There’s a reason it’s an “American DREAM,” and not “the American GOAL.” You can make dreams whatever you want to be. If everybody had the same exact dream, it’s not a dream, it’s something that you’ve been told to pursue
As a college student this is insightful, especially after creating a podcast episode on whether the American Dream exists or not, and if it should be pursued

marries a " Predatory Narcissist," who has a history of " using " people, and " discarding " her victims afher she is finished " using " them...

I will say this at least students do not have the typical pink or purple hair lol it’s nice to here these students want the house and family down the road.
The housing shortage created by nimbys will make that dream harder.

The only way to make it affordable is to allow a lot of development so that supply can cover demand.
The American dream is like hitting the lotto. The range of wealth and poverty will always have a canyon to separate life and death and the time spent between the two with yourself.

Still achievable, but there’s a huge government sized roadblock in the way that needs disposing of.

The American dream exists but you have to be asleep to see it.

The American Dream to me was that if you worked hard and did the right things, you would at least have a comfortable middle-class life. Maybe it was true in the '60s, but it's not true anymore.

Or there trying to figure out how to answer this unsubstantiatable question. It didn't even point towards one end. Some of them answered an economic question and the others a social.

Depressing.
Only one of them seemed to understand & (crudely) articulate the American Dream: "small government & to be left alone".
The rest were just wishing for their chosen success story. Some at least understood hard work was necessary. They hoped to live the dream but had no ability to express it in correct abstract terms. That shows just how thoroughly US education is failing Americans.
The American Dream and Capitalism go hand in hand. When Capitalism gets toppled then the American Dream withers. More Freedom Less Control.
I will assume that you mean FREE and FAIR MARKET CAPITALISM ... and not the predatory version as characterized by Marx? If yes, then I will definitely agree.
What happen when we had less government and far more capitalism?
