for $10 less. I'm wearing Chantecaille Skin Tint right now. And I have their Future Skin. Their foundations are really terrific. But honestly, the color products I have from them I never use. I bought them for the packaging.
It is a shame! They were my favorite brand at one point.
@@LexiJong I've seen several brands that I loved devolve like that. Bobbi Brown was a huge disappointment, but not unexpected. I think both Pat McGrath and Tom Ford are headed that way too.

In your short one of the palettes the warm had 3.5 grams on the back not 4g. That confused me. 0.5 gram is quite a difference if you get only 4 g. The color stories are really pretty. On you they looked neither really cool nor warm. Considering the color spectrum these are pretty neutral shades and therefore will look nice on a wider spectrum of undertones. What would be nice if they had added a darker more pigmented trio as well. I think the theme would fit something a bit more vibrant too... Maybe a water blue coupled with a coral color or an amethyst shade.
I totally didn't notice that! Good eye! The volume should be the same for all of the shadows but perhaps some of the pigments weigh a bit differently. A blue would have been beautiful and would have been perfect with the sea turtle theme imo.
