I was hoping for Budapest at the 1st place, absolutely fantastic city. It got everything I am looking for in the cities: it's beautiful (would be even more if not the Germans), it's exciting (always something to do) and it's safe (especially compared to positions like London, Berlin, Brussels). I just adore it and can't wait to go back
You definitely go to Ljubljana in the summer, it’s a completely different experience; Ljubljana is famous for its gloomy winter inversion weather - but lovely in the summer. It is small but really lively in the sunmer.
