Hey Jeff, this is Megs, Miss TOK. Thank you for bringing awareness to this issue. You did a great unbiased share and tell of what our family business is dealing with. To sum it up, you are helping make aware that Tale of Knives images/videos are being used to sell a product that these fake companies do not make or sell. To put it nicely, they ship a manufactured fake leather /machine stitched clone. Tale of Knives gear is 100% handmade in the USA. Our minimal team hand dyes, hand punches and 100% hand stitches every single belt sheath we send out. In a world over run with cheaply manufactured goods, Jeremy and I work our butts off to grow Tale of Knives into a quality brand people will be proud to own for years to come. Thank you for the support!

Most of the people understood the message its a shame it passed right over some peoples heads...Some people dont understand why some expensive things are priced the way they are, of course its not for everyone but just because one person isnt interested doesnt make something overpriced or not "worth it"...

I actually saw a few of the companies using ToKs pictures. They would use their pics, and then the last pic in the line, at the very end, they would show what you were actually getting, to avoid completely misrepresenting their product.
You can't "steal" a design when it comes to these types of things really. Leather Sheathes have existed for a very long time. You can however trick people into thinking they're getting a better item than what they are.
ToKs not cheap, but these items are handmade, and the quality is great. You can see that in the pics. Looking at them side by side in the video it's easy to tell which is crafted better.
That's wht they stole their pics. They knew their products wouldn't fly for most people who want a quality item. I've seen them use the same tactic with clothes too.
I wanted one of these things, but don't need to spend over 100 bucks at the same time. So I went with the Chinese company that actually showed their own pics, and stamped their mark on the front. Easyant is the name, they ain't ToK quality, but they don't pretend to be either.

I love it so much. I wear it primarily at work as a home inspector and I flipping love it. Having a Leatherman, flashlight and a sharpie are the most used tools I need and don’t have to wear a carpenters Toolbag on my hip banging into everything. They are made outstanding and super high quality..
Then I see what looks like it exactly being sold on marketplace for only 5 bucks! Their reviews are what you could imagine. Either total garbage or never shipped. As a business’s owner, I would be super pissed . Please spread the word about TOK’s quality and deserving recognition.

Leather pocket organizers were not invented by Tale of Knives, they were invented hundreds of years ago. I saw this same design long before Tale of Knives was in business, so, perhaps they 'borrowed' the design from someone else and not the other way around. Actually got a "fake" one 2 years ago for like 20 bucks as I wasn't aware there even was/is an "original"... Only found that out a couple of weeks ago.
I've been wearing the fake every day, got a ton of use out of it and it suprisingly continues to serve me well. Instead of a pen I have a small BIC lighter in that pocket, as I get actual use out of that. Victorynox Multitool and a Fenix single AA flashlight are in the other respective pockets, wouldn't wanna miss having neither on me anymore. The keyclip I've cut off.
The only thing I miss on the fake, is the push-button flap to secure the multitool from sliding out on top. However this has never happened while wearing the organizer on my belt. Still haven't decided whether that flap is worth another 100 bucks to me to get an original at this point, more likely gonna add one myself.
Don't wanna roast anyone here, had I known about ToK 2 years ago, I would've honored their ingenuity and gone with the original in a heartbeat.

I do not agree with ripping people off like that, but if it was called something else the cheap version would be a good way to see if you like the design before investing over 100 dollars into something, if u like bad version you know you will love the real quality version lol

Also belted sweat pants it's all about comfort brother I'm a big guy too I don't worry about whatever bullshit is considered stylish or what have you I've even done suspenders with sweat pants or alot of times I just wear shorts in the winter with thermals or coats with pockets usable for gear. I'm Chinese and i'm SICK of these cheap items. I tried nylon but they'd just fray and have holes opening up just from the sheer weight of a Leatherman or mag slamming down to the bottom fo the pouch slot. I need leather. And I been hunting for GOOD leather EDC pouches but I could really use mag pouches that are leather made as well......

Damn, I was watching thinking that I might support this company and order one of these things to try out. You then said, 'These cost about $130.' If this company is ok with selling extremely, tiny, weenie small quantities of this each year, then all the power to them. I'm not saying, 'Make them in China!!!!', but if you 'need' to price something like this at that price, you are doing something very, very wrong! This is as if someone is actually hand stitching these in a basement somewhere. Not good.

Hey there Mitch, this is Miss TOK, a partial owner/maker of Tale of Knives. My husband and a small team personally hand makes these in small batches. They are hand dyed, hand punched, and 100% hand stitched. All of our gear is crafted in a shop probably smaller than most basements. We are a small, family business with big dreams.

@@taleofknives I run a small custom leather shop in Australia as a hobby/retirement business. When a customer says a job is too expensive, I sometimes write down the cost of materials, and the amount of hours taken to make the item. Then ask them if they would be willing to work for $5 an hour, then of course pay sales commission, business cards, advertising, product liability insurance, etc etc. Then I show them used items that I have made over ten years ago, and challenge them to find something cheaper that will last like that. Most of the time, however I just shrug and suggest they go to ebay and pay for the el-cheapo machine made rubbish and stop wasting my time.
