    I got my boat last year, and I love this boat, I have turned lots of people to the website and CZcams channel to check it out. To anyone thinking about it, small boat small expense, easy to maintain, you will not be disappointed.

    How do you access the props to clear the weeds from them or the motors themselves if you have to maintain them! Do you just sell the hulls alone?

    • @TwinTroller
      @TwinTroller  Před 5 lety

      Hey Tim, thanks for your questions. The props are protected by motor guards that serve to keep the props clear of vegetation. In the past I have gotten some wed cover on the guards and I cleared them by just reaching under and pulling them off the guard. We do not offer the hulls without the in-hull propulsion system.

    Great video!. I just subscribed to your channel to see more videos. I definitely want a Twin Troller. I'm just waiting for the right discount to come along. And I'm waiting to see a video on how it performs in the weeds. If the motors get choked you have to rely on the paddle. With a regular electric motor you can just raise it up and remove the weeds.

      I've owned my Twin Troller for nearly 5 yrs. I love it. ( I've owned many boats over the years, equipped with electric trolling motors. ) You can't even use an electric trolling motor if the thick weeds are within 1 foot of the water's surface, yet a Twin Troller glides RIGHT OVER THEM. Seriously!!! EXAMPLE: Shallow flats 3 to 5 ft deep, yet has hydrilla covering the entire bottom like carpet, that grows up to within a foot of the surface. Some of the hydrilla even topping out in single strands. NO PROBLEM for the Twin Troller, because the twin motors are UP INSIDE the hull, and the weed guards work VERY well in most cases. I fish my Twin Troller in many weed choked areas. In most cases, simply running the motors in reverse will clean out weeds off the weed guards. But sometimes, I have to reach under & remove weeds by hand.......no big deal. ( No cotton mouths are going to hang around when 2 trolling motors come buzzing along. Those snakes will have already fled the area. ) The Twin Troller also buzzes right THROUGH mats of lily pads, even sparse stalks of cattails or bull rush. Simply be vigilant of any accompanying hydrilla and choose your path through such areas wisely. I'm still tickled to death with my Twin Troller! Steve D ........Melbourne, Fl.

    It just looks so short! It’s no longer than the kayak that I am currently using. I cannot imagine how two people could ever fish in it without hooking the other person with a lure. Then there’s the problem of having adequate deck space to place a cooler or a tacklebox or a dry bag and still still accommodate 2 people in this tiny little boat. I can’t imagine why this boat was not made in a 12 foot model!? Two more feet would have made it so much more comfortable for two people to fish. I have been vacillating on whether or not to purchase this boat. It seems to be a niche boat. I live in Branson Missouri where there are three huge lakes and I have yet to see one of these boats. There is no show room that you can go to to view one on display. They don’t seem to exist anywhere except on your website. This does not inspire confidence as I approach the possibility of purchasing. I would hate to spend $5000 on something that is completely sight unseen. Another issue that never seems to be addressed on any of these videos is speed. How fast will this boat go under trolling motor power? How fast will this boat go with the Honda 2.3 gasoline motor? If the boat is glued to the water surface as advertised, then I would assume it does not move very well over the surface of the water when under power. It would be nice if someone would address this issue. Thanks for giving my comments consideration! Ed

