- Welcome back to our channel, in this video we remove the air injection system on our 2021 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. The air injection system is on the bike purely for emissions compliance, it does nothing for performance. There really is no reason to keep this system in place and active on your bike. We show you how to easily remove it, the finished appearance is much better and the removal of the hose makes it easier to perform routine maintenance. Just wanted to give thanks because I am so happy with it! I've watched your EVAP system video religiously and haven't been able to find a delete kit for it so if you know any that would be super helpful. Otherwise, I will just follow your video. Para remover o evap é muito simples, desligue a conexão em cima dos coletores e coloque uma mangueira fazendo uma ponte ligando as duas entradas (bico) encima do coletor , retire o canister embaixo da moto , após ligar a mangueira que vem do tanque conectar na do respiro do canister apenas a outra que vai para a valvula de purga isole com um para fuso 8mmm , fiz na minha funciona perfeitamente, bem simples de fazer e mantém todas as mangueiras no lugar original . Veja também no CZcams o " James slick england " fala tudo sobre isso .

I am about to order the air injection delete kit from a US based Royal Enfield parts dealer in Texas (Western Cycle Supply) - but I wanted to see if you had any issues without using gaskets? Want to make sure I don't need to order gaskets as well.

after that modification, does the exhaust keep popping when downshifting and when you release the accelerator at high rpm?
Hey Rodrigo, I haven't noticed any popping on deceleration just the normal burbling. I think I had some popping at one time but that ended up being caused by an exhaust leak, I had to retorque the header bolts and that solved any popping. Thanks for being a part of our channel.
Gaday mate, just wondering is there any benefit from fitting this, I have a 2020 interceptor and still has the air injection system (as I just went and had a look), I didn't even know about it, so just wondering is all, I live at the gold coast, Brisbane, Queensland.
Hi Jason, Thanks for watching and being a part of our channel, there is no performance gain from deleting the Air injection system as it is a passive system it's only real purpose is to help the bikes pass euro 4 emission standards the Euro 5 bikes do not have this system. The only noticable improvement is de-clutering the top of the engine making it a bit easier to access the valve cover when adjusting your valves.

Are you thinking of just putting rubber plugs in the cylinder head where the reed valves are? If so this might work if the plugs are heat resistant.
I did a delete on a triumph before but the triumphs air injection turns the pipes blue, but the pipes on my 2023 Continental gt650 are fine, so i kinda dont see the point on this delete. Lake Charles Louisiana reporting!!
Thanks for watching, you're right it doesn't do anything positive or negative but removing it cleans up the top of the engine and removes the hoses and valves at the front of the engine.
Apparently removing the AIS results in less crackle/pops from the exhaust… Did you notice any difference in noise??
Thanks for watching, I didn't notice any difference but I had an exhaust leak causing some popping solved by retorquing my exhaust at the head.

It’s same EGR right?
It is a similar concept but runs the opposite way, EGR injects exhaust gasses into the intake system whereas the Air injection system injects air into the exhaust stream. Both systems are designed to reduce emissions. Thanks for watching!!

You are right it doesn't improve performance, but it does unclutter and tidy up the top of the engine making it easier to remove the valve cover for servicing the valves.
Did I hear right? You removed part of the emission control system, designed to reduce dangerous emissions, with no performance enhancement. Hmm!

With all due respect, what is the point if this doesn'ta do anything? Seems like your time would be better utilized on something that offers performance improvement.
That may be true, however I like the look of the cleaner less cluttered engine, as you say it also doesn't do anything with the system in place, I would also like to know why Enfield eliminated it on all the Euro5 650's ?
