Thanks! It was a blast to build. I'm starting the next one mentioned in the video soon. It will have two more articulations and 2-4 more springs, plus the arrow lift mechanism should be better.

Saw another guy with a similar design use a 3d printed ring that held three toothbrush heads as his arrow rest.

That’s a very nice bow. But those are pulleys not cams. The difference is the cams are ‘just that’ cams. Meaning they are oval so as when the bow string is pulled then the cams work like cantilevers, which that’s what they are and the pull on the bow string gets easy after you break over the first part of the cam. It’s called “let off pressure”. But again it’s a very nice bow. Thank you for posting it. What I like most about it is that it is very clean looking.

What’s the draw weight on a bow like this?

I'm actually not sure. I'll have to measure it soon and post the results. I've made many PVC bows that range between 25-35lbs for draw weight and this one feels like it could be 40lbs.

@@antburt what is the draw weight of each spring? I'm asking this because I'm planning to use springs to make a bow, but seeing other videos on the Internet it seems like springs powered bows release the arrow much slower than you should expect, kinda if some draw weight of the spring is lost in the mechanical movement. Your it's the only bow in which I didn't saw that "unexpected slow release", I want to compliment you for your work!
