    Welcome! Assuli!
If you're interested in learning an ancient language but don't know where to begin then this is the course for you!
A step by step guide to the Hittite language, one of the best attested languages from antiquity. Here we will begin with an introduction to Hittite nouns (a-stems) and we will go over the case system, which can be a challenge for learners with an English speaking background.
With at least one class coming every week, let's jump in and learn about this fabulous Anatolian tongue, the earliest example we have of an Indo-European language!
This course is intended for complete beginners with no prior language learning experience. Due to this, a few simplifications will be made in how certain linguistic items are presented, but these will always be clarified in later episodes or in the comments.

    Here's my attempt at it:
ešmi is the 1st p. sing (eš being a verb of the first category): I am
ešzi is the 3rd. p. sing: he, she, it is
ešši is the 2nd p. sing: you (sing) are
ešwani the 1st p. plural: we are
Thank you so much again for these invaluable lessons.

In the homework section, should the bottom right be ēšši?