      Hey Edwin, my name is Steve, of Melbourne Fl, and I've owned my Twin Troller for nearly 5 years. #1: There is PLENTY of room for 2 anglers. The Twin Troller EASILY carries FAR MORE tackle, gear, rods, etc, vs ANY fishing kayak. You store tackle boxes/bags BENEATH each seat. I routinely carry 8 BAITCASTING OUTFITS in my Twin Troller, 4 in each side tray. Because there are 2 recessed reel pockets in each side tray, those baitcasters ( or small spinning reels ) totally "disappear" BELOW the side tray, allowing plenty of room for 2 MORE rod/reels. With 4 rods/reels in each side tray, the side trays themselves are SO deep, I can literally still stand completely up on either side tray ( when mother nature calls, lol ), and the bottom of my shoes don't even come in contact with my rods. VERY STABLE TOO. There's still room in each side tray for additional items such as: weigh scales, pliers, fish grippers, etc. Many TT owners, including me, rig a basket or shelf under 1 seat, for even more storage. Also, there's STILL plenty of room in front of the battery for a day box, for tools, 1 gallon gas can, spare prop, etc, etc. The Twin Troller scoots along VERY well with the twin electrics, about a fast walking pace. With a 2.3hp Honda, the boat travels about 6 mph. Instead, I purchased a new 3.5 hp Mercury ( it's really 100% Tohatsu), and my Twin Troller runs 8+ mph. That ridiculously expensive electric outboard available today only runs about 4.5 mph.....there's a test video USING A KAYAK IN PROTECTED WATER ( NO wind or current ) that proves it.......that video actually PROMOTES that electric outboard......yet that electric outboard motor costs 3 TIMES MORE than my 3.5 hp Mercury/Tohatsu gas outboard. You won't find ANY boat/kayak/canoe that maneuvers SO easily, and with such precision as the Twin Troller, using the twin pedals/electrics, I promise you that....even in reverse. MANY Twin Troller owners bought a high-end fishing kayak FIRST. Then they discovered the Twin Troller. ALL of them prefer the Twin Troller, and most SOLD their fishing kayak immediately, including Hobie Pro Anglers. I kid you not. Videos here on youtube prove it. I know one of em personally. Because the TT creates "water tension" when the cavities are expelled of air & filled with water, the Twin Troller electric motors still maneuver/travel at speeds that WILL surprise you. I can go farther distances, and fish longer than any kayak fisherman........I do it all the time on my area lakes. I travel OVER 6 MILES to the south end of the Stick Marsh/Farm 13 for giant trophy bass, and I have YET to see any of the many kayakers even attempt to go way down there. But I see them everywhere in the north end of the lake. It's simply TOO far for them to go. I make it with ease, about 35 minutes with my gas outboard. ( I have yet to use up all of my fuel. ) In addition to all of the above, I also carry a good sized cooler for drinks & lunch. You can witness ALL of the above on 2 videos that I donated to youtube ch: "Lunker Fishing". The video titles are: "LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO STEVE'S TWIN TROLLER X10 - PART 1" and "TWIN TROLLER X10 GETS A CASTING PLATFORM". ( the channel owner edited & did a horrible hack job to my videos, but you can still see most of what I'm telling you here ) In the 1st video, I show how I carry everything mentioned here, and then some. In the 2nd video, I show a KILLER casting platform I invented for the Twin Troller, that is A TRUE GAME CHANGER for this boat. Distance, sight casting, pitching & flipping, are all drastically improved. My casting platform also has many other uses, shown in that video. Also, in this video with my casting platform, you will witness a scene ( NOT the first scene at the dock, but much later in the same video ) where I am traveling through a cut to approach the cameraman. You can see how fast this boat is, using only the electric motors in that scene. ( I have never ran out of power with my series 29 battery either ) I also have the custom 14 gal livewell with aeriator made for the Twin Troller, but it's not shown in the video. I only use it during the cooler months down here for jumbo live wild shiners to catch giant trophy bass. But it can hold several large bass, as an example. I'm happy to email anyone dozens upon dozens of images of big bass I catch in my Twin Troller down here on the famous Stick Marsh/Farm 13, if I'm given your email address. Please allow me several days because I'm always busy. I hope you see my response here Edwin, and I also hope this helps with your questions about this amazing boat. Tight Lines! Steve D.........Melbourne, Fl.

      I hope you see my responses here Edwin. Please see my other response, because I address most of your good questions. After posting it, I realized that I forgot one point: These boats are not found in local dealerships for 2 reasons: First, it would drastically increase the price of the boat, because the dealer has to make money. Thus it's factory direct. Secondly, most if not all dealers are in the business of trying to sell much larger boats, with a much larger profit margin. Why would any dealer want to threaten that concept by offering a boat like the Twin Troller. Also, the transom of the Twin Troller is so strong, I leave my 3.5 hp outboard on at all times, including trailering over an extremely rough, bumpy dirt road that is 6.5 miles long......to and from the Stick Marsh/Farm 13 here in east/central Fl. I was weary of that at first........but it's now been nearly 5 yrs, and the transom on my Twin Troller is just fine. This channel and many TT owners have really done a great job of showing this boat to the best of their ability. I can attest: EVERYTHING you see in these videos is 100% real and accurate. I am in no way affiliated with this company.......I'm just a pleased TT owner. I've owned many boats over the years, from small to 18 ft, and outboard motors up to 115 hp. My Twin Troller still tickles me to death after all this time.

