  • Sharing some of the 1970s issues from the U.S. and Canada. I love the rare and less common issues so O Pee Chee offers an opportunity to make a newer vintage card a little less common. Various sets have different ways of being unique, so seeing several years gives some perspective on the year by year changes.

    Cool cards. Didn't know a lot about the O Pee Chee cards. Great video.

      @tseanshannon thank you, my friend! I've just discovered a lot of these in the past few years, so it has been a lot of fun to find new stuff to collect.

    Nice video comparing these cards. I'm not an Opeechee guy but love hearing info on them

      @pepinoman9271 thank you, my friend! I love reading that comment. I also enjoy hearing about different items, even if it's not something I collect. Appreciate you watching, even when it's not in your wheelhouse.

    Neat, I like the OPC cards better across the board here. The overall brighter quality and the backs are cool looking. Only ones I have are some hockey which is fitting being printed in Canadian lol.

      Yeah, I definitely agree. I wonder what the population difference is by year. Some years pricing is close to Topps, other years is a significant difference.

    Great video. Haven’t dug into the OPC yet but plan to. Going to need that 1973 Cey 😂

    That was different. Never knew about the Gary Carter & back is different. I have a Nolan Ryan like you ungraded & would think a 6. All nice cards. I have a good run on Reggie Jackson OPC cards.

      Very cool! Reggie has some of the best looking cards throught his career. Between cool uniforms and various shots, it's hard to find a bad one.

    New sub. Nice auto card. Have yet to have a card graded. Thanks for info.

      Thank you, my friend! I have several graded cards, but I have only made one submission, so it's still new to me in many ways.

      @@Valuevintagecards-Aaron yes I have yet to submit anything too. Afraid I won’t like the grade. Like to keep the card pure. It is flawless to me. Lol

      @Valuevintagecards-Aaron  Před měsícem

      @LandP-RIPPING I can definitely see that. I did submit some higher value low grade stuff, but more so for future help to my family. I will sat, the holders do look nice. I doubt I would ever submit anything that is under triple digit value either.

    Pssst... can we keep these under the radar until I complete my O-Pee-Chee HOFer RC run? Ha! I like parallel RC's pretty much over anything else I collect, and I've always viewed these and Tiffany, Nestle, Lyausa, etc as parallels. I collect the HK OPC HOFer RCs also. I'm also working on a 1977 Star Wars #58 "Harrison Ford as Han Solo" run with the Topps, OPC, Lyausa, Galaxia, Topps UK and Allen's & Regina. Someday, hopefully. Also, I think I just completed a run of 1978 Superman "Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor" cards, the one from each series. OPC, Topps, and Topps UK. The #s and colors are different on some, but all 3 sets have both series' Hackman cards. Also looking for any OPC/Mexican Harrison Ford card that mention his real name here and there. Loved this video and breakdown and I had no clue about the 1977 Gary Carter having 2 photos! Too cool, thanks for pointing that out. I think I'm vintage OPC's biggest fan but did not know that. Liked them all but I especially like that Schmidt RC. Great stuff!

      How awesome! I absolutely love the parallel collecting, too. It beings a whole new life to common issue items. I will be sure never to mention that again, though, so we can both collect with zero competition! Thanks for sharing some knowledge and new items to check out. Always love to learn about new possibilities.

      @@Valuevintagecards-Aaron Haha! What we really need is a few more on the market so we can get them cheaper! I actually hope you keep highlighting them, it's so nice to see somebody else who views them as parallels or legitimate alternatives. Keep them coming!

    • @Valuevintagecards-Aaron
      @Valuevintagecards-Aaron  Před měsícem +1

      @blixcards I agree! Those scarce options make the card fun again! Venezuelan, OPC, and Milton Bradley give 4 options for 68 Topps. It would be amazing to see more of these available for sure. Appreciate the support, too, my friend!

    • @blixcards
      @blixcards Před měsícem +1

      @@Valuevintagecards-Aaron You bet! I was just chatting with Sammy Thunder about those exact 4 options a while back. Vintage "rainbows"!

      @blixcards I have to admit, just added 2 new 70s OPC cards today. This convo has me inspired! Would be a fun collaboration video as well.

      @mostlyautumn thank you for watching and the comment. I have to ask, what makes you ask? Are you sensing Cardinal Fandom? I will definitely answer this one, just curious before I spill the beans. Thank you!
