The guy at 7:11 is baker mayfield- he ended up winning the heisman and getting drafted 1st overall by the browns, but has had an up and down career due to injuries and is considered by some to be a bust. He is currently slated to be the starter week 1 for the buccaneers
And how have the careers been for #2, #29, and #96 from Kansas? I'm talking about beyond this 1-11 season where they lost to the likes of Central Michigan and Ohio U and their lone win came against SE Missouri State. Kansas's record the following 4 seasons was 3-9, 3-9, 0-9, and 2-10. It wasn't until 2022 that they pulled themselves out of Big 12's gutter with a nearly respectable record of 6-7.
Yall are becoming a comedy channel before our very eyes, I love to see it. Funny NFL moments and especially commentators out of context are absolutely hilarious as well.
The camera crews are filming different aspects of the game and crowd simultaneously while the program director is in the control room full of monitors. There, he's viewing the multiple feeds in real time and is directing the cameraman and the person in the control room in charge of that particular feed, to present it over the TV. I saw that in a Josh Duhamel movie once.
7:11 What's also funny about that commentaryis that not only was he drafted number 1 overall, but the GM who drafted him said that that's the first game he went to to watch him in person and his fire made him want to draft him. Lol Commentator's were just clutching their pearls and needlessly running damage control. A few more things happened in that game that this highlight didn't show. Before the infamous crotch-grab, a Kansas player made a very late hit on his throwing arm and nearly injured him. He came back to score a touchdown, and that's when the crotch grab happened.
2:30 it wouldn’t have mattered either way. In college football, the clock stops on a first down but once the ref sets the ball a gives the okay, the clock starts. With one second, if they don’t have enough time to hike the ball to clock/spike it, there’s no way to get the special team on the field to kick a field goal. At best they could have hiked it and thrown for the end zone for a touchdown because you need more than 1 seconds to hike the ball and spike it. So even if they hiked it right when the clock started, time would have run out. They had no chance either way
Re. 6:30 Every team has a "get-back" coach whose job it is to keep overwxcited head coaches or bench players from actually crossing on to the field. It's usually the strength and conditioning coach who does it, for obvious reasons.
It brings me so much joy that two British guys can listen to Butch Jones speak for less than 15 seconds and instantly know he's a clown. Man I miss him in the SEC😂 #GoDawgs
8:26 that's the catch net, they always start puling it up prior to kicks, it's just more noticeable in College because they have people do it by hand, the NFL teams use an automated Pulley System so it isn't as noticeable.
2:54 If they had 2 seconds to run the play, this may have been the right decision. In college football, in under 2 minutes, they stop the clock for the time it takes to move the first down marker. They wanted to spike the ball so the clock wouldn't continue running when they set up the markers and they could take their time getting their field goal team ready. This could never work though, because by rule you have to at least 1 second off the clock for a play. That was going to be their last play no matter what they did. What they should have done with no timeouts is have their field goal team ready to go. Former LSU coach Les Miles is notorious for 2 things, running wild trick plays and poor game management in 2 minute drills.
A couple corrections: 1. The clock used to stop temporarily after every first down so the chain gang can reset the chains. A new rule change that applies to this 2023 season is that there is no temporary stoppage unless it’s the last 2 minutes of a half. 2. Since 2013, you’ve had to have at least 3 seconds on the clock to attempt to spike the ball. But even though that rule wasn’t in place at the time, 1 second was never enough time… so still a very poor coaching mishap to not run the kicking team out and snap the ball as soon as the whistle blew.
@@elijahfoster2yeah they nfl changed the rule where the clock stopped every time a player went out of bounds. To only the last 5 mins of each half it stops. Like ten years ago too. It shortened games by like 30 mins at least? Because a lot of games were beginning to push 4 hrs without OT.
The rabbit running @ Stanford was called by Kevin Harlan, 1 of the greatest play-by-play men ever. Anytime something wacko happens on the field, his instincts along w/ his sharp wit are on full display to the delight of us TV watchers.
