One of the things I LOVE about the Scream movies, is Sidney and Gale's relationship over all the films grow and eventually become good friends. You see that when they meet up and hug. You flashback to the 1st film and remember how those 2 were together back then.
they grow and their hairstyles do as well!
I always think about their punches in S1 and S2 and their awkward hug in S3 and how by 5, they are practically sisters.
Each of the OG3’s (Sidney, Gale, Dewey) first appearance in this movie just hits different!

The Thing i love about the Scream movies is the tension. Its Basically saying "you go off on your own, you die" or "even if you stick together, you cant trust nobody". Theres no winning unless you know how to kick ass
I love that Judy calls her son Tiger as a nickname. This also throws back to her backstory in Scream 4 where she was in Peter Pan with Sidney, and how Sidney played Tigerlily. It's a subtle connection, but I appreciate it. There's a deleted scene with Dewey and Judy and it should have stayed in the film.

I’m not sure if you guys caught on but Sidney actually married Detective Mark Kincaid ( Scream 3) and they end up having kids as well!! Scream 6 is great ! Saw it in theaters I’m born and raised in NYC so it was definitely a treat watching the 6th film!
Fun Easter eggs. Drew Barry more was the voice of the school principal. Matthew lillard played the ghostface flame flower guy Ritchie was watching on tv of stab 8. Jamie Kennedy aka randy has a line off screen when there at the party saying some lame as dad is throwing us out. There’s like 50 more Easter eggs cause this movie was a tribute to Wes craven who did all 4 movies and a tribute to the original scream movie. Also the twin brother at the end doing a thumbs up showing he was alive was a tribute to Dewey. In scream 1 Dewey did a thumbs up showing he was alive
I love all the Easter eggs in this movie! This was a great squeal! This whole franchise is great. There’s not really a bad movie compared to the other franchises. Can’t wait for Scream 7

Noticed how Richie and Amber revealed themselves the same way Billy and Stu did? Billy and Amber revealed themselves by shooting someone and Stu and Richie revealed themselves by using the voice changer

David Arquette ( Dewey ) in this film is a perfect example of a guy that looks much more handsome as an older guy.
In the first movie, the scene where sid bumps into the Billy in the hall and the 2 girls in the background...one girl was running and the other girl was chasing after her saying "Christy/chrissy" that's Sam's mother.
I love that at the beginning the killer texted " This isn't Amber" when it literally was. She didn't even have to use a phone spoofer or steal the phone, she just texted from her own phone, and she could unlock the doors because she new her best friends code.
Trivia - re Chad's girlfriend with the pink hair, Liv: If you remember in the opening scene of the original Scream, after Casey Becker is attacked, her parents come home to find her missing and the house full of smoke. At one point Mr. Becker tells Mrs. Becker to get in the car, drive down to the MacKenzie's house, and call the police. Well, Liv is the granddaughter of those same MacKenzie's.

I was alittle surprised by Ritchie some how but amber I called before the "first kill" scene was over. Why wouldn't he have attacked her too? Like that felt like bs right off the bat to me.

The “eventually” Sidney says at the end is deep. Either they die and their suffering ended, or they do make it through and it’s all over.
Or, they might be talking about the franchise in general. “Will this ever end?” “..Eventually.”
Not surprising at all that billy cheated on Sidney especially since she was not not letting him have sex lol. Billy was good at fooling people and coming across as a good guy. Remember Tatum saying “ he had to have a flaw because he was too perfect “ What’s crazy is people would have suspected randy as being the killer before billy or stu. Hell Tatum died thinking randy was attacking her.

I never clicked so fuckin fast! Excuse my french I got so hyped once this notification popped up!! This one was so damn good and one of my favorites. Good take about having a different perspective since you’re watching back to back. Can confirm since seeing the OG Scream when I was 9, growing up waiting for the next scream, they’re big pay offs when they do come. Something to remember is a new scream is made and comments on the horror movie trend at the time. Scream 4 had to return to comment on the popularity of reboots at the time. This one for requels and so on. Scream has always been meta.
“This better be the best killer”. Yeah guys that’s how me and the whole theater felt, we were let down pretty hard.

When this came out in cinemas last year I went to watch it and I loved it and this year i went to see scream VI that was even better brilliant stars like Jenna Ortega,Melissa barrera Mikey Madison,Dylan Minnette,Mason gooding,jasmine savoy brown and of course the ogs David Arquette,Courtney cox, Neve campbell all Smashed their roles 🔥
And Jack Quaid (Richie's actor) He's awesome as Richie.

You two will LOVE Scream 6... probably has one of the best Ghostface calls and encounters across the whole franchise. You'll know which one I'm talking about once you see it.

I do think "Scream VI" (2023) has a stronger story than this one. I think there are some aspects you will enjoy more than this one. I remember when this came out the acting of the girl that plays Billy Loomis's daughter was criticized. There doesn't seem to be very much motive for the killers here. I will say the killings are definitely more brutal in this film. That stab through the neck was nasty. Great job on Scream 5, October Kids!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏

I’m definitely getting mixed messages at the end. You say it’s your second favourite Scream film, but say it’s getting formulaic. Scream invented the formula, this is what you’re going to get when watching a Scream film, like with Saw or Halloween.
MAN O MAN Scream came back with a VENGEANCE! This movie got me! WHen Dewie died I actually cried having been a fan since the 90s and been in the theater for every movie. After this and VI Scream took over as my favorite movie slasher franchise moving Halloween to #2
I really wish they didn’t show Stu’s house in the marketing … Would of been such a great reveal. 😂 Anyway, I definitely cried when Dewey died.

Great reaction! I love the Scream films, the original is in my top 10 movies, but this is my favourite sequel, and is in my top 30.
For the record, the original Halloween is my favourite movie ever, and i love most of the sequels, the only Halloween film i don't like is Halloween: Resurrection.

After watching a 10 show series, back to back was Great. BUT, two weeks later, I wish I had spaced it out like it was a new show and only aired once a week. Those series/seasons are AWESOME!!! BUT, we still have 1 more to watch. Soooo. GREAT Post, and see ya for SCREAM 6. And as of right now, the LAST one, that I know of. My fingers are crossed.

There were a lot of people who didn’t love this movie, so you’re definitely not alone with the issues y’all had with it. I can say you’ll probably like the next one more, that seems to be the general consensus among most people.

45:55 that’s how a lot of fans are in the scream community. They lose their minds and all reasoning over the scream movies. There’s even an obsessed fan who made a scream fan film and actually cut someone using a real knife. I stopped goin on the groups because of how toxic fans are on them.

I LOVED THIS ONE and really enjoyed the next one as well. I know people had issues and understand those issues. Like I hate what they did to Dewey and I don’t love how they left Sidney out.
But I did love how they brought Scream and set up a new main character group for a new era. But unfortunately they threw them out :(.
Amber didn’t kill Dewey. A small weak little girl is literally incapable of killing someone in that way. She severely lacks the strength
How DUMB are you? Richie was in the damn elevator with the sisters. Literally IMPOSSIBLE for him to do it. Amber also attacked Tara in the opening. Richie was in Modesto at the time. The directors have also confirmed that all but 1 of the murders was Amber. So she did MOST of them.
Dewey lost his sister and wanted to make sure Sam didn’t lose hers

These are reboots but also sequels this definitely make lots of similarities with the old ones which is a good way to figure out who the killer could be so this one was a lot like the first movie hope that helps if you guys watch the next one
