Starting to sound like a broken record here but, thanks once again Nick for yet another excellent video! You are quickly becoming if not are a mentor for some of us newbies.

Great job Nick, Love the shape on your Handles. I see the work you did on the Little Pig Sticker, and it feels good in my hand. Waiting for part 7.

Your vids are always great to watch. I'm always learning from them because you really know how to explain things well, plus all the different camera angles you give us are do a great job putting everything together to make sense. The only thing is, I'm nowhere near this level of skill lol But I can deffinitely adapt your techniques to the skill level I am at. Thanks again for being so generous to take all of this time to shoot and edit these vids for us, you are very much appreciated!! :) -Paul

***** Thanks Paul, I appreciate you posting that! :) The good thing about it, is that none of us that are really trying are anywhere near where we want to be... so we're always pushing to get better. Those guys that don't feel that way, are stagnate. Thanks Paul! :)

what speed do you run your disc grinder. can not afford a variable speed, but can do a 1725 Rpm motor .. would 1/2 HP work ? is there a different speed for blade work and handle work ?
BTW.. you rock in teaching and inspiring excellence in knife making..

What brand is your disk grinder. I'm starting to purchase some equipment and this is one of the items I want to get. My thought is 9" disk sander. I don't want to go cheap nor extremely expensive. Thoughts?

ThreeCrosses All my disc sanders are "shop-built." You want a 9" disc so you can make your own discs from 9"X11" sheets. If you're going to do finish grinding on it, you have to have a reversible unit, and variable speed is very important too, IMHO.

Nick Wheeler What motor and speed control system do you use/recommend? Thanks!