      After owning & fishing the Twin Troller X-10 for a single fishing trip........1 yr.......3 yrs.......5 yrs etc ( I've now owned mine going on 5 yrs. ).......you'll quickly understand & appreciate the performance, stability, durability, comfort & storage this boat offers, and suddenly the price equals one of the very best VALUES on the water. Especially among ALL of the small fishing craft. Look what you'll pay for a Hobie Pro Angler and other high-end fishing kayaks. Some cost as much OR MORE than the Twin Troller. Can you run a small gas outboard on ANY kayak? NO. Can you carry as much tackle & fishing rods on a kayak vs the Twin Troller? NO. Can you bring along a partner in a true fishing kayak? NO. But you can do ALL of the above ( and then some ) with the Twin Troller. Can you maneuver a kayak with absolute precision w/o even thinking about it ( let alone all of the strenuous physical actions required for peddling and/or paddling) vs a Twin Troller? NO. Even the electric outboard motors made today don't even run half the speed of a 2.3 hp to 3.5 hp gas outboard.........yet the electric outboard costs 3 TIMES MORE. ....and I haven't even covered all of the benefits that MY Twin Troller gives me versus ANY fishing kayak or other small boat on the market. Many of the bigger fishing kayaks weigh as much as the Twin Troller, so "ease of transport" is a wash. The advanced material used to produce the Twin Troller does NOT crack or dry rot. Even the all-aluminum twin pedals used to control the TWIN high-quality Motor Guide trolling motor heads is built to last a lifetime. MY Twin Troller is without a doubt the single BEST VALUE I have ever purchased for fishing. ( I've owned many boats, including a brand new 17' bass boat with 115 Yamaha. ) PS......I invented a simple raised casting platform that costs peanuts to build for the TT X-10, plus it has other uses: more storage space because you can still stand on it, as you have a tackle box or other items stored beneath it. Sight fishing, distance casting, even pitching & flipping is better with the raised casting platform. It's totally safe, plus it makes a great foot stool when using the gas outboard motor to cover great distances, and also makes the perfect work station/bench, while on the water. It makes the already versatile Twin Troller........even MORE versatile. We get what we pay for. High quality products 100% made in the USA. Yours Truly.........Steve D. ......Melbourne, Fl.

    “You couldn’t do this is any other boat” yet does everything you could do in a any other boat 😂😂
    It’s a cool idea and a great little boat for some people, but the constant mention of “you can’t do this is a kayak or John boat” is mostly inaccurate and points to adverting tactics, don’t be fooled.... the vast of majority of kayaks and John boats can get you in the same areas. And to even compare this little thing to a full size bass boat is absurd, it’s like comparing a Prius to a full size truck.

    • @TwinTroller
      @TwinTroller  Před 5 lety +3

      You need to look a little closer. The Twin Troller has in-hull propulsion with 2 motors which means zero turn radius, hands free, 6-8 inch draft in full operation, can't tip it over, fishing experience. No boat at any price gives you all of these. You don't have all these features in a kayak, and you don't have all of these features in a big bass boat. Fact, not a sales pitch. Can you get a jon boat and kayak in the same water? Yes, but what you can do on the water with a fishing pole in your hand is what makes the fishing experience.

I can tell you right now, my Twin Troller DOES get into places I couldn't dream of getting into with ANY of my other boats. YOU CAN'T RUN A BASS BOAT IN 7" OF WATER, TO GET TO HIDDEN PLACES TO FISH. I DO IT ALL THE TIME IN MY TWIN TROLLER. It truly saddens ( and aggravates me to no end ) every time I see kayak owners and bass boat owners who continuously bash the Twin Troller with FALSE accusations and ASSUMPTIONS. Fishing Mojados........What are you talking about? The likes/dislikes and comments are here, you just posted your comment. People you claim "don't agree with this product" ( a rather odd statement to begin with ) are only those who either refuse to believe the capabilities of this boat, or they haven't talked to anyone.....especially multiple people, who DO own the Twin Troller. I got mine in late October of 2016. I've owned 2 different bass boats over the years, in addition to canoes and jonboats. And I can honestly say on a dollar for dollar basis in value, comfort, durability, maneuverability, and overall fishability, the Twin Troller is the single best investment I ever made in any water craft. Mine is subject to quite a bit of "abuse" due to all the stumps & laydowns in very shallow water where I fish mostly......but it's really not "abuse" at all, like it is to most other boats. I run into stumps just underneath the surface practically every day of fishing, and well over 2 years later, my hull still doesn't have a scratch on it, seriously. Wood has NO affect on this hull material whatsoever. I've hit stumps while running my little outboard so hard, it would've caused damage to my bass boats. Rocks, concrete, steel, and oyster bars are the only way to scratch or damage this hull, but that would damage any other hull material as well. Add in all the other unique features of this amazing boat, and it's really hard to beat. Ya can't "toss it on the roof of a car", but most men can easily load & unload it by themselves out of the bed of a PU truck. I choose to trailer mine. This boat will also run much shallower than a foot-pedal operated kayak, because the twin electric motors are recessed UP inside each pontoon. I tilt my little outboard up out of the water, and it's just silly how shallow you can go UNDER POWER in this boat. You'll have to break out the paddle to do that in a kayak.
