Gazing into the sky, one may be overcome with the infinite possibilities of our worlds and, thus, ourselves. It is this sense of wonder and hope that has been captured in "Skygazer Fanfare." This work for concert band uses syncopated rhythms, layered percussion, and a sense of forward motion to create an exciting soundscape for young musicians. Careful attention has been paid to range and scoring to create a work that is attainable by smaller ensembles while retaining a full sound for larger ensembles as well. (2:20)

In 2019 we played this music piece. I was going through some playlist I made and I found this so I said “I’ll listen to it why not” so I stared to listen to this and on my face a smile started to grow and almost started to cry. This reminded me of all the good times in had in band that year and how everything was normal. I miss it.
I'm playing the Bari sax in this piece. I love this piece so much. It's also my band teachers last concert before retirement. I'm glad I could have her. She's the best

Liam O'Dwyer I play this on French Horn too! It's so tiring but I love how it sounds (especially at measure 58 (I think I don't have my music) when the horns come in, its so cool... My band director even has us lift our horns for it)
Any fellow bari sax players come back to this because of how fun it was
In 8th grade, I played bass clarinet, but the same year I played bari sax in Jazz band and double bass in Orchestra. I LOVE basses. (I’m also super small still only 4.9)

My band director said, "THERE'S A CLARINET FEATURE?!" It was funny, but I was offended. He found out at 0:46 when we tried sight reading the piece.
Why would you be offended? I do clarinet too.
Do you even know what offend means?
Yup
#FrenchHorn
Yes the repetitive and easy yet great mallet part
YIKES - flutegang
I was told by my director to figure out a way to make this song sound good with a timp part that requires 4 timps. pluss suspended cymbal and still have it sound good

Is there only like 1 flute in this band??
I don't see any p's for them, maybe?
For me, I sometimes just can't hear them but I'm also the loudest in *_my_* band. I usually listen for my instrument so it'd make sense that I'd hear no flutes.
I can't hear the Tuba part lmao
By band makes the clarinets play FF sooooo I try not to squeak I’ve only squeaked once tho😃😃
Update This is easy asf
