VA Benefits: Start Here! With the VA Welcome Kit
Accessing VA benefits, the benefits that your earned through your service, can be difficult and even intimidating at times. The bureaucratic process and multiple websites make things naturally hard to navigate. Well, it seems that the VA has heard the complaints.
They have a new online reference called the VA Welcome Kit, which has all the main VA benefit access points in one place. The Welcome Kit also has useful items like the list of documents a veteran might need to apply for a specific VA benefit or service.

It covers a wide variety of veteran related scenarios, for veterans of all generations and their care-givers, and helps identify the benefits a veteran might need at different stages of their life. I especially like how it is laid out so that even a person not familiar with the VA, like a concerned relative, could navigate to the appropriate benefit and get started.
Remember, you earned these benefits, so use them, understand the rules and make sure to do your research. This new VA initiative will help.
