For the eczema on hands and neck the best thing is diaper rash creams (desitin, i use the equate one tho), its the best, super white and ugly but it tones it down super fast and controls the itchyness

Hey this is my first time watching, this is a great video. I purchased tower 28 during the Sephora sale so I am excited to get my products once they come. Also! I have has eczema for as long as I can remember. One day my coworker came into the lunch room while I was scratching like crazy on my neck. He has suggest me something I am forever grateful for. Alkaline water ! Drink everyday , trust me. I have no more eczema! Also Aveeno oat bath, I don’t take a bath in it, but I created a paste with it, put it on itch areas let sit while I shaved my legs then turned the water a little colder and washed off with the palm of my hands. Trust me this sounds crazy and I have never watched your videos but this stuff helped sooo much. No more steaming hot showers as you shower start hot and slowly make it colder till you can not bare it then jump out. These things helped me and I tell you I was so embarrassed by my eczema and was afraid to wear my wedding dress showing it. Now I am eczema free and my wedding got canceled cause of Covid but . . I can say I am ready to show off my new skin in my wedding dress . I hope this helps you , I will keep supporting!

Many people who have eczema are deficient in Zinc. Simply search what happens when you are deficient in Zinc. Just saying.

Ok, this is my first video I’m seeing of yours, and I’ll finish watching, BUT I had to pause 2 minutes in to say this. I have extremely severe dyshidrotic eczema, and I never had any eczema until March 2015, 2 months after becoming a mom. As a beauty junkie, I’d known of Tower 28 for a while, but it wasn’t until their SOS Rescue Spray popped up on my safe list (I was patch tested in 2017, and one of my triggers is Tocopherol??! Vitamin E?? Good for skin, in almost EVERYTHING, WHAT!!?! Why? Lol. But, sigh.) and I haven’t even purchased it yet, but I’m obsessed with Cashew gloss. Anyway, ADHD is leading me all over the place, but I’m appreciative of this brand, and I’m even more psyched to see someone genuinely reviewing it, who probably has a longer experience with dealing with eczema than the creator, even. Not to canonize you, but. 💖 It’s a don’t-know-until-you-know situation.
Rainier I keep coming back to this video because it is hands down the most thoughtful and thorough review on TOWER 28 beauty. I bought two lipglosses and Magic hour lip/cheek balm. I am going to exchange the clear lipgloss because I did not realize how sheer the coloured ones were (even though you clearly state it in your video). LADIES there's no point in buying clear because the tinted ones are so super sheer! I plan to buy the red lipgloss and the the lip/cheek balm, but they've been sold out on Sephora for a while.

Love your top! Is it linen or denim? I hadn't thought about the lack of a mirror making the products recyclable - that's pretty dope. And we love a multi-functional product!
Acrylic is not easily recycled and even if you do put it in your recycling, most recycling centers will depose of it as trash. While acrylic, like almost all plastic, can be recycled, it is one of the hardest to recycle and will probably just end up in a landfill like that vast majority of all of our other plastic. Most of our plastic use to be sold to China for recycling and shipping it there was just as environmentally harmful as landfills anyway. The USA doesn't really have the facilities to recycle and China no longer buys our recycling so the continued act of putting our trash into recycling bins is just a feel good thing, but it isn't getting recycled and never was getting recycled. There is a good documentary by NPR and Frontline called Plastic Wars where they found that less than 10% of plastic ever gets recycled and the plastic industry just manipulated us all with these huge campaigns that made us think that if it went in the recycle bin then it got recycled when it really never mattered if we threw it in the trash or recycling bin to begin with. I ended up going on a long rant there. I don't mean this as an attack on you at all, but if Tower is trying to sell their products as recyclable or environmentally friendly then I feel that is misleading and unethical of the company. While almost all makeup packaging will end up in landfills, I don't like companies trying to pretend that their packaging is any more likely to actually get recycled. I really wish they would ban all plastic packaging as someone who does consume makeup because pretty much all the makeup we buy is gathering up in landfills. I always think cruelty free is misleading as well because between shipping and plastic waste, no product is cruelty free. Just because you are not testing on animals doesn't mean your company isn't hurting them. Sorry again for the rant, just something that always gets me heated.
They're quite literally the only brand to capitalize on and produce a hypochlorous acid spray (and serum). Hypochlorous acid is basically bleach and anyone suffering with bad eczema will probably know or hear that taking a bleach bath can alleviate the flare-ups. Good to know the founder herself suffers from eczema too - their spray alone is already a stand-out, I haven't seen anything else on the market that uses HC acid as an active!

