How to make FRIED CABBAGE AND BACON / With Carrots ❤

FRIED CABBAGE WITH BACON is not only delicious but it's easy to do, it can be eaten as a main meal or as a side dish and is sure to please. It can be shredded or cut into big pieces and made stove top or oven baked, you can use the bacon grease or butter and can also leave the bacon out and substitute it with a meat substitute for non meat eaters. it is an inexpensive dish that many people don't think of preparing, but once it's served it is hard to put down.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 medium to large cabbage
5 slices thick cut bacon
1/2 large onion (chopped)
2 green onions (white and green)
2 medium carrots (diced)
2 large garlic cloves (minced)
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 - 1/2 C. water
1/2 tsp salt
lemon pepper (to your liking)
pepper flakes (optional to your liking)

My mom used to make this all the time. We loved it we called it fried cabbage. The only differences you add pepper flakes and paprika to.

My Chinese mom cooked cabbage with bacon. She didn't use carrots; she added some dried shrimp and a little oyster sauce. Delicious.

Yumolicious is the word I've come up to describe this wonderful plate of food! I love fried cabbage and I truly love your version of it dear amiga. Love the addition of the paprika and carrots especially. And for Johnny's version I just leave out the bacon for his half. Thank for this as I'm always thinking of different dishes to make for dinner and this one will make an excellent side dish. Hope that you and your Ron's week will just be blessed splendidly for you both my beautiful friend.

I love fried cabbage, but because of dental work, I have to have my bacon soft and the cabbage piece's small not big like your Ron likes. For a kick I use Cheyenne pepper which is easier to control the heat and I use a couple of tea spoons of sugar to add a little sweet with the savory. Either way it's makes a great inexpensive meal since I'm on a fixed income 😊

I've been eating fried cabbage since the '70s I cook fried cabbages just like that for my children in the 80s fried cabbage been out forever it's just not start cooking fried cabbage I'm 60 it's not a recipe you all just not figured it out
