What I do to get a little more flavor is I make my initial bread like a French toast. So both sides of the bread have coating. Then I pre heat a toaster oven and add the ham and cheese so it melts a bit. And then add the jelly and have a bit of syrup on the side.
I just made a Monte Cristo sandwich for the first time today. I put rasberry on the last slice of bread on the inside it tasted so good. I also used turkey too on the second half of sandwich. I used more rasberry on the plate and covered it with powdered sugar and some pancake syrup.
that is my question too.. i think while putting it on the pan. the ham will cook for a while. maybe it is our choice if we will cook it on a separate pan 😅