Kyla Rhoanne hiii! I wouldn’t say it’s a dupe. The Glossier gloss is a lot thicker than the Tower 28 gloss. It’s also not as nourishing! And the Glossier gloss lasts longer than the Tower 28 one. But I personally love both glosses! Hmmm. I just tried looking it up and I’m not sure! But it is available at Sephora and Credo Beauty and those might ship internationally!
Can eczema be onset by anxiety? I’ve been sensitive for a while but recently I’ve had the redness and itching on certain areas. Neck, lower arms, back...(scratching now lol)
Danielle YES 100%. I always get really bad eczema flare ups when I am either really stressed out or my anxiety levels are heightened! Like a couple weeks into the pandemic in the US I started getting really bad flare ups on my neck, eyes and back too! all due to anxiety and stress. So you’re def not alone girl. Also, during undergrad I would have super bad eczema flare ups right around finals week!!
Rainier Cramer thank you for sharing. I was getting a lil concerned. I just switched to cetaphil from Aveeno. Also using Eucerin. CVS has a new line out for Eczema with honey. I might try that too after I see how this Cetaphil does long term. So far so good. It helps. Lucky us😉

Boxycharm was selling their stuff at super discounted so I picked up a few products and they have cannabis and Manuka honey in them which I heard both help with eczema so I’m like SO 😬 excited to try them out once I get them!! I’ve really been like the eczema lotion from Eucerin! And I just picked up the gold bond one too. Lmao. I don’t even want to know how much I’ve spent on eczema products 💔💔

Poojitha Tanjore so personally I’d recommend Glossier! Just because Spicy is a tad too pigmented for my taste in a gloss! But it really depends on what you’re going for. Glossier glow is much stickier and lasts longer while Tower 28 is slippy, super nourishing and has more of a sheen but doesn’t last a super long time! Hope that’s helpful!!

I really like the Honest body wash Soothing Therapy for eczema prone skin. It has that stamp of approval too, and it’s so gentle.

Misfitiff oooo yes! Such good shades! So glad you love them too! Yeah I totally see that. I feel like it’s really easy to go over board with the bronzer. Idk what you’re using to applying it but I find a stipple brush makes the application a lot easier/better for me!!

Acrylic is not easily recycled and even if you do put it in your recycling, most recycling centers will depose of it as trash. While acrylic, like almost all plastic, can be recycled, it is one of the hardest to recycle and will probably just end up in a landfill like that vast majority of all of our other plastic. Most of our plastic use to be sold to China for recycling and shipping it there was just as environmentally harmful as landfills anyway. The USA doesn't really have the facilities to recycle and China no longer buys our recycling so the continued act of putting our trash into recycling bins is just a feel good thing, but it isn't getting recycled and never was getting recycled. There is a good documentary by NPR and Frontline called Plastic Wars where they found that less than 10% of plastic ever gets recycled and the plastic industry just manipulated us all with these huge campaigns that made us think that if it went in the recycle bin then it got recycled when it really never mattered if we threw it in the trash or recycling bin to begin with.
I ended up going on a long rant there. I don't mean this as an attack on you at all, but if Tower is trying to sell their products as recyclable or environmentally friendly then I feel that is misleading and unethical of the company. While almost all makeup packaging will end up in landfills, I don't like companies trying to pretend that their packaging is any more likely to actually get recycled. I really wish they would ban all plastic packaging as someone who does consume makeup because pretty much all the makeup we buy is gathering up in landfills. I always think cruelty free is misleading as well because between shipping and plastic waste, no product is cruelty free. Just because you are not testing on animals doesn't mean your company isn't hurting them. Sorry again for the rant, just something that always gets me heated.

They're quite literally the only brand to capitalize on and produce a hypochlorous acid spray (and serum). Hypochlorous acid is basically bleach and anyone suffering with bad eczema will probably know or hear that taking a bleach bath can alleviate the flare-ups. Good to know the founder herself suffers from eczema too - their spray alone is already a stand-out, I haven't seen anything else on the market that uses HC acid as an active!

Kyla Rhoanne hiii! I wouldn’t say it’s a dupe. The Glossier gloss is a lot thicker than the Tower 28 gloss. It’s also not as nourishing! And the Glossier gloss lasts longer than the Tower 28 one. But I personally love both glosses! Hmmm. I just tried looking it up and I’m not sure! But it is available at Sephora and Credo Beauty and those might ship internationally!

Can eczema be onset by anxiety? I’ve been sensitive for a while but recently I’ve had the redness and itching on certain areas. Neck, lower arms, back...(scratching now lol)
Danielle YES 100%. I always get really bad eczema flare ups when I am either really stressed out or my anxiety levels are heightened! Like a couple weeks into the pandemic in the US I started getting really bad flare ups on my neck, eyes and back too! all due to anxiety and stress. So you’re def not alone girl. Also, during undergrad I would have super bad eczema flare ups right around finals week!!

Boxycharm was selling their stuff at super discounted so I picked up a few products and they have cannabis and Manuka honey in them which I heard both help with eczema so I’m like SO 😬 excited to try them out once I get them!! I’ve really been like the eczema lotion from Eucerin! And I just picked up the gold bond one too. Lmao. I don’t even want to know how much I’ve spent on eczema products 💔💔

Poojitha Tanjore so personally I’d recommend Glossier! Just because Spicy is a tad too pigmented for my taste in a gloss! But it really depends on what you’re going for. Glossier glow is much stickier and lasts longer while Tower 28 is slippy, super nourishing and has more of a sheen but doesn’t last a super long time! Hope that’s helpful!!
