I just got my first pair of Five Tens and I love them!
Got em since February and I love them
I bought a pair of these and tried them out for the first day yesterday at a bike track, Wow! what a difference they make.
I just bought a pair and anxiously wait. Great review! Thank You.
I just got the LT version of these shoes and I love them.
Gonna order my pair in few days. These are Perfect for me😍 thanks CRC👍 always good to get a professional opinion and review
My size is a 13 and the past 5 10’s were so huge and wide that I never felt comfortable on my flat pedals. I was either hitting the side frame with my shoe ( scuff marks to prove this) or just loosing pedal feel because of the mass size and width. Kinda like a Herman Munster shoe. With these new 5 10’s I feel the pedals perfectly and comfortably. I ride in the Southeast USA and they suit my riding well. Way to go Adidas for making this shoe.
Been riding this shoe for 2 years now and so far love them.
2 minutes of riding is not enough to give a valuable opinion.
Similar shoe is the Columbia Outdry Facet 45. I got it cause it has a similar sock thing to keep the rocks out, plus they're water proof, and don't have laces. Great for me because I hike my bike a lot at the trails I ride.
I was having 50% of my mind to purchase adidas trailcross but your video changed to 100% by briefing about them very nicely. Thank's.
Same
Do you have them now?
Did u buy them
If you want cold and wet feet these are for you. I had to waterproof mine and replace the laces and they're destroyed in under a year. They're good for dry summer riding but you're gonna need a second pair for the winters. Ended up getting Freerider pros
I'm really pleased with mine but would have got the waterproof GTX version if they hadn't been delayed until next Aug. Because of the neoprene gaiter they start to smell (like wetsuit shoes) pretty quickly. Has anyone machine washed theirs yet? Hand washing just doesn't get that odour out.
I’ve had these now for 2 months, and while I like them, they’re not the best all around MTB shoe. I love them for days when I’m riding enduro sections where I need to hike-a-bike. But I dislike them for long pedaly rides because I find the lack of stiffness makes it harder to stay on the pedal during technical climbs. For the price the Freeride Pro is a better all around shoe. But I’ll probably just buy a second pair to have options.
Thank you for sharing that. Can i ask you something? I'm currently running freeriders pro and love them, but i'm looking for more ankle support as i had injuries in the past. Do these help support the ankle much more than the freeriders pro? Or is the design more oriented to avoid dirt and just protect from rocks etc?
I'm using the Columbia Outdry Facet 45, similar shoe. It's a hiking shoe, not necessarily built for MTB but it has that same sock deal which I like for keeping out rocks. Worth a look. They're waterproof too
@@jorge4254 Ankle support comes from the foot muscle, not shoe. All (any) shoe can give you is ankle protection.
These seem to be sold out everywhere. Do you know if adidas is bringing them back out? Im in the US and cant find a size 10.5 anywhere
I would love to see them make those shoes for clipless riders :o
They don't have these exact ones, but they have 5 ten clipless
so these are not waterproof? you mentioned they were fast-drying, but the insole was waterproof too. I'm confused can you clarify please
Looks awesome and i have a feel these will be great to wear.. just wondering about the weight!
412 grams each. So a little less than a pound
Ordered a pair and they’re on backorder! Hoping they continue to make them. Any word on that?
Go to adidas website its available
Just bought a new pair and I have a very narrow foot, placed another insole in the shoe and they feel great. That being said. As narrow as my foot is these shoes are brutal to put on.
I’m torn between this shoes and the free riders pro .. I got the regular free riders but I don’t like the sole since is not stiff enough
You told us how they are built. Not what you thought of them or how they performed. Did you actually use them extended?
does they run big or small?
Is it work for hiking ?
Hello how are you? What size difference is there between this model and the freeride? I plan to buy them and it would be good to know if it is bigger or smaller, thanks
These fit larger than the free rider pro's. I take a US11 in free rider pro, and bought a US10.5 in these...I might have even been better off getting a US10
I've got the Impact and the Freerider shoes. Would love to own a pair of these too. But what I think. I think the shoes are a great addition to the range. But I think the name is ridiculously long.
I bought them but I find the upper to be too soft. The outer sole is alright
Are these good for just every day use too? I dont mountainbike but i think these shoes are very interesting.
Of course they are, they can be used on a daily basis not only for MTB
@@Esteban8939 dope
Well this is a big bummer because my trails in AZ are full of sharp rocks and loose debri and i use the 5 10 freerider high top which is super sturdy and has saved me toes from getting broken countless times. But this new Adidas junk seems like would put my toes in jeopardy since it is so flexible and flimsy
i just ordered the lt version and i find it weird i am the only one complaining about the ankle discomfort.
Didn't understand one thing: are these shoes (I mean mid pro and goretex version) waterproof or not?
Mid pro, no. Goretex, yes
Does anyone know where I can find the GTX version? Doesn't seem to be available anywhere. Cheers!
I just got my mid pro today. I couldn’t find the GTX here in the States.
@@larrykingii Cheers. How do you like them? I ordered a pair yesterday. Also - it looks like the GTX doesn't come out until August!
Is the shoes waterproof? To prevent water from getting
No but they do a good job at preventing you feet from getting wet,
How about the sizes?
For wide feet like me should i go half size up or down?
Would also like to know if they fit wide feet. Having trouble finding shoes that fit.
Same as me
I’d like to know as well. Just looking for a riding boot.
I have narrow foot and I went half size down and they’re perfect.
I just picked up a pair of these. First ride my shoe slipped off the pedal and I wrecked my shin. They are nice, but not quite as good as free riders imo. Maybe my mind will change with more rides on them.
how do you feel about them 10 months later?
@@blazesmt They fell apart completely in 2 months. I switched to Ride Concepts
So basically it's a more up to date version of Adidas' Trail Cross Protect shoes, except that it lacks the shoelace cover
Yeah, I question the reasoning behind ditching the ankle strap. Made it stupidly easy to secure the laces so they never get hung up on anything.
@@MotoErgoSum , precisely!
Also looks like a pr of moon boots compared to the old ones
It sounds like not personal experience but very much like sales pitch. low version of it is crap. I returned shoes after few rides coz was not comfortable and scratched my feet but might be inclined to buy GTX for rainy days.
Waterproof?
Nope. But the GTX waterproof version has a delayed release (Aug 2021) and they are Gore-Tex. These ones dry very quickly but are not remotely waterproof. I bought some Sealskin waterproof socks for those very wet days
@@tantoodaddy thank you very much!
Look up mountain shoes on CZcams and check out these Fashions NICE..I really like these🖤
Not really a review was it, just an add for one of your products,.
These are not made for downhill bike parks. The sole doesn’t feel sturdy and stiff when hitting big jumps.
i more prefer 5 ten classic design. classic design looks more unique and icon.
check out unparallelsports. The original 5.10 creators made their own company when Adidas bought them out. all made in California
@@BradleyFerguson842 Necro yes, but thanks for that tidbit.
These look better than the freeride pro. Not a fan of that flat skatey dorky look
Specialists, laboratory, pro riders support and all five ten shoes lack the ordinary velcro securing of the laces. Shame Adidas.
Where is this weird English guy from? He has a really strange accent.
He's not English - he's from Wales. He therefore has a Welsh accent. Weird is a bit harsh, no? #BeKind
@@chainreactioncycles I meant funny. English is not my first language.