6:18 That's Brent Venables. He's currently the head coach for my Oklahoma Sooners that are having their season opening game today. He's intense. He used to be the defensive coordinator for OU for 10 years in the 2000's. Won 1 National Championship. Then he went to be the defensive coordinator at Clemson for roughly 10 years and won a few more National Championships. He's known as an elite defensive coach, producing the top defenses in country for many years. Clemson had to assign him a "get-back coach" to pull him off the field, because he would get so animated and into the game and not pay attention if he was on the field.
In fairness to the band that let the guy stage dive into nothing, 1) you're right about holding instruments. Unless they're holding saxophones with neck straps, they ain't dropping them to catch him. 2) He played for the opposing team so they were NOT gonna help him out. Ball-grabber was Baker Mayfield and he wound up getting drafted number 1 overall by the Browns despite this and other antics. Now, he's had a checkered career to this point and he's was traded from the Browns (partially due to personality clashes) and has bounce around the last year or so but this did NOT affect his draft status.
🤣🤣🤣 I saw about the band being the opposition band 😂 I really wish I’d clicked that at the time of watching, that’s brilliant! That’s good to know, I wasn’t too sure how that kind of behaviour could impact the way NFL organisations see younger players. Thanks for the comment Kevin 🙏
The context for the guy meowing is that the team they are playing is the University of Pittsburgh Panthers. Each time the score a touchdown they play the sound of a Panther roaring. He plays for West Virginia, which is a big rivalry, and his team is winning in a blowout. Hence the meowing when they score a touchdown.
The BEST EVER player running into the band was the infamous Stanford/Cal game. Stanford kicked a field goal with 3 seconds left. Kicked off and Cal had like 5 laterals as they moved down the field. The last a "no-look" at Stanfords 20 yd line.. the Stanford band had started the Victory march onto the field.. the Cal player as he crosses the goal line leaps into the air and takes out the Tuba player! One of the most thrilling plays EVER! (unless your a Stanford fan!)
Mayfield got drafted with the first overall pick in the draft about 5 years ago, but hasn't had much of a career other than one good season. I think he is on his 3rd team already.
He ended the longest playoff drought in the nfl. He’s had 2 good seasons. He had obj for only 13 games in those last 2 seasons there but when healthy he was giving them the ball. I’m not saying he’s Tom Brady or really living up to being a number 1 pick but compared to the last 5 years worth of first round qbs he’s definitely top 10
2:53 - LSU under Les Miles was infamous for crazy clock management bloopers - most of which somehow worked out for them anyway. This one didn't. The idea was to stop the clock and then get the field goal team out instead of having to scramble them into place, but one second realistically isn't enough time to spike the ball (that's actually been explicitly set out in the rules since this game - when the clock is starting on ready for play, you cannot spike the ball and get another play unless the clock is at least at :03). 11:42 - That was John L. Smith, in his third year as coach at Michigan State. A communications blunder had just led to MSU attempting a field goal with 10 men on the field, and Ohio State as a result managed to block it and run it back for a touchdown. 7:47 so basically they dumped the water on the coach (because they thought they already won) then the other team scored a game winning touchdown so now the coach is soaked in water and lost
A lot of comments on the clock running out as the guy is attempting to "spike" the ball. Bottom line is they were out of Time Outs! With only 1 second they need to throw into the end zone. Not enough time to get the FG team out, or spike it.
Baker Mayfield was drafted #1 overall and won the Heisman. I disagree completely with the announcers saying that was uncalled for. Kansas absolutely deserved it. Kansas had been one of the laughing stocks of college football for decades, and were the laughing stock that year with a record of 1-9 and to show that sort of disrespect to their opponents who were 9-1 and then for Kansas to subsequently get smashed (like usual), Baker Mayfield was right to draw attention to this so that today we can continue to laugh at what a complete joke the Kansas football program is.
@@DNReactsBaker Mayfield transferred to Oklahoma from Texas Tech. The same school that produced Patrick Mahomes II (The 2nd as it known in America) Both QB's played Texas High School Football like Jalen Hurts of the Eagles,Drew Brees Saints (retired) *Nick Foles (*won Super Bowl 52 with Eagles in 2018) Mayfield even had an funny insurance commercial of him having the keys to open up Cleveland Browns Stadium and telling a guy how to take out the trash and what to do on the job.😅😅

The player who was grabbing his crotch, quarterback Baker Mayfield, wound up playing for the Cleveland Browns. So karma-wise, he got what was coming to him. 😂😂
Not exactly nothing... he QB'ed the Browns to their first playoff win in 30 years before getting hurt and hung out to dry by his coaching staff the next season.
