Sadly this cannot happen. As said in the digimon tri series. If a digimon dies or gets turned into dust or whatever in the real world, it cannot regenerate. I have been a digimon mega fan since I was 2. I am now 14 and still watch it to this day. I watched this a couple days ago and have never cried harder. It’s sad to know that agumon is gone, and digimon has ended.

It’s technically not canon, in the canon version we get to see them as adults with their digimon and their kids having digimon. I like this version better though.
@@JoeMamaEditz have a theory about that can prove both are canon, digimon represent childhood and the things form a lot of times when you grow up you need leave these things behind but when you become a parent you want to introduce the things you loved during your own childhood and sometimes it will make retun to these things aka the digimon can retun between last evolution and 02 ending, I think that's the kind of symbolism the writers wanted to tell us
I love Last Evolution Kizuna. Such a beautiful work of art. It really resonated eith me. Digimon is a franchise that isnt afraid to hrow up. The ways Tai and Matt feel aimless, lost, and confused about theie young adulthood were so relatable for me at the time this movie came out. Theres a conflict between innocence and maturity which just hit so close to home. I cried like a baby.

I prefer the original epilogue. Heck, in Xros Wars manga, Zeromaru is still alive but his tamer had passed away. He misses him so much, that's why he never stop recounting his adventures, even doing his Victory gestures. He even recognize Arukaidimon and dealt with him personally.
I miss Digimon, I honestly liked it more than Pokémon. I hated how it ended and prefer how Digimon Adventures 2 ended, with all the digidestined grown up and having jobs that allows them to work with their Digimon; like Ken and Wormmon being detectives or Jyou being a doctor.

That said there's also the issue that people think Digimon came out in 1999 (that is only when the anime came out, not Digimon in general). Google doesn't help in that matter but Pokemon's release is only a year before Digimon, and a few months older to Tamagotchi, the franchise that Digimon came from. Digimon and Tamagotchi actually had 2 of the same people work on them.
I've always loved Digimon even since I was a kid. Even tho I wasn't even born when it first came out I still loved it. People thought I was weird because I was watching it and that I still watch it now but it brings back the good times and it truly will be apart of me. I have yet to see this movie but I'm making my way up to it and I know I'm going to cry so much but that's OK.

How do I describe what it was like watching Digimon as a kid...my dad would take business trips, it was winter, I'd sit in his office with the heater on me wrapped in a blanket.....I'd say a really good cozy Christmas. That's what Digimon was to me. Fox kids has other shows and Monster Rancher, but let's be serious for a moment, we were all really in it for the Digimon.
When I at year 6 at primary school, digimon adventures is my favourite anime. At that time I can draw all characters that I remember without looking at the picture. Because of that I really love digimon adventures. It's my childhood memory and it's become a memories for me. I hope Taichi and Matt will meet Agumon and Gabumon again.

Bring back memories of when i would turn the original on the tv and just watch it i wasent a 1999 kid but i watched it when i was introduced to it which caused me to become obsess with the show. i just seen the new 02 movie 😭

Well I literally have the same age that the franchise have, and we are together since I can remember (and I mean it, some of my first memories are of me playing Digimon World 3. Also played 1 and 2, but 3 was my favorite). And I have just started reading Digimon Liberation today... So yeah, I don't believe I will ever stop following Digimon content.
Digimon was probably my first anime as a kid
