I really like that moment with Bianca and Wednesday in this episode. Making her self-aware enough to not know if she can trust how people around her feel and compasionate enough to be afraid that she can't humanizes her in a way that makes her an incredibly interesting character.
Oh please. The big bad "dance" is a series of cut shots. I defy your great choreographer to dance her dance live, completely, not a bunch of moves edited together. The hype on this show is insane. It is the same as saying Renée Zellweger danced Fosse in Chicago (poses and cuts), or that Raul Julia actually spun Anjelica Huston so hard during a tango that she literally set the floor on fire. She has plenty of time and opportunity to show her dance skills while doing the talk show tours. Let us see it, just once, the dance from beginning to end, no camera breaks or edits. It will never happen, she is not a dancer.
The dance also has a reference to the black and white Addams Family show. The Wednesday in that did a little dance move, and Jenna incorporated it here. The dance itself is iconic and I love how much Wednesday just doesn’t care. Yes, Bianca! Know your worth!
I read where the cast and director never told the guy that plays Tyler what Jenna was going to do. They just told him to dance like her...that's why he is just standing there being amazed like the rest of us.

The dance that Jenna did in this episode was all her,she did a lot of research about old gothic style dancing and also some archives of gothics dancing at clubs and such and then she also added in a move the actress of Wednesday in the 1964 tv show did and mixed it up with her own stuff as well. She said she was terrifyed when doing it cause she never danced before and everyone was watching also side note Jenna also found out when they were filming that scene at the time that she had Covid so she was doing so not at her full heath which is also amazing. I know Jenna from the show Stuck in the middle of disney when she was about 12 or 13 years old and she was amazing there too. Also side note Jenna also was in the end of the Incidious movie,she played the girl that could see Elise when the boys came to the house and asked who is that woman behind you? she was a kid back then and it was her first movie she had done. She is also the one of the main parts in the new Scream 5 movie which was cool. Can't wait to see how you react to the finale when it all comes together.

This one was an emotional rollercoaster. Apparently Jenna used The Droop dance from the 60s TV show, Sousie and the Banshees, and footage of 80s goth clubs for inspiration. I would also definitely love to have one of Xavier's paintings. This series is such a fun show, a trip down memory lane with the Addams Family, and stuff that makes my goth heart sing. :)

She is stellar in this role especially with her dark and dry sense of humor she also took cello lessons since she wanted to actually play the cello instead of a stand-in, took fencing lessons and she choreographed that famous dance all on her own just adding that one dance move with shuffling of the feet to play homage to the original Wednesday everything else was from studying goth moves from clubs and other videos and choreographing it all on her own. She has put everything into this role. I’m so glad Tim Burton decided on her for the role. Jenna was his first choice.

Fossey, Siouxie Sioux was a huge influence, lots of 80's goth was going on. I remember seeing so many of those moves. It was amazing.
I love this show so much that I binged it in one weekend, and have been rewatching it along with you here. It totally gets my aesthetic tastes. I feel like the show was made just for me, and I would totally hang one of Xavier’s paintings in my home. I have a Gorgon bust that’s also a candelabra to go along with it.
I agree that Wednesday doesn't seem like the dancer type, but the movies always had the Addams take dancing VERY seriously, so I think that's why she lets loose here. (And it was awesome.)

Certain side characters just connect with fans, and Enid and Eugene are them in this one. Seeing Enid get her heart broken for a second time just isn't fair to that girl who wears her heart on her sleeve like that. And I actually shouted at my TV that they better not kill Eugene 🤣🤣

Jenna Ortega choreographed that dance herself, she learned German for those lines in episode three, she learned the cello for this show. This girl is amazing. Ortega is going to be one of those stars to keep an eye on. She's going to greater things without a doubt.
What signals was Wednesday supposedly giving? She’s as deadpan and emotionless to everyone.
That's what i find confusing about everything with these boys. She doesn't show an interest at all and they are so bent up over her. Blaming her for mixed signals is.... typical.
I saw an interview where they said Jena told them she didn’t want to have a love triangle at all as it would not be what Wednesday would do.
