Taylor often talks about how his disgust for bullies and anyone who uses their strength to hurt people who don't deserve it. In this song, he has finally snapped and is letting loose his aggression, singing about his desire to kill this guy and make him feel the pain he has inflicted.

You nailed it, it's 100% about bullying. It's interesting that bullying makes the person bullied come to a point they hate the person bullying, but they also begin to self hate and want to take their own life to escape the pain by suicide. To me, socially, this is one Slipknot's most important songs. I think people tend dismiss metal as a "bunch of screaming " and don't read the message.

This is a very old song by them. They've since separated themselves from violence. But in context, that song is about him being bullied in school and what he wanted to do because of it.

@@casper4202 I've been listening to Slipknot since 1999 when they released their debut album. Iowa, the album this song is from, was the album I listened to all throughout my high school days in 2001. The lyrical expression is pent of violence he felt towards one particular bully Corey had when he was younger. The song's meaning is out there, and he talked about this song again not too long ago. I'm not dismissing the fact that this song is filled with violence lol. You may want to do some research on the Iowa album. The remaining six of the original members and past members, RIP Joey and Paul have all said that Iowa was the darkest point in their career. I won't get into the details, but the info is out there. :) After Paul passed away, the rest of the band members went clean. Phasing out drugs, and alcohol, they've started to lose weight. Mick, and Shawn are good examples of them getting healthier. Most of Slipknot's songs now are about current real life issues, the media, and a handful of other things. They still manage to encapsulate the aggressive nature.
What I was trying to get at is the violence in the songs I mean honestly they're not violent to me but to a lot of people they are That's what I'm talking about no need to school me and slept not I've been right here next to you listening to every single song except for those my early 20s soundtrack

To be an official maggot you have to understand that all maggots are family and stick together whether you have been through a lot or if nothing is wrong in life, we are all family.
As a fan of slipknot I think Iowa is an album everyone should hear all the way through there is alot of real pain in that album the title track is Corey having a break down while trying to record it to the point he's hospitalized you may question why people should listen to said album fully through and it's for the same reason they should listen to this one whether you like a band or genre like this or not shouldn't matter with an album like Iowa because Iowa is that album you listen to and have a mental experience that not many bands can offer you empathize with it and it really can change how you view things in life when you hear an album from people who truly were I'll back then it helped me personally through tough times just knowing someone else has had that kind of pain so to anyone who hasn't heard it and just randomly came across the reaction of this one song I urge you to try and listen to it all and really ponder on each songs lyrics and if you've been on both sides of the coin you'll probably come out feeling better about things and might be able learn a thing about someone you might not have treated so well or have a mental connection to the people portrayed in these songs
