This is definitely their best concert performance, though their current tour is absolutely amazing! Slipknot is back in it's prime for the first time since Iowa this cycle.
I absolutely agree with you, they finally came back to the rails with this new tour.
I agree it annoys me how everybody recommends download 09 when's it's their worst performance when they should react to this consert or the subliminal verses era conserts
I completely agree I saw them in 2015 and it was amazing but it pales in comparison to how Corey sounds on the current tour its the best the band in general has sounded in years
You might find this "the best" but there are performances I like in 2009 more. What makes 2009 a bit "meh" compared to this is the difference between mixing. I love Jim's, Clown's and Craig's energy in 2009 more. Corey, Joey and Sid was more energetic in this concert. So it is really fifty fifty for me.
@@rybo0072 Huge disagree on Download 2009. I think the one performance you can say was real iffy was tha Rock am Ring concert back in Vol 3. Corey's voice was hella shot and compared to the work he was doing in that era, yeeah.

Slipknot released a DVD of this entire concert called Disasterpieces. Worth seeing if you can find it. Probably the best Slipknot show they've ever done.

I actually consider this better than the studio performance to be honest, it’s the only song on the record I actually prefer live. Unless you are reacting for the first time and can’t understand the lyrics of course, then it’s quite hard

I got turned onto Slipknot from this DVD. A couple buddies were floored I'd never heard of Slipknot, and sat me down to watch this. I was enamored lol. LOVED IT. Didn't listen to anything harder than Linkin Park at that point. Huge fan immediately, and still now. Lost a lot of umph after AHIG, though.

Joey Jordison is 5”3 and played those drums with the power of someone about a foot taller and about twice the size, I.e. imagine if Mick Thomson played the drums instead of guitar. He was so good as a drummer for Slipknot

I saw this last tour back in the summer. I think you'll be surprised how energetic they are. Watch Sid if you can during the show. He's crazy as ever and I loved it
Corey Motherfuckin Taylor at his pure best. They still have it though. Even at the ages they are, they kill live.
And not even just Corey; the entire outfit fucking killed it. To have this song and this performance recorded live, it gets to live on in history. I see it as a part of Joey's legacy. Fucking. Amazing. Rest in peace, #1
if you honestly think that Slipknot will not be as you are seeing in these live videos that you are watching....you are in for such a treat....they are still just as wild on stage....coreys energy is soo contagious you just can't help it
If you think spitting on the camera is extreme, in the footage before the show even started drummer Joey Jordison pissed himself and made himself vomit. This is just some of the stuff they used to do to get themselves into the zone.

it's been almost 22 years and this is still the best live dvd ever made. this live concert sounds spectacular, and honestly i might even like it more than the studio album release.
I've seen Slipknot 2 times and I'm so sad that the tickets sold out so fast (here in Finland). Can't go this time.

Have the full DVD with the Iowa LP, the best LP for me from Slipknot help me a lot with my pain and Anger about getting beating at school and be everytime the bad guy.
What's crazy is that this live version is better than the album version just from an energy and emotional perspective. Arguably one of the greatest songs ever performed live in musical history not just by genre. The representation was unreal. There were well over a million people scattered at this show from the crowd down through the streets and the highways. It was the craziest show/concert I've ever known to exist. Awesome vid

I grew up in bands like slayer venom death king diamond overkill exodus so when slipknot came out when I was in my 20s I was psyched because heavy bands like that had pretty much died out then they came back full force

They do show quite a bit of energy, though obviously not quite as much, also this is the one song Jay seems to sometimes struggle some. Where Joey always picked it's pace up live vs the studio version, Jay struggles to keep up the pace, let alone be able to step it up. Great technical drummer, but not many ppl had the pure speed Joey had in his prime.

Sooo, a 'few' hours ago a new Video from Slipknot was released called 'Pollution' which is the weirdest and creative Music vid I've seen... My theory is that there are tracks from the upcoming album called 'Look Outside Your Window', which was an unreleased side Album project back in the All Hope Is Gone time. Although there are refferences to Death Because Of Death and Nero Forte (Whole Nero Forte music video is included). After all that it sounds weird right? U just have to check it out and a reaction would be awesome! (the vid is 20 mins long, just saying xd).

Without a doubt slipknot is one of the best if, not the best, Metal live act existing atm. I saw them live in Frankfurt 2020 and they absolutely annihilated every live act I saw before but Sabaton cause Sabaton live in Germany is maybe the most fun metal concert to go to.

I saw them at ozzfest 99 For the first time took me by surprise. Haven't seen them since 2014 yes they had calmed down some but don't be fooled this is still slipknot live performance is still intense. I know jay who replaced Joey on drums is an insane drummer but he was harder to hear for me then Joey ever was.
