I remember that very "house" being displayed at the "Heart of Illinois Fair" in Peoria Illinois when I was a kid back in the late 1960's. Really cool for a 12 year old in 1968.
There used to be one of these houses in Baltimore. Always loved driving by it.
I gotta say, I like your videos and I would love to go exploring with you man
This is so cool! It's crazy to see what's in someone else's area in a different state where I don't have a chance to go check it out myself. Thanks for what you do for us⚠️👍
That trestle bridge looks like one between Easton PA and Phillipsburg, NJ
That was The Roundhouse Steak Shop on Township Line Road in Drexel Hill back in the late 70s early 80s I can't remember I lived right down the street from it used to go there all the time there was a fire and it burnt down somebody bought it was going to take it to Florida it ended up sitting right there where it's at cuz he ran out of money for transport
That abandoned Futuro House was definitely a Precursor or Inspiration for the Jupiter 2 in the Tv Show LOST IN SPACE!
There is an awesome Futuro Home right by the Beach in Pensacola, Florida. It looks just like a UFO from the road. Tourist stop and take their photos by the house daily. The owner is very cool, and allows people to take photos. It's a local landmark for years on Pensacola Beach.
You could tell that the people who lived there were absolutely groovy.
Jackie Gleason, the famous comedian, was very interested in UFOs. It's said he had a house built like a UFO he called "the mother ship.""
and did he take it straight to the moon, Alice!? :)
@@mf5531 lmao
So cool to see the Mercer Museum featured! Good times.
Pensacola Beach, fl has one. It's in great shape, with stood countless hurricanes.
We need to bring Futuro homes and Hexacube homes back into production. They'll run on solar power and be given to the poor.
Thanks chris love all your vlogs, the tiny house was awesome i could definitely live in one too.
They were quite popular for a guest house. Lots were sold and used for a clubhouse to party in.
Wow great video! I love it. I know I will never get to live in America so watching these hi-def random-abandoned things videos really helps to make up for it. This is what I would be doing if I were there. More please!!!
I live in Northern Kentucky right across the river from Cincinnati Ohio and we have a space house located in Ludlow Kentucky pretty famous around here everybody knows about it it stuck back in a State Park call devou Park but yeah it's sort of looks similar take care buddy can't wait to see your next video
Is that the one you can see from the bridge linking Covington, and Cincinnati, Oh. Or is that another one? Seen that one lots of times on road trips back and forth. Cool thing!
Thank you, I've seen that before & thought I was seeing things
3:25 I wonder how much it would cost to fix Buffalo Bill? What the Buffalo Bill bill would be...
Nice share wish I could have seen it when it was livable I'm sure I would have wanted one to live in.
thumbs up bud!!! something cool in PA hopefully I can find and check out. looking FWD to the new series
journey_with _jay Thanks Jay. Let me know. I can give you directions if you're close. gotta sneak around a bit.
There's a set of these set up and used as a house by me in Carlisle Ohio ,it's really cool looking and all the kids love it
That's bad for the environment. Someone should be held accountable for the condition that the building is in. That Futuro home's ruins should be be recycled.
Love this video!
That train house making the boxcar kids
Wow,
Chris, NICE lead-in theme.
wow I saw this house for sale in Philadelphia pa, in 1971,a promo for future living! I guess it never took off ..lol...lol..lol...
We have one of these in good condition here in Christchurch new Zealand!
Chris please do a video of "gone with the wind" film location 🙏
So cool
You do a fantastic job
That's so 1960s!!!
Have you been to the Mercer castle in Doylestown, PA? amazing
There's one exactly like it (still habitable) on Pensacola Beach Florida!
These if memory serves me...they were developed for Walt Disney Company for use at Epcot the city of the future. Monsanto Company I think.
1962 Seattle World's Fair- Dome Home, in sections like an orange. Totally Mid-Century hip. Think Space Needle, futuristic, mod!
Yeah back then everyone was sure we'd have flying cars by now... what happened?
@@lainiwakura4678 there is, not widespread.
There was one of these "UFO" houses on the site of a burned restaurant The Horn Book south of Boulder, Colorado on highway 93
I could easily live in a tiny house. The problem is having the land and yet still have mass transit. Developers seem to work against tiny homes that are affordable. They seem to support building codes that prohibit tiny homes unless they can over charge for them.
I live in Delaware but I have a customer that lives in one of these. He is a professor for University of Delaware or was. Also there is another one stations right off of Route 1 and lower Delaware I do not believe is occupied it. just sitting on the side of the road . they're pretty cool lookin. I would not want to live in one
I remember the one in Houston Delaware also the one down by Lewes Delaware
I visited a fully restored Futuro House at the WeeGee Exhibition Centre in Espoo, Finland a few years ago. Cool piece of Space-Age Architecture.
Shame I´ve never visited that place, I live around 30 kilometers from there.
I recall grace slick and Paul kantner, Jefferson airplane ha similar ufo house in their backyard, led to name Jefferson starship.
Featured in book called Shelter.
There are two of the Futuro houses just east of Dallas Tx.
I’ve seen the one in Quinlan Texas
Just tastefully write NCC-1701 on it.
There is one of those just north of Dallas
This reminds me of the ufo house in florida that got demolished.
Where is that bridge? I don’t see any abandoned or not rail bridge anywhere near lambertville. Strange
I used Google maps and found what looks like a railway bridge over the Delaware and Raritan Canal, just south of Route 202.
about the tiny home part you did. you said you can live in one. Well EVERYONE can live in one. NO one needs Big places at all. They just choose big homes. Or have big homes built.
Futuro.
What is location of UFO? I’d like to purchase and restore it!
Look it up
In Ohio a man owns two of these, they sit side by side and he attached them with a tunnel. It looks just like some sort of spaceship.
czcams.com/video/dCpgbloFeXc/video.html
It looks like a UFO landed on that house. :)
oops sorry
haha I was just thinking that it was probably in this same vlog. Such a cool place!
I hope your not by yourself, for safety reason,s.
What "safety reasons"?
AntPDC Sometime there are people ready to rob or hear people.
