  • One of The Atlantic’s hundred most influential figures in human history, Nader has been instrumental in the founding of scores of citizens groups as well as in the establishment of watchdog agencies including OSHA and the EPA. In dozens of books since his 1965 Unsafe at Any Speed, Nader has worked to educate and empower consumers. His latest call to action is an inspiring look at American citizens who have organized and waged successful fights against big business and corporate privilege; in this election year, Nader reminds readers how crucial and powerful democracy is.

" A 1000 word essay on your civic responsibilities, can you do it "?
Ralph Nader doesn't abandon individualism for group think. Instead, he credits individual creativity as the basis for communal success.
Ralph Nader is the real deal.

Thanks for your life-long dedication to being our advocate. You've save our lives, you've educated us. You've shown us what greatness looks like.

I've already worked with a small group that protected an environmentally and culturally important area from mining interests twice. I can't wait to see what we can do with more ideas. I'm gonna hold workshops and turn out vast armies of little Ralph Naders!

The system keeps us all busy to death working to pay bills and never get ahead. Never have time to develop ourselves in any way, participate in the political system, heck, no time for our children and animals. And this is coming from someone who doesn't shop, have expensive hobbies, toys, vacations, or clothes and jewelry. Trying to pay for monthly rent and utilites, keeping two older cars on the road with regular issues, and dealing with surprises-my wife can't see anymore and needs glasses, I need a dentist, something needs replacing. Must work all the time to keep up. I wish I was a little smarter. I want to be politically active and do my part. I'm just spent financially and physically.

Tim M None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are Free...
The Men the American People admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars and criminals; the Men they detest most are those who try to tell them the Truth...
The only difference between the Corporate (R)REPS and (D)DEMS is the velocity with which their knees hit the floor when Corporations, the Military Industrial Complex, the Lobbyists, and AIPAC knock at the proverbial door.
To learn who rules over You, look at who you're not supposed to critcize...
Any American honest with themselves has to ask, How does One entrust the solutions to the underlying problems confronting the United States to those who are complicit in their creation?!