7:10 Baker Mayfield did get drafted and he was very immature, which has hurt his career, but he seems to have turned that around the last year or so. 4
I'm not sure how college bands work, but in high school most kids rent their instrument so you can be damn sure that if that is the case for college bangs then ain't no body dropping their instruments to help. Them shits expensive😂

A lot of comments on the clock running out as the guy is attempting to "spike" the ball. Bottom line is they were out of Time Outs! With only 1 second they need to throw into the end zone. Not enough time to get the FG team out, or spike it.
Look up the video Taysom Hill Top Career plays. It will shock you how good of an athlete this man is!
On the last play with one second and no field goal try, the reason you didn’t understand is because no one did. It was one stupid play.
Thanks for this, glad we weren’t missing anything! 😅
Y’all should react to Lamar Jackson Heisman year highlights !
Appreciate the suggestion, thank you 🙏
The guy that grabbed his crotch was picked first in draft. Ended up being mediocre and now is starter in Tampa
Appreciate the info, thank you 🙏
Baker Mayfield was drafted #1 overall and won the Heisman. I disagree completely with the announcers saying that was uncalled for. Kansas absolutely deserved it. Kansas had been one of the laughing stocks of college football for decades, and were the laughing stock that year with a record of 1-9 and to show that sort of disrespect to their opponents who were 9-1 and then for Kansas to subsequently get smashed (like usual), Baker Mayfield was right to draw attention to this so that today we can continue to laugh at what a complete joke the Kansas football program is.
the guy who was grabbing his crotch is baker mayfield and he went #1 overall
Thank you 🙏🏼
Keep the laughs coming
We will do!!
You guys should watch a video about the "get back coach." I think youd find it pretty funny
Appreciate the suggestion, thank you 🙏
Good one fellas!
Thank you 🙏🏼
React to Eagles comeback vs Giants (Greatest comeback of all time)
Appreciate the suggestion, thank you 🙏
Iowa is not know for our QB running skills
The guy who grabbed his junk is Baker Mayfield. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns 1st overall in 2018.
Oh wow 😂 thanks for clarifying!
As an American, where should I visit in the UK
Really depends on what you like. Cities, we only have a handful and you’re best placed with London. Beaches/Countryside, well there’s just too many places to run through 😅
Why should Michigan State's band catch a Notre Dame player? F em from Detroit.
I didn’t even clock that they were the opposition band 😂 My bad on that one
Always funny when LSU loses.
Baker Mayfield, the QB acting like a loon at 7:10, was Drafted to the NFL, he was drafted to the Cleveland Browns, and now plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
How good is he?
Wow, he did alright then! Fair play, thanks for letting us know 🙏
@@DNReacts pretty goodd he was a Heisman Trophy winner in college, and he was one of the better QBs the Browns have had since they returned to the league in 2002
The player who was grabbing his crotch, quarterback Baker Mayfield, wound up playing for the Cleveland Browns. So karma-wise, he got what was coming to him. 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
again, he took them to the playoffs lol he wasn't great, but that's quite a feat
Great one baker Mayfield got drafted #1 in 2018 by the browns he has played for Carolina LA rams and the bucs he has done nothing
Oh wow, thanks for letting us know, appreciate it 🙏
Not exactly nothing... he QB'ed the Browns to their first playoff win in 30 years before getting hurt and hung out to dry by his coaching staff the next season.
@@DNReacts he played for Carolina and la in the same season
7:10 Baker Mayfield did get drafted and he was very immature, which has hurt his career, but he seems to have turned that around the last year or so.

Appreciate the info, thank you 🙏
High draft Crap career
Thank you, appreciate the info 🙏
I'm not sure how college bands work, but in high school most kids rent their instrument so you can be damn sure that if that is the case for college bangs then ain't no body dropping their instruments to help. Them shits expensive😂
