I think the lip chics are the best “ universal” lip product on the market- comfy -pretty -moisturizing -and shiny but not lip glossy and they help out mature lips immensely!

I am not a tropical type either, I prefer the dark and stormy northern oceans. I used to live on a bay on the North Atlantic, and Diamond back terrapins laid their eggs in my yard. It was so cool, great seeing the babies…but a lot are hit by cars. Hate to say, I was able to live on the water because someone built houses where those turtles have been laying their eggs for thousands of years. It’s really sad.
I just got the Cool palette. I bought it because I wanted something soft and subtle. The older I get, the less I want heavy, obvious makeup. It doesn’t look good on me anymore, and I want people to notice me first, not my makeup. True they aren’t overly pigmented, but they are definitely buildable. Today I wore the lilac shade, with a warm reddish brown smudged liner, and put a little of the brownish shade along my lower lashes. Dark brown mascara. I think it looked really pretty, perfect for day time but not boring at all, and it wore well on me.
The thing about this kind of packaging…seems a shame to throw it away when the shadows are gone or expired.

Im new to your channel and that was a terrific, comprehensive review. Im also a new Chantecaille devotee and actually have the cool turtle palette and I love it (and the packaging!) but I’m very fair with a cool neutral skin tone (everything goes orange on me) so less pigmented buildable shadows are a bit of gift for me. I think the lavender shade looks wonderful in cold daylight with green eyes - and I love the brown too. You’ve really tempted me toward the warm palette as well now though (aargh) and the Starflower lip chic… I just need to rustle up the moral fiber to wait for the sales… thanks again!

I love your reviews. Always so honest and genuine. I picked up the Starflower lippie but that’s about it. I was really on the fence about the cool palette but it doesn’t look pigmented, as you said.

I think they are actually the most long wearing Glossy lipsticks I have tried, and really nice, slightly plumping/smoothing formula.
How would you compare Star Flower to their Prairie Smoke Lip Chic (LE shade, sadly)?
Ginger Lily looks also so pretty on you. But very similar to their Tiger Lily Lip Chic (which was too yellow to me ;(?

I am a beach girl. Any beach! Warm or cold! Anywhere. I was raised in Hawaii so it is second nature to me. This collection has also spoken to me. I grew up swimming with the turtles in Kaneohe Bay. I have ordered the cool palette and coral vine lip chic last week from Space NK. I cannot wait to get them. The sheerness of the two cool shadows remind me of Chanel Le Blanc. We shall see.
Lots of colder beaches in BC, Canada! You'd love Tofino or Qualicum Beach as vacation spots
Great video! I love turtles too and think the packaging is really charming. The warm trio is beautiful. Greens are my absolute favorite and I love how this one has peach too instead of just different shades of green. I love the Rosea shade of Lip Chic. I love the Lip Chics. So comfortable and gives good color. They wear off gracefully and don’t smear or bleed like some of the very soft glossy lip colors ( ex Tarte maracuja). I’m going to wait for a sale.
I haven’t tried the Haus Labs glossy transfer proof but have about six of the Maybelline Lip Vinyls which are the same idea. Allie Glines has lip swatch videos of most of the shades. They have some pretty peachy nudes.

My daughter has fair skin and she loves the cold too. She wants to live in Maine or Canada. I can relate when you said you like cold weather bc she’s just like that. She’s going to major in marine biology in college too.

There are high shine tints that don't transfer outside the outer transparent glossy layer which then gets replenished... It's not a new thing. A'pieu brought these tints out first in 2019. As for most new lip products it's a Korean innovation and simply copied by Western brands
