Artillerist/Blaster is a very solid defensive ranged that probably has the highest unrollable combo damage in the game.
His burst does take a while to set-up though, which makes the character come across as more of a defensive enabler than a DPS.
A blast to play, pun intended, and without a doubt a team-oriented subclass.

Yo Lin-O i really like the blaster in arena, the class fantasy and etc. But how do you break out of the mold? What sets a good blaster apart from a avarage one? Hows the skill cap etc. Awesome vid!

Class is mechanically incredibly simple to play and easy to pick up. A good vs great Blaster can be determined by map control (how well you can create space for your team with lingering hitboxes), situational awareness (how to avoid getting caught even when low on mobility) and above all predictive gameplay (knowing where people will be before they are and punishing correctly, be it with stun, gatling to catch skill animation ends or airstrike/howitzer).
A good vs a great Blaster is a big difference, but you'll only really feel it by playing with one that can enable you to play more openly because their map control and awareness is so tight.

Get a stagger or a stun and do your combo. Once you get in that mentality and become good at footsie, you'll be good at Blaster and Scouter.

Hello Lin! Can you explain the combo you do at 1:02 please ?

It's the Blaster bread and butter combo: Gatling (for a catch), roll in with Space Dodge, Swing (for stun), then set down Missile Bombing, Howitzer, Airstrike and Napalm (between Missile Bombing and Airstrike Hit to keep them juggled and force dmg cap so Airstrike get maximum damage).
TL;DR: Swing > Missile Bombing > Howitzer > Airstrike > Napalm

Looking at Blaster in pvp, I can't help but see it as a worse version of Scouter. Both have the same reliance on CCing but Scouter has access to better ones AND more of them, while Kamikaze Drone + Particle Accelerator can be done from a safe distance, unlike Blaster which has to be in their face.

Deathblade is a decent pick for high ping, but honestly - Bard, Destroyer, Artillerist and Summoner are likely the easiest to perform with at high ping.

That's right, it's fully equalised for arena.

I heard blaster gets hard countered by bard, is that true?

Yes. The Blaster combo takes a while to do, so its easy for Bard to use Rhapsody of Light to immune all the damage. Blaster is also dependent on landing his stun for combo, but Indomitable Performance gives people Hard CC immunity, which makes it difficult. On the other hand, Blaster is also massively ENABLED by Bard, because Energy Field + Indom makes for an uninterruptable combo.

Playing arti feels depressing after trying to get your combo out only to get interrupted and ass fcked into a 3-way. Literally the clunkiest and most stressful class to play pvp. Throw me some crumbs SG and buff my boi pls
