- Most of these modifications, additions, and gear are great ideas for most small, aka Tiny, boats. The seat storage idea should work with size modifications for Bass Hunter and Pelican Bass Raider too. The link to the dimensions for the PVC under seat storage that I slightly tweaked for my own use are here: • JEFF'S TWIN TROLLER X1...
I just used a saw to cut my own and hammered it all together once I was sure it was the right size to work. To save yourself some sweat and spend some more money a pipe cutter could be a nice additional tool to add. I would recommend getting 15 feet of the 1/2 PVC so that you don't have to go back to the store if you run short getting the sizes perfect for your own use.
Allen, I like the magnets. Where did you get yours? I do not recognize them.
That under seat storage is a great idea! I like it. Gerry
I found the magnets that I used on EBay www.ebay.com/itm/Strong-Neodymium-Magnets-Countersunk-Holes-Rectangular-Pot-Magnets-Screw-Tape/153431630374?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 You will need to drill a slightly smaller diameter than the screw before drilling the screws in place should you choose to place on the metal seats like I did.
How did you put an end on your stake out pole and did you put something on the inside to stiffen the pole?
No end on this one, just cheap easy solution with electrical/grey PVC which is a bit more robust than plumbing grade. You can get true stake out pole for around 100 dollars that can do the job better in more firm bottoms.
What is the best batteries for these trolling motors????
Deep cycle lithium is best, but extremely expensive. I use gel that performs better and costs a bit more than lead-acid.
